Hopefully they will get it up and running for Haunt. I know realistically they may not open it at all this season, but seeing it back up and running would be great, even if it's just for a little longer. I appreciate them keeping this old classic alive.
-
I know they would never do it, but imagine a retracked Invertigo in the same way The Great Nor'Easter (Vekoma SLC ) has been, giving it a super improved experience and some revamped trains with better tracking capabilities and the new style restraints Vekoma now uses. I know that would never happen as that would be a very expensive overhaul, but the ride quality and overall experience would be leveled up while also keeping the only operating Vekoma Invertigo stateside in operation and far better.

If you could have a sleepover at KI

Just outside the Main Dump between Soak City and the maintenance areas. -
Fun fact.... Above the Rivertown Larosa's was/is a full 1970's bedroom suite (allegely for Larosas full time team). with shag carpet and a full bathroom. It's seen better days, just used for storage now a days.
-
You can thank KIC for that even being there. Once it became a hot thread after everyone noticed it was fenced off (and no info from the park.) I reached out to the gold tag I communicated with, and the next day that was on their website.
-
The park's site states that they're waiting on a part.

I hate to see any ride retired and leave KI. I have seen too many in my life and losing the original Eagles still hurts. After just visiting Cedar Point again after a few years last week, I'd love a Maverick style coaster anywhere in the park. But, especially in the old Vortex spot. (or a ground up RMC, one can wish). I saw tons of kids and parents riding Maverick as intense and fun as it is. Not the biggest coaster in the world, but sure packs a fun punch. Took my youngest son for his first CP visit and Maverick was his first ride and favorite as well as Top Thrill 2. With Millie a close 3rd. Lightning Run In KK surprised me too the first time I ever rode it as a coaster that is family friendly. But wow, what ride! When I was a young kid, KI often pushed the boundaries a bit with the coasters they installed...The Beast, original Bat, King Cobra as examples. I think there is plenty of want for a more intense coaster experience watching young kids riding all the intense coasters at CP.
-
But But But people said it is always crowded and would never leave....
-
They should try to get the record of most inversions, but I don't think they will. Any inversions would be good for KI though. I love launch coasters, and something punchy that isn't FoF would be nice.
-
Carowinds quietly removed the parade from their Winterfest line up, changed to daytime hours, and rumors of no ice skating there as well. Wonder when or if KI will make the same announcement? The puzzle pieces start coming into focus for KI as no Tinkers means one less show and maybe an empty theater as well. Enjoy what’s left as KI Winterfest 3.0 as it likely comes to a sudden end this season.

Kings Island Halloween Haunt 2025 Discussion

We both knew, and expect, the park to be busy during Haunt despite this change. People love themselves the spooky season. People have been complaining for years that Haunt is watered down and just a regurgitation of Haunt 2019, yet every year we see tons of people in the park and Fast Lane lines approaching, out the queue. People complain, but people still show up. Gotta love the people on FB claiming they bought their passes EXCLUSIVELY for Haunt but when they start charging $10 for the mazes suddenly all of the haunted houses are run-down run-of-the-mill boring snoozefests that aren't worth a nickel out of your pocket. If that's the case, why did you buy a pass just to go? Some of the biggest complainers I know were among the first to buy that pass LOL -
Cool concept! Looks pretty long...how many launches did you include?

Kings Island Halloween Haunt 2025 Discussion

This also shows their strategy. Limit the “all season limited access” to push more traffic to the pr visit product, thereby potentially getting more yield through quantity sales when people have to buy it multiple times. It’s similar to the pushback Dollywood got a few years ago during Covid reservations when they limited passholder slots, yet had lots of “daily ticket purchase” availability. Unlimited access passholders don’t make you as much money. -

All but confirms that Legacy CF was selling themselves short with those cheap season passes. -

Good to see the interest in Haunt remains strong with guests quick to purchase the product. -

Case in point - charging to park and never filling in the potholes -
There is at least one night in October where the one-night HAEP costs $59, while the All-Season HAEP cost $59 total. I'd bet it was very limited in how many could be sold. If the only event upgrades we see are the addition of The Conjuring: Beyond Fear and Order of the Dragon, I can see a world where KI's Haunt (and the other Halloween Haunt events) gets review bombed into oblivion. It seems those in charge of these decisions at Six Flags do not understand how pricing tickets and using money for investments works at all. If they do understand it, they aren't very good at showing it.

Kings Island Halloween Haunt 2025 Discussion

Yeah, we would all love to know that number. But given the rumor that season long FL sales are now uncapped (and based on the lines the past few years on busy Saturdays and Haunt Saturdays, one would probably agree they are not capped), one would have expected this money grab to be uncapped as well. Unless they truly do plan to keep the lines minimal and the attraction top notch. I guess we find out in a little over a month! But I am sure the procrastinators that were going to buy this are now ticked!
