  1. Today
  2. Something to note: the Halloween Haunt page on Kings Island's website currently does not contain any body text. The header image (with the hand) and the image gallery are there, there is just zero body text or anything on there to describe the event. It's very likely that there's just a delay in publishing an updated version of this webpage. Who knows, maybe with the new Six Flags app and websites, we'll see the Legacy Cedar Fair websites get a new look as well. If that's the case I'd assume parts of all of the websites might be in some kind of weird flux until they're officially needed. Cedar Point's website apparently briefly showed a description for their new The Conjuring: Beyond Fear attraction, though currently the HalloWeekends page is just a bare bones description of the event.
  3. Delirium is certainly not revolting! Sure it may not be the cutest ride in the park, but that is no reason to call it revolting!! Maybe it's trying to get some attention because it would like a fresh coat of paint As a reminderfor anyone who's still upset: "Sherwin Williams presents The Eiffel Tower", "BankAmericard Service Center", "North American Van Lines Locker and Storage", "Rainbo Backerei" (I think it was a brand of bread), the "Marathon Turnpike", "SupeRX General Store", "Coca-Cola Presents The Salt Water Circus", the "Firestone Airshow", a giant "Gillette Mach 3" ad in the queue for Top Gun, "Paramount's Kings Island" The difference between the ads we see today and the ads from 1972-1999 is both that Cedar Fair chose to not display many in their parks (leading to a mostly ad-free experience), and that the ads of yesteryear were presented in a somewhat more elegant manner.
  4. This seems to only be in effect for Legacy Six Flags parks. I can't find a similar message on Kings Island's Pass Perks website, which leads me to believe that this is part of the Cedar Fair-ification of the new Six Flags. Maybe we'll even be lucky enough to see the new app and websites come to life soon. As bad as the Cedar Fair apps might be, the Six Flags app is absolutely awful. I'll admit that some of the issues could be merger-related and others could be user error. Where it stands half of the park maps don't work properly, the attractions pages show out-of-date information, and there are some very noticeable bugs that make the experience very inconsistent.
  5. To be fair, it was done before the merger and under all other operators—it was always just always a bit more tasteful, clever, or creative. The example here is just a pure, lazy cash grab.

  7. So is it too soon to tell if the advertising opened food and drink stands (it hasn't) or investing in parks (where is our 2026 announcement) or is the extra money going to bonuses....
  8. The sign and advertising does not really upset me. Would I prefer not to have it, sure. If this helps the company to staff the park, open food stands, and continue to invest in the park, that is fine with me. My only ask is to not plaster trains, cars, and gondolas with advertising stickers. Please leave that to theming.
  9. Does anybody know if WWC will open before Labor Day? I haven't rode it this year and want to get on it before the water rides close.
  10. Delirium was happy before the Six Flags days...
  11. Before people get into the silliness, I do want to make a somewhat serious comment: I think the reason why so many people are upset about sponsoring rides because it’s not something that has really been done prior to the merger for CF parks, let along KI. Sure you would have the Hershey company sponsor the trick-or-treat event during Halloween or you have the Coke and Sprite umbrellas scattered throughout the park but when it came to the rides themselves, they weren’t really touched- seeing sponsored rides is pretty much new territory for Cedar Fair. All that said 3 Musketeers>Snickers
  12. I believe it's revolving.
  13. Warning: this is a silly thread for fun making Delirium a sentient ride. Who else noticed that just days after the presented by Snickers sign appeared on Delirium it had an issue? Is Delirium not happy about this advertising? Does Delirium prefer a different candy bar, or just does not like any advertising on their sign? Add your thoughts in the comments.
  14. And the pass sale is bringing out all the new passholders with their shiny new toy LOL
  15. With all the smart people in the marketing room in the building in Charlotte, NC, it shouldn’t be this difficult for current Passholders and new Passholders to understand what the pass they just renewed or bought is valid for. People shouldn’t have to be waiting on hold for 20-plus minutes to try and get an answer from a park. And is that answer correct? It’s the Most Vague Pass (MVP) offer ever!
  16. Oh yes, I was expecting it to be busy.
  17. To be fair it is a Saturday with good weather and for kids summer is winding down as school starts in the next couple weeks.
  18. Park is a little busy today. Edit: Added photo.
  19. So you are using your 25 pass at CedarPoint (according to Debbie). You have not activated your 26 pass at your home park yet. If you now only go to CedarPoint, but have a 2026 KI pass, you will not be able to go to any other park in 26 until you “activate” at KI first. (Maybe this is all theory and it doesn’t really matter in actuality, but that’s the answer they are telling people) Using this example, if you bought NEW at KI, but went to CP first, you wouldn’t get in.
  20. I think that the weather had ALOT to do with the crowd. With the cooler weather the dry park will be more crowded. When the heat index in 100 people either stayed home or were in the water park. This could be easily deduced by the line at either the season pass sales booth or taking forever to get in the park because of people getting their pictures taken at the gates. Too many people are concerned with spending on school supplies and will likely wait till the last minute to buy new/renew their pass. I do have a theory that there may be alot of pass holders that buy every other year. Thinking about it they would only miss Mid April - July (4 months) in a 2 year period. They buy a pass now for the rest of 25 and all of 26, take off mid-April - July in 2027 and buy a pass when they go on sale in 2027 for the rest of 2027 and all of 2028.
  21. I went to KI last Tuesday evening and had a walk-on for every ride except FoF. All the sudden MVP sale comes out and the parks are PACKED. The nice weather has contributed to that a little, but like you said, everyone wants to get use out of their brand new shiny pass. It'll be crowded until school starts back up. Everyone's getting their last trips in before school starts. I'll explain some of the stuff I noticed at CP in my Trip Report
  22. Yes, I renewed my KI season pass without activating it at KI and they asked no questions and I was good to go once I scanned my pass Stay tuned for my CP Trip Report
  23. I renewed my pass and it's the same number as my 2025 pass.
  24. So is FL now not valid during Winterfest like it has been in recent years, or was this copied from the previous single rider line when the park didn't have FL for Winterfest?
  25. Still 50/50 on if this is Crypt building or Blackout spot. There’s a new maze coming alongside this, and The Crypt has a longer queue considering this seems to have limited capacity (likely working on a reservation system). But it’s also unclear if they would want more space to allow for more capacity in the escape room, which the Crypt building would give them.
  26. Last week
  27. Watch out, someone might think guest services has too many employees during the next purge!
