  1. That area has actually been there for awhile. It's right in front of Larosas.
  2. This looks really nice. I wish KI would make more of a "Citywalk" in front of KI.
  3. Let me clarify. I meant closed during the Haunt portion of the evening. So, still open up until haunt starts, but then closing off that area and not having any Haunt related events in PS.
  4. From my understanding, Planet Snoopy will be totally closed off this year during Haunt. It's supposedly so they can get that area ready for Winterfest while Haunt is still going on. Also, I think this year will be a very interesting year for Haunt. With last year being the first year of Haunt followed almost immediately by Winterfest, I think we will see a little more of a different layout with Haunt. For example, I think we won't see the train operate during Haunt in addition to Planet Snoopy being closed off. I think they will use that time to better prepare certain attractions/ares for Winterfest. Thoughts?
  5. If those kids were applying and taking said jobs, then they wouldn't need to hire international workers. The truth is, that staffing has been such an issue in the past 2-3 years that this is needed. Also, KI is getting dorms built. They will be located behind Timberwolf and GWL.
  6. I voted no. I wish Timberwolf would get overhauled and become a better venue like Riversbend or PNC Pavilion.
  7. It would be pretty awesome if they brought back the Antique Cars and had it follow DA's pathway. Nice and secluded, just add some water falls and creeks.
  8. I finally rode MT today. I had been putting it off all summer, since I gained some weight. It was an awesome ride and now regret that I haven't been riding all summer.
  9. The plan is for smokehouse to take up the building that attitudes is currently located in. Coney confections is to remain.
  10. Yeah, I'm sure they're trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff they found from years ago. That's also the warehouse we threw a bunch of the leftover paramount stuff that didn't sell, so we might see some of that older stuff re-appear.
  11. This off season will be extremely short due to winterfest. Since someone already said it in the 2018 thread, I will say it is a version of Island Smokehouse being built in the space. Right now they are working on cleaning out the massive warehouse, which when I worked there was completely filled with all sorts of junk. Not to mention, Night vending has an office/space in there, so there is a lot of relocating they need to do. Right now I'd assume they are using the summer associates to help clean out the space.
  12. A new version of Island Smokehouse is going in the building where Attitudes Delta Delta Die Haunt are located.
  13. I don't think it has been officially announced yet, but I can say it's not for an attraction or a new Haunt. It's probably something they won't really "announce".
  14. The building Sorority House is in, as well at the Attitudes gift shop, is getting completely gutted out for something in 2018.
  15. All stores and stands are supposed to stay open until the area is "29" meaning empty. International Street is the last area to get cleared, so it usually stays open at least until 1030 at the earliest.
  16. I live right on the other side of the Little Miami River, but was at the park when it happened tonight.
  17. Tonight's quick outage was caused from outside the park. It was literally like someone flipped a switch, off then right back on. It is a pain for guests, but I can say however, that it seemed like all employees handled it pretty well. It appeared that all backup systems kicked into place as intended.
  18. If I can fit into Diamondback and I barely get into Banshee should I be good on mystic timbers?
  19. BLSC belonged in Action Zone. That was where they made their mistake. It's not a horrible ride, per say, it just is in an awkward spot and has theming that is falling apart or not even functioning.
  20. Question for people who have ridden in these coaster trains.... How are they for people who might have a little extra meat on their bones? Compared to the trains on Racer/Beast?
  21. You may not post a lot anymore Shaggy, but when you do it was well worth the wait. Thanks for sharing all those amazing memories!
  22. My opinion: TR:TR was the best thing Paramount ever did.
  23. It's supposed to take up the space that the former funnel cake stand took.
  24. They could be saying it will be a different experience as an allusion to how the new coaster will interact with it (assuming part of the new coaster layout will cross over/under the train tracks.) They are throwing out the hints for sure. Lots of people thinking a return of Winterfest. I don't know about that with the unpredictable Winter weather in Ohio. I'm hoping it's the Christmas In July announcement of something big. Winter weather in Ohio has ALWAYS been "unpredictable", even back when they had Winterfest in the 80s. I remember hearing in a documentary that the unpredictable weather was the main reason they got rid of winterfest in the first place. They did bring it back in 2005, but it only lasted one season. I don't know if I can see them doing it again, but the announcement for the 2005 winterfest was in late July so who knows? Here is the teaser trailer: The park has plans for a Christmas in July event. I'm not sure if they're really planning on announcing anything, but I do know there are plans for Santa to be there. Most of the associates know that something is happening for Christmas in July. I'm just not sure if the park is officially announcing it. From what I've heard they're using KI as the test site for Carowinds and Great America's 2017 Winter event.
  25. I visit Disney many times a year and can tell you this..... At every large body of water, whether its Seven Seas Lagoon or the small ponds/lakes at other resorts, there are posted signs along the waterfront. They do not particularly warn about wildlife, but they do say "Absolutely no swimming or wading in water". They are on large wooden posts in the actual water. (I will look through my photos to see if I happened to catch on of these in the background) I have seen them almost every visit. Now I can also tell you that Disney/Florida Wildlife does regularly catch Alligators and release them in a specified zone about 5-10 miles away from the park, but they have to meet certain lengths and widths. I believe if they are under 4 feet they stay put. Not trying to direct blame here at all, but there's not much more Disney could have done...
