Ik it's unlikely they'd do an animatronic based ride, but if this is a Phantom Theater revival and since Sally Dark Rides (assuming that's who is behind this project) makes animatronics. I really want them to at least have an animatronic maestro playing the organ in the queue area like in the original Phantom Theater. What I don't want is what is in the queue now where FunTVs are playing. The FunTV's in BB's queue imo is the worst location for FunTVs in the park.

I agree it takes away from the spooky atmosphere a haunted house is supposed to have, whatever happened to people just looking at the scenery at just talking to your friends in line?

Available advertisement space is what happened.

I'd really like to see Phantom Theater return even if it's with the blaster aspect. Any current blasters/targets would probably get replaced with ones more like they did at Carowinds. Looking away from certain posts on social media (even though I trust their opinions and possible knowledge of plans), I could see BBoBH becoming either a different Sally Dark Rides attraction or being turned into an IP-based ride.

One thing for sure.. we cant be getting something in The Vortex, tomb raider, and the boo blaster locations the same year.

And also.. whatever eventually comes.. I have a fear it will feel budget. (In some small way)

Id hope we get the capacity of our original phantom theatre.. id love that IP to come back also but.. no matter what theme.. Please. Be. Good.

I think six flags would want to take control and utilize their ( now) exclusive IP.  No company to pay for it, etc.  I don't know if PTE came with a new copyright/trademark for the IP or not.

If it's never been assigned exclusively to them, who's to say that another operator cannot use it?  Or that  Mr. Balstrap wouldn't take control of his work and license it out.

Think of the scale: all the boo blasters become phantom theater. Knotts replacement of Beary Tales.  They let justice league dark rides licensing expire and take PT IP there.

I mean, in a like manner, if my banana trees are producing great and plentiful fruit, why would I buy bananas at the Kroger store?

I'd rather see Phantom Theater contained to just Kings Island or to KI and one other theme park. Pushing it out to the other parks would make it less far less unique and would probably not work as well theming-wise. It definitely would not work with the Justice League dark rides without some major adjustments, especially in the parks where it's square in the middle of a DC-themed land.

I think Scooby Doo and Boo Blasters worked as an addition for Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds, and Kings Dominion because it was a classic small interactive dark ride. It could work as a non-interactive dark ride, but I think it would lose something at those parks. On my 2019 trip to Elitch Gardens I was able to ride the Meow Wolf kaleidoscope dark ride after it had been converted from either Scooby Doo or Boo Blasters (almost a clone of the one at KD), and I don't recall it having the laser guns. The theme made up for it, but the lack of the interactive aspects made it a little worse in my book.

Oh me, too. But in an age of austerity for six flags, anything would be on the table.

As far as the justice league buildings, of course I know that's not likely to ever happen, but stranger things have.  As far as PT being in the middle of DC, if they are slashing costs, it's happened in the history of both companies as things evolve...Asian, Italian, American in the German themed building, Cajun food in  The French Building, a giant tan garage housing a jungle themed ride in Rivertown, and The Junkyard Coaster in the no man's land between Rivertown and the Arena Formerly Known As Coney Mall.

And that's just one park!
