The job that was held by Don Helbig has been posted. More information at the link below.

Oh, the original description says it’s at Kings Island but the title says Schlitterbahn. The correct information is it’s for Kings Island. #KIComms

Note that number is an estimate from SimplyHired.com.  It is not supplied by CFEC/KI and thus is not terribly useful in determining the budget for this position.

Glassdoor seems to show manager salaries at CedarFair are similar to what’s posted on this job listing. Cedar Fair in general is not a very high paying company for most positions.

Exactly.  If they paid like Buc-ee's they would show the salary in the job posting like Buc-ee's does....

Not disputing that, they are not exactly known for the most competitive of pay.  Just pointing out that the numbers shown are an algorithmic estimate only.

Maybe it is worse or completely on the lower end ;)

That would not surprise me.

New York State I think just passed a law requiring open positions to list pay range.

As you say, any job that doesn't say it out in the open are probably embarrassed about the number.

Something like 8 states require salary range transparency, with many more considering it.  NY is the latest.  However, of those states, some only require employers provide it upon request.

Every enthusiast and their mother wants that job, although most don’t understand the scope beyond Tweeting. They use that as leverage to pay less. I spent the week with someone who works for a roller coaster company last week. They told me something that is likely true for this. Something like, “It’s cool that I’m designing rollercoasters, but when it comes down to it, it’s a lot of hard work, so for the most part it’s like any other job.”

I hope the job goes to Kyle. He seems to be building a life for himself at KD, but I imagine he still wants to come home. He could also be a vehicle to repair the parks relationship with the enthusiasts.
