I think it's kind of funny that last year's announcement was on 8/8 and now this year's is on 8/28. Maybe next year we'll get an announcement on 9/9 or 9/29

It looks like a pic from a past year because there aren't as many jerseys today as there were in that photo and I don't see the sign on the side that says, "GOAT Prize" if you hit a certain amount of shots. And the thing is actually open, so it's gotta be pre Six Flags

The teaser for River Racers had a date at the end and that ended up being the day it was announced. With all the hype building up around this I don't see why it would simply be another teaser.

I'm really excited as well, honestly this is the most I've been excited since the teasers for Mystic Timbers.

The hype is building as Kings Island posted a reminder that something is coming tomorrow via their Facebook Story. It's not much besides the word "TOMORROW..." in white text against a black screen, but it makes me think tomorrow will be the announcement. There are also four icons (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube) presumably letting us know where we will be seeing the announcement being posted to. I'm excited!

It's honestly just as entertaining to watch, in fact definitely more interesting to watch than trying yourself, speaking from experience...

I can't count how many times I've been to KI and walk by this game and there is always someone who is bragging they are going to make every shot...

Also usually permits do not need to be filed for smaller changes which makes the excitement more for me because it truly is not spoiled until a pov is released or you get to see it in person! I am super excited for the change no matter what of course I want it to be great, but no matter what it will be nice to have something new.

I just want to say that 8 years later, MT is absolutely my favorite coaster in the park. She's obviously fully broken in at this point and she is now about to be in her peak time of year. I love a chilly night ride on this thing. Row 12 or bust for me.

I love speculating new rides, so I thought it would be fun to create this poll. With the next announcement/teaser coming tomorrow for Boo Blasters, I thought I would make a prediction. I think it will be another teaser tomorrow, and then an announcement on a later date. The last teaser said, "To be continued..." which I think means there will be another teaser before the announcement. What do you think? Announcement or teaser? Here's the teaser:

I'd bet the wraps were already attached to the fence walls from the last time they were used. I don't know if the park owns those fences or if they rent them (why they'd still be renting them at this point IDK), but if they're constantly in use there's no need to take the wraps off. There's also the facts that most guests will think it looks better with them on and that people like us will talk about it. I'd say anyone riding Diamondback is also not doing much to look below the track during that helix. Maybe this weekend someone can take a photo of where more fences were next to The Conjuring from The Beast's queue. I'm sure we might see more work behind the AAB fences this weekend as well.

It's really nice to see all of these photos from 2002! I've never been able to find a good quality photo of the auditorium scene, so I enjoyed those in particular. Between the two glass walls and the grainy footage, that scene never translates well to video. One thing I'll make a wish for: If this new ride does turn out to be a new Phantom Theater, I hope they find ways to improve on the aesthetics of the queue room and bring back the charm of how the loading area looked. Returning the skeleton chase and living room scenes back into one large auditorium would also be amazing, but I'll have to see what's in store with whatever we get tomorrow.

Very excited for the announcement tomorrow, however, I do think there is one thing that we need to understand, first of all there’s no way that if we do get a phantom theater ride then it’s going to be as good as the original, I just don’t see anyway how it’s better, but hopefully the younger generation will be able to make memories with the maestro, I don’t mind screens on rides as long as they complement the ride with animatronics, I will say Disney does a good job with their Toy story mania ride at Hollywood Studios, I do think that it would be a good idea to keep the competitive element on the ride, not sure if the younger generation would go for a phantom theater ride unless it has the blaster element and I for one I’m fine with that as long as it gets some TLC, even a moderately decent Phantom Theatre will be better than boo blasters

The market cap is low enough that it could be scooped up by a deep-pocketed buyer. Considering the Paramount Parks were bought for about $2 billion dollars in today's money, ($1.24 billion in 2006 dollars) $5.2 billion is incredibly low. It just goes to show how bad off they are financially.
