Pantherian at KD not opening until summer

So Pantherian did reopen, but according to a few KD fan pages on Facebook, allegedly, its shredding the new Intamin wheels and the water system may be failing.

I wonder if that could have been caught and fixed while the ride was down, or if the water system is only able to be thoroughly tested while the ride is in operation.

Can we please also take a moment to call out that hokey-a$$ repaint on the Monte Carlo bodies, especially the “eyes” where the headlight decals used to be, who did that Doswell Elementary students???  Way to “phone it in” SF!

Took so long to get it going, the return window for the wheels is long gone, so might as well use them up

I will say, it does match the artwork of the other rides in the Jungle-X area...probably should have sprung for different fiberglass body shapes though.

My suspension of disbelief led me to think the new wraps made them look kind of like carved stone, where the weird shape could be chalked up to the shapes of the stone. A new fiberglass body could help more once they have the money to spend on it.

The way I see it, they didnt re-theme FoFs building or anything within it, so this whole wad of cash and ridiculous 1/2+ season of downtime for the ride could have been solved by simply ponying up the dough and giving it to Theresa Earnhardt (the owner of all Earnhardt Sr. intellectual property rights since DEI was dissolved) to renew the licensing agreements to keep it I-305.

It was running fine when I was there over the holiday weekend. The water sprayers were working.
