If he says anything about whirled peas, I am making Woofer ride The Georgia Cyclone in the backseat, repeatedly.

Wait a minute. There's a Ninja in that park.

Never mind. I think I want to keep the peas.

LOL!

Georgia...

Height of Summer...

Heavy Food...

And Roller Coasters....

... Never a good mix!

The statue was put there behind the tower in 2003 to promote the new Tomb Raider Movie "The Cradle of Life", and to promote the Tomb Raider Stunt Show. The show was preformed in 2003.

Here is the press release

"Big Screen" Action and Hollywood-Style Stunts Come to Life at Paramount's Kings Island July 15 - 27 in the Tomb Raider Stunt Show Featuring Lara Croft

Paramount Pictures'Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of LifeOpens in Movie Theaters on July 25

Kings Island, Ohio - In conjunction with the summer motion picture release of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, a Tomb Raider stunt spectacular with Hollywood-style action premieres at Paramount's Kings Island on Tuesday, July 15.

Complete with battles, stunts, explosions, and special effects, Tomb Raider Stunt Show features a Hollywood stunt cast -- led by the "treasure hunter" heroine, Lara Croft. The show is staged by top motion picture stunt experts, and is set among the ruins of a long-extinct civilization, where Lara Croft must pit her martial arts and weapons expertise against a ruthless gang of evildoers.

The stage explodes with excitement as Lara struggles to prevent an ancient source of unimaginable power from being unleashed. Intrepid, smart and sexy, Croft faces her greatest challenges yet in this live action stunt show that entertains kids of all ages.

"Park guests will experience the thrill of the Hollywood stunt business firsthand in this action- packed live performance," explained Stan Morrell, director of global entertainment for Paramount Parks. "You'll feel like you're right in the heart of a Tomb Raider adventure," he added.

This special, limited engagement of the Tomb Raider Stunt Show runs, 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (Sun. - Fri.) and 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (Sat.), from July 15 through July 27. The stunt show will take place in the International Showplace located to the right of the Eiffel Tower on International Street. Admission to the Tomb Raider stunt show is free with park admission. Does anyone remember that Tomb Raider stunt show? Sounds like it was pretty cool wish they had a show like that again. Seems to me no one really wants to watch all these shows where they sing old 60s 70s or 80s music. The best show out of all the parks to me has always been the one at CP in the Red Garter Saloon I think its called I wish they would build something like this at KI. But the best show Ive ever seen period is the car stunt show at Disney World, so I may be alone on this but I think a stunt show could be really cool, maybe if they built a stage for it where timberwolf is, it would fit with Action Zone rather well.

Well, first things first. Do you know how well the shows at KI have been attended? What are you basing the fact that no one likes to watch the song revue type shows anymore? Heck, even the live shows at Coney get decent sized crowds, and the talent at Coney is no where near as stellar as what Kings Island`s shows have.

Secondly, the stunt show at Disney (Lights, Motor Action), is a big budget stunt show. The reason it is big budget is because Disney is a year round park that attracts a lot more people than KI and generates more revenue each year. Each Disney park brings in more than 10 million people a year, if my memory serves me right. By comparison, Kings Island only brings in about 3 million, give or take.

Furthermore, the idea of a big stunt show was tried. Last year, Canada`s Wonderland had the Hollywood Stunt Spectacular. They built a stage and stands in their parking lot for the show. (Which from what I heard, got less than stellar reviews). That show was designed to be a traveling show, that would visit each of the Paramount Parks for a year. The word on the street was that Kings Island was to have gotten it for this year. However, Cedar Fair decided to put the attraction up for sale. Not sure if they ever found a buyer for it though.

I completely agree with Coasters on this one. Having seen all five shows, four of them more than once, I can honestly say that KI's Entertainment department deserves and has earned the upmost praise for all they have achieved this season. The skating is tremendous in Endless Summer, the singing is fantastic in Hot Island Rhythms, the choreography and energy is amazing in Meet The Nicktoons, Dora's Singalong Adventure is a hit with every kid and parent that sees it, and Twistin To The 60's brings back hits from the days when things were simple. So KI is definitely not lacking in their entertainment this season.

Another thing. You can't fault the Entertainment Department for the shows they are performing. They're doing a fantastic job, and they didn't choose the shows they're doing, they're just making the best out of them.

I saw the TR Stunt show, it was pretty cool. I also seen the Lights Motor Action Show at MGM back in February, and I agree that has to be a high budget show, but very well done!

Yeah, I remember taking the Backlot tour at MGM and at one part you could see the massive amount of tires that they have to keep on property for the show. I thought they said they have to change tires like every two shows (maybe every show) or something to keep them fresh. It is an amazing show. However, I don't see something like it high on KI's list even though it would fit pretty well in AZ.

Again not saying its something realistic or they SHOULD do it just saying I personally think it would be cool if they did.

If I recall correctly Sea World and or Six Flags Worlds of Adventure (now wildwater kingdom) used to have a stunt show in their huge theatre that faced the lake, and CF used it for a VERY stupid logger show, apparently CF isnt up on the whole stunt show thing.

And I was not saying the shows lacked in quality, I just personally don't find that type of content that entertaining.
