  2. The lore of Kings Island Universe is very important as of right now. So i've decided to put the different area and rides that have stories in one Tier List. You decide on which ride or area have leave an impact or a sting to the K.I. Universe. https://tiermaker.com/create/kings-island-roller-coaster-18739565 (Edit: This is my placement of which ride is important or not.)
  3. Yesterday
  4. Which side do you guys like better: Green or Yellow? I prefer yellow, but that's just me. The front is definitely better on both sides
  5. I was noticing the same thing. It seemed like there were way less scare actors out and about especially on Coney Maul. There were just a few clowns and a stilts guy, but no slider guys or any of those other ones. I don't even know if I saw a chainsaw guy in Abandoned. Maybe one. But I definitely noticed there were not a lot of scare actors in the scare zones, and I don't think they went into the houses either...
  6. I’ll be back down in Orlando in a week-two weeks depending on how I schedule things out but ultimately will probably wait to revisit epic till November! I would definitely say the SDR hype is back and people are going crazy to get back on it.
  7. Actually, the lady working Order of the Dragon told us to cut under the ropes because there was no line at the time. But there was a staff member yelling at people at KillMart because they were cutting under the ropes
  8. That's what I thought happened. I figured someone would've posted sooner if it was brand new.
  9. Did anyone else catch that Tower Topics a podcast for Kings Island was being sponsored by Kings Island’s competitor??
  10. Yall realize that sign isn't new right? It was just finally fixed to work like it used to. Sent from my SM-S936U using Tapatalk
  11. I'm hoping to get back to Elitch once I get myself back to a point where I'm comfortable with flying out there! I'm glad you all enjoyed your time!
  12. When did it get a new sign? I've been so caught up with watching Haunt prep/attending the nights that I must've missed this.
  13. Did you experience any issues with people in the Order of the Dragon queue line? When I went through there were groups trying to duck under each rope and getting (rightfully) scolded by the associate at the back of the standby queue line. It would be nice if there were a way to make temporary switchback dividers like they have in the ride queues. Universal uses actual barriers in their HHN house queues, but that also makes it so you have to go through everything no matter how long/short the line is. I believe I heard that Cornered got a new storyline last year and had its layout changed this year. The greenhouse/bad chemicals storyline is nice in that it makes it more than just another corn maze. My theory is that the layout got changed to a) get the exit closer to the entrance, and to b) clear the plaza in front of Invertigo in case any work needs to happen there to fix or demolish the ride.
  14. I saw a comment either yesterday or today proclaiming that "Kings Island is just an overbuilt family park". Now, I may wear rose colored glasses, but that is just not true. It may be a "family park" but it is certainly not overbuilt IMO. It's functionally missing 2 coasters and 4 flat rides (I miss you Invertigo and Monster </3). Now that I've gotten my anger from that out of my system, I can go back to dreaming of a Vortex replacement
  15. Not last Saturday but tonight all of the mazes looked to have decent waits throughout the night. That being said, I think Norfolk Southern had a family day today and might've gotten everyone maze tickets like Toyota did (again I'd love to hear how much the park charged them for those). I did see some kids realizing the chaperone policy was in effect between security and the ID checkpoint. That space seems really small for a place where groups are stopped often — especially on a packed night. You'd think word about the "strict" chaperone policy would've gotten out since Kings Island is "an overbuilt local family park" (I'll comment on the fact someone said that elsewhere). Being serious, though, I still wish we could get a stroller ban (or equivalent) with the chaperone policy during Haunt. They seem to be lesser in quantity this year, but I long for a day when there aren't literal babies being towed around such an overstimulating environment. It was nice to finally watch Nytewalkers again with the new music. I still don't like the show. The music also seemed to have been added as a way to change up the show instead of actually introducing anything new. As an example the video still synced up for the Olivia Rodrigo song they had last year but not for the new music this year. I hope this is the last year a stunt show will be in the International Showplace for Haunt. Ghouls Gone Wild had their last show at/before 8:30 (I think) and had no shows from about 9-12. Wild timing for a show at an event that runs from 6-12. I'd know more if I could've actually read it on the app or if the signs outside the Festhaus were legible in the dark. It looked like Nytewalkers and Dr. Nightmare had 3 shows total (2+1) during that time as well. The hourly fountain show was very good both times I saw it. I was happy to see someone finally decided to have one of those "Bellagio-style shows" that they were designed for. I honestly haven't seen too many scare actors out and about like there have been in previous years, but maybe they've gone into the mazes? If KI/Six Flags really wanted to do more for the event's 25th anniversary than just having limited merch, I think they could have turned International Street Fear into a scare zone called "FearFest" and kept most of the stuff that's been there since 2019. Maybe put some of the graveyard stones along the fronts of the buildings with retired mazes on them instead of peoples names. Despite my numerous grudges and grumbles, I had fun tonight. The fog was thick and choked me less than it did the last couple of weeks. I got about 2.5-3 miles of walking in tonight and did about 1.5 loops of the park. The actual worst part about tonight was probably having to park way out at the edge of the lot despite getting there at 6:45 (bring back the trams). I needed the workout though.
  16. I have now 28 recorded rides on each side of Stardust Racers, it still slaps. Rode front row green as usual and it was still a religious experience.
  17. Night rides on WindSeeker are always my favorite. Honestly I love both CP & KI WindSeekers however at CP I do enjoy being by the water at night it's very calming.
  18. The Monster was always the first ride we rode whenever we went to Coney Mall, followed by the Zephyr. I love night rides on both!
  19. Pulling a play out of the Six Flags playbook https://local12.com/news/entertainment/theme-parks-shut-down-purchased-buyout-amusement-park-beloved-decades-20-years-operating-mini-miniature-golf-family-children-kids-kid-child-dollywood-dolly-parton-entertainment#
  20. Last week
  21. Have fun! I consider it one of the best experiences at Universal.
  22. Stardust is open and is in normal operations! Currently in line, no augmentations or changes made
  23. Foreword: this is basically spoiler-free, so don't worry about me spilling the beans Also, this is coming from a guy who doesn't like to be scared, and has only ever done Killmart and Hotel St Michelle before this trip. Went to the Haunt last night and bought the Haunted Attractions Pass online. When we entered the park at around 6:45, we scanned the QR code given to us and received our wristbands. It was a super easy process, and only took a few seconds. NOTE: You do not have to redeem your online order at the main Fast Lane location, you can do it anywhere that sells Fast Lane. So don't wait in those really long lines when you can go to the height measurement kiosks and have no wait. After that I had dinner at Chicken Shack for the first time and thought it was ok for KI food. Then we did Order of the Dragon first and I liked it. The theming and the whole house was definitely done better than the other ones. I think we took a wrong turn and cut some of the maze off, but I can't be sure. We hardly waited for this one, and moved on to Cornered. Cornered was fine, but definitely one of the weaker mazes. For those who have done it in years past, is the theming a little different? I thought Cornered last year was a hay-maze type thing instead of the greenhouse-type theming this year's Cornered seemed to have. Anyway, we didn't wait much for that one either. Next we did Alien Abyss, which I had mixed feelings about. We basically didn't wait for this one. I really liked the story of the whole thing, especially the pre-show type room before you enter the house. But it was just way too dark for me to enjoy it, because I was constantly lost and trying to continue walking though. The scare actors had to keep telling people where to go. But it was a good maze idea in my opinion. KillMart was the same as always, with a few animatronics. Waited roughly 5-10 minutes. Not much needs to be said, it was the same old KillMart We did Hotel St Michelle next which we ended up waiting roughly 30 minutes for because they were using both lines, but there was no one evenly splitting the lines, so our line took way longer. Good maze overall, probably one of my faves. But basically the same as previous years. The last house was Slaughterhouse. Not necessarily scary, just gory. I also felt like there weren't very many scare actors in this one like maybe 5-7. There were definitely some parts that could have more scare actors in them. Probably my least favorite maze overall, but that's just my opinion. We did Racer (10 minutes) and Diamondback (15 minutes) for rides. And watched the show (twice)! The show was really good and I really wished they advertised it. Overall, very fun night at KI Haunt!
  24. I saw the new WindSeeker sign last night for the first time and it looks really cool! Although it is a bummer that they aren't running it.
  25. Last night when entering the line for Hotel St Michelle: "Huh? Where's Timberwolf? It's supposed to be here. Interesting. I guess we'll do this one first." I swear Kings Island needs to take down that Timberwolf sign because I'm tired of hearing guests think that TImberwolf is a ride! Maybe if they replaced that sign with "Buy your passes today!" they would see many more passes bought!
