SIX is now green by saving on AI resources by not having it come up with a new name, logo, and slogan for the ride.

My theory is that they had a name, either "rethemed" the ride or found out that it was already in use, and then changed it to the easiest possible name. This isn't the first time we've seen Cedar Fair Six Flags use a model name for a thrill coaster: see Invertigo at Kings Island. This could've always been the name they had in mind as well.

The theme to this ride definitely feels linked to Quantum Accelerator at SFNE.

That's also a possibility! The new Six Flags doesn't want to reuse coaster names between their parks, therefore the Quantum Accelerator name went to the coaster that opened with it first.

Was CyberCycle already trademarked or something? That imo would've been a way better name for the theme of this

A lot of incredibly talented, passionate and hardworking people have been shown the door. The result is in the results.

Last time I checked Ken Parks still runs the planning and design team and he has done a good job with storytelling in the recent Six Flags projects.

I have no knowledge of how things are structured under SF, but anecdotally it seems like the best results are had when individual parks' P&D groups are left alone to do their thing with little, if any, oversight or parenting from "corporate". I'm not saying that is or isn't happening in this case, but talented as Ken Parks may be, it could be the structure of things within SF that produces uninspired names like "Thrill Glider".

Past and some recent projects are the result when he had a team I’m sure! A quick google confirms there was a mass layoff summer of last year. The work on Rapterra, Adventure Port, Orion all had passion written all over it by workers who were true fans of parks. That team was let go.

The ai logos, t shirts, merch since… it’s just sad
