"French Fry Coaster" with the cars looking like steak fries and you get squirted with malt vinegar at the end as you splash down into a pool of Red Gold ketchup! And if you get hungry while riding, you can nibble on the safety bar! The ride pictures will be placed in a cardboard frame that looks like a ketchup bottle - the picture placed where the big front label would be. Oh my gosh - all kids of possibilities!4 points

DA is also yet another way to make a field trip to the park "educational", which I'm sure is helpful in marking to schools. Besides that, It's something the entire family can do together, and it offers a break from the hustle and bustle of the more-typical amusement park attractions. The fact that it's expanding to yet more parks after 2 years at KI says a lot about its continued success among its target audience. KI said that this area would receive periodic updates to keep it fresh when they first announced it last year. If you want families to keep paying to visit an exhibit year after year, you have to keep it updated. That's not the place for a high-capacity attraction - DA's admission is designed to keep crowds thin. (Specifically, re-entry isn't allowed.) Expanding the dinosaur theme to a third "attraction" beyond DA and Action Theater could be interesting, though. It would certainly increase interest in DA.3 points

There are other types of James Bond references? Terpy, running for the door.3 points

Expansion doesn't always mean coaster. Please understand this. I swear, Don could come on here with news about expanding Potato Works and half of this site would start justifying reasons why there needs to be a new coaster. If you want rapid coaster expansion go to Geauga Lake. Oh wait...3 points

I'd like to see a week of "Wheel of Fortune" shows filmed there; that'd be neato.3 points

I heard diamonds are forever. I doubt anyone cares after the sky falls, though. Sorry for bad James Bond references.2 points

I love how we started talking about Disaster Transport & Space Spiral being closed, then went to talking about Drivers License Pictures, then kicsehlhorst tottally topic bumps it, and now we are back on track. Haha2 points

Wingriders aren't objectively poor quality coasters. They're standard fare from B&M with unique seating. For some people, that is epic, and for others, it's not. Wild Eagle isn't crazy intense (though the first drop and zero-G are surprisingly pleasant in the last row), but I personally enjoyed it, even though I'm rarely excited by B&M's. I'm not super psyched about Gatekeeper, but I think it'll be worth a ride.2 points

Did someone say coaster? And Volcano? Hmmm. FIgures, someone would say that after a Terpy rotation. Or vice versa.2 points

WAY off-topic, but Mr. Christopher, I enjoy your profile image every time I see it.2 points

Having over 11 years of commercial construction experience as a Union Journeyman Electrician (as my name alludes) and I am quite aware of what is involved with the logistics of clearing an area that has a large amount of trees, and possibly less-than-ideal topographical conditions. I was, and still am, referring to the possibility of placing a coaster in that area. They did it with Beast in 1979, they sure as H**l can do it there in 2012/13/14. Would it be an EASY undertaking? Not really, and with the much more clear area where SOB used to reside, it is not likely. THAT part of your statement I will agree with. Im truly not trying to be a jerk-off here (there are three too many of those on this site as it is), but I have read enough of your previous posts that I feel I am justified in making a statement about the lack of tact in a good number of them. Now, if you are, or were in some way connected with the park or the industry (which I have a feeling you are, due to who I think you may be and simply using a newly created profile/username) then stating such would go a long way in solidifying your credibility, as I did in the beginning of my post. I truly do apologize if I am seeming to come off harsh, and I could possibly be reading too much into the statement due to the inherent lack of ability to read emotion/intent in a written word as opposed to a spoken one, but I simply had to get it off my chest and out in the open. I would also like to reply to CoasterGeeks statement, and say that COULD possibly be avoided by creating a path to access the ride without actually going through the DA attraction.2 points

If we get that Giga that has been rumored, it could be called Gigasaurus!2 points

Malem, I agree 100% with you on how an attraction like DA can give a nice, much needed break from the hustle and bustle. I am actually going to make a point of going through DA at KI, CP, and WoF this year when I am at the parks. It will be my first time through any of them (obviously on WoF since 2013 will be the first year of the attraction there), and I think it will give me a nice break and much needed isolation from time spent in coaster queues.1 point

Not to mention it WILL happen. The only question is when. Nothing is forever.1 point

The seats need replacement in my opinion-they are the originals. And, they need the ability to bear more weight. I would like to see some concerts come back there as long as staffing was adequate. If the seats were replaced, I would also like to see it with a steeper slope so the short people further back would be discouraged from standing on the seats to see.1 point

Did someone say coaster? And Volcano? Hmmm. FIgures, someone would say that after a Terpy rotation. Or vice versa. Don't get too excited, Terpy, they still need to build the second half of the existing one.1 point

Hey, now, an expansion of PotatoWorks would be awesome! I'd love to see what they can do with the concept of the curly fry... or even onion rings (I'm getting ahead of myself here)... You're right, though. I'd be happy with a dino-themed Ferris wheel myself.1 point

I don't see this happening anytime soon.....But, Anybody wanna see a Dinosaur themed coaster back there?1 point

You would have to also bring the admission price to $11.50 per ticket to make the newly installed Dickosaurus happy. Oh.. and "Flame-osaurus Rex" literally had me nearly falling off my sofa laughing!! Sparky, still giggling as I type.1 point

Oh - I forgot - in addition to this one extra dino, there will be a concession stand installed along the path 'cos you gotta eat! I know your just joking about the concession stand, but it got me thinking......... It would be kinda neat if KI built a sit down restaurant back there and themed it along the lines of dinos and/or jungle theme.1 point

Perhaps Cedar Fair's most beloved historic dinosaur will be memorialized in this latest addition. Terp, trying to be good...1 point

To be honest, the one time I went to Winterfest, I was bored as all get out. What's the attraction? For me it was just like walking around an outdoor shopping center, with nothing I wanted to buy.1 point

Well I had an interesting conversation in study hall today...... Girl: "Did you hear King's Island tearing down Vortex?" Me: "No, Why?" Girl: "It's built in a sink hole and the thing you ride in could come off the track." Me: *Starts laughing* and continues on with History homework Girl: "It's not funny, people could die!"1 point
