Are those that already bought Prestige getting the shaft once again?

News out of KD....apparently a similar rollout will be coming to the KI region soon.  And the Season Long FL in the east region has been cut in half in price as well.

So those that bought Prestige with add-ons would have benefitted by waiting....

They really are trying to encourage people to wait until the day before they visit the park with these constant revisions...

And they will wonder why sales are down during the August rollout for 2027....

Lot's of chatter in other socials about class action lawsuit, but we know that will go nowhere.

And Prestige will still buy Prestige.

Yeah, I'm not happy with others getting a $300 discount on a product I paid $999 for just because of their pass type.

Don't forget their single park meal plans get upgraded too

It looks like the new leadership really wanted to get their pass revisions in before a majority of the parks open for the season. It would've been better if they created a sub-group pass type for the Gold+APP buyers that would end on 12/31 and then make the "new" regional Gold Pass the standard. That way the Gold+APP passholders wouldn't automatically gain all of the Prestige benefits while still maintaining what they paid for. Call it Gold+ and treat it like the Legacy Memberships for Diamond Elite and Diamond Elite VIP memberships.

The current pass program is relatively simple, but the rollout is what has caused all of the pain. For all of us Legacy Cedar Fair folks it's gone from Gold/Platinum to Gold/Prestige both w/ the APP to Silver/Gold/Prestige to Regional Gold/All-Park Prestige. I really hope for 2027 passes they find a model and stick to it — though that is what I assume all of this trial and error is for. In reality this isn't even trial and error, this is just the process of switching to a new pass system without changing the pass names.

Maybe for 2027 they should just change all of the pass names anyways since the passes are different from what they used to be, especially for the Legacy SF passholders whose pass names and benefits have all changed so much recently.

I think the biggest problem is how they are seemingly incapable of figuring out what they're selling before they take people's money for it. It's becoming way too frequent that their finances don't go the way they want, so they either take away something people already purchased or give away the gate and ruin the park experience to make a quick buck. And then they wonder why people are increasingly choosing other local entertainment options.

I am on the payment plan. I highly doubt there will be an adjustment to my payment. I am not sure I care about getting Prestige for free?

You get unlimited free tap water in the VIP Lounge with Prestige.

I haven't been following the SF pass strategy insanity closely. What are you referring to here?

Those buying Prestige passes from parks like Carowinds are able to get all season Fast Lane - all park for about $499-599 (can't remember the direct breakdown).

I wouldn't worry so much about the price itself - it was either "worth it" to you or not at $1,000. But the issue I see is that cutting the price in half will likely saturate and dilute FL/FLP even further than it already is. The daily prices have been far too low, and so too have the season long FLP passes, judging by the ever-increasing FL/FLP queues.

The only thing I'm really worrying about is the over saturation. I mean, I typically "pay off" the $1k by June at the latest with the number of redemptions. It'd just be nice to have some of that $ still in my pocket.

I would guess this makes FL lines the same or shorter at most every park. No more cheap single park option for locals, families, and folks that don't typically travel. I also don't think people travel to other parks as much as folks think they do.

I'm sure this is ignorance on my part, but how are folks getting what is effectively a $300 discount? Is it because the pass itself is $~300 cheaper? Because at the Midwest parks it seems all season Fast Lane is still $1,000.

I may not have been clear, so if not my bad. Carowinds is $499 right now, so anyone who has Prestige can use it at any park, as well as Kings Dominion, Dorney, Six Flags Fiesta Texas ($449), Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Great Escape, Six Flags New England, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Six Flags Over Georgia ($449).

A hand full of parks have it listed for $625.

I just don't think it's right that they sell an add on for $999 across the board at the beginning of the season sales, which are supposed to be the best sales and then all the sudden they drop the price for the same exact item. But again, I guess they have their $.

One thing I'd like to point out, from an archived copy of their site from August:

Is their excuse really going to be that they meant it was the lowest price of 2025 on 2026 passes? But at least the new CEO wants to "earn people's trust back".

I mean the pass prices from July still seems to be the lowest price for 2026 passes, and were the biggest bang for your buck. The bad thing is just that the benefits have changed at least three times. A $99 Gold Pass with access to 40 parks is a major bargain compared to paying $140 for access to 12 parks. As for the All Season Fast Lane add on, that needs to be fixed immediately. I'll maintain my point that every "All Park" option should be the same price no matter where you buy it from. Every "Regional" option should be the same price no matter where in the region you buy it from. The Silver Pass should be available at every park for people who only want access to their home park.

Reilly looks to be using other methods to earn back the trust from guests and associates. It seems that there will be more consistency once he's been able to implement his overall changes. It just sucks that this is all happening over the course of 6+ months instead of all at once with plenty of forewarning.

Something that Six Flags desperately needs to work on is making sure everything is clear, concise, and correct across all of their platforms. The terms and conditions for the All Season Fast Lane add-on purchase page on Kings Island's website talks about "Fast Lane Ultimate" — an item that does not and has never existed at this park. It's probably left over from the Legacy Six Flags parks Flash Pass Ultimate option. Hopefully this and the rest of the issues are resolved soon.

I don't see how anyone could take "lowest price of the year" to mean anything other than the year 2025... What else would "year" refer to?

So, if I purchase my all season fastlane at Carowinds for 500 and visit their first, my all season fastlane will be the same as buying it at Kings Island for 1000?

You can only purchase add-ons from the park your pass is from. If you have yet to buy any Six Flags passes for 2026 and are fine with spending the extra money on Prestige to get All-Park access and the $500-ish on the All Season Fast Lane, then sure. If you've already bought a pass from another park and/or only want the Gold Pass benefits (a new Carowinds Gold Pass will not get you into KI) then you're out of luck.

I haven't bought my passes for this year, and I always buy 3 with the all season fastlanes. I was about to buy on KI website, but I guess im going to buy on carowinds and take a weekend visit next month.  The savings pays for the trip
