Losantiville Mining Co.
While I hope TT2's issues are able to be fixed in a timely manner, I wonder at what point the park would decide to pull the plug. Its time being closed has brought nothing but ill will to Cedar Point and its marketing. Every comment section will continue to be littered with "I drove [x amount of hours] to come to Cedar Point only to find Top Thrill 2 closed". This thrilling Frankenstein's Monster of a coaster has been in almost every piece of advertising material the park has put out for a little over two years now, and it has only run for about 30 days total? If it does get torn down, the area where the hill is would unironically be a great spot for a new family coaster, à la Snoopy's Soap Box Racers! Similarly to how Kings Island needs another big thrill coaster, Cedar Point needs a new family coaster in one of their children's areas. Cedar Point already has a ton of major coasters and this one just keeps causing trouble. I hope Top Thrill 2 has a bright and prosperous future, but at some point it needs to be realized that it is harming the park more than it is not.

I have said from the beginning I'm hoping this doesn't turn into the 1981 Bat 2.0 of being open a few years but only operating for less than one season combined If CP pulls the plug, either zamperla is going to make amends with them or CP is going to sue them over this failure. I mean come on even the original wasn't closed this often and it was an Intamin for crying out loud - the manufacturer who at the time was plagued with issues continuously! I hope all turns out well, they will thankfully have siren's curse to distract from the closure of TT2 but yeah at what point do they say they want a rollercoaster that can operate longer than only one month each season?

Seems as though there was a cable on the spike used for safety for the person inspecting the spike every morning that was damaged/broken. Something like that would just need to have a new cable secured before daily inspections could resume and would not require a new round of testing of the ride since the cable wasn't part of the ride experience itself.

Losantiville Mining Co.
Let's hope it stays open! Like I said, Cedar Point does not need any more bad publicity from it.
Diamondback_Is_King
Hopefully smooth sailing until Siren's Curse opening...and hopefully smooth sailing after the opening, too. If Siren's Curse experiences lots of breakdowns, that would hurt Cedar Point a lot.

Ryan's latest video did say it was indeed a crack in the structure that needed repaired.
KIBeast
If it's a crack in a support, I would presume the ride would be closed longer than a few days. Fury was closed like over a month.

Fury was closed like over a month. If it was a minor crack, then welding seemed to have fixed it. Fury needed an entire new support, hence why that was closed longer.
KIBeast
I understand what you mean, but I have not seen any reports that any welding has gone on.
