My bet is on Dinos, as the park has mentioned on their site that Dinos are going to be expanding with a new scene.

That would be fairly odd, especially since the coaster started life as a canine.

I think we need some more Planet Snoopy rides as well and also possibly a "snoopyfied" wild mouse coaster We need those Snoopy "tea cups". I still miss the witch's cauldrons. More rides in Planet Snoopy? Are you crazy?! It's insanely packed in there already and has plenty of rides. There is always room, my friend

Maybe we need a KIC meetup there this season. I would have thought Hoosier Hurricane would need retracked before CE, but maybe they have kept it up better than CE? I rank CE above Raven, so I can not wait to see how it runs this season!

Disney has two very good books out if like to see pictures of the rides.

I wish more parks would release stuff like this. I'd love to know what Cedar Point's other ideas were during the "coaster wars."

You can easily do both in two days. It's a fur piece between the two, though.

I once heard 4 Kentuckians debating on whether or not Cedar Point was in Indiana or Ohio. They came to the conclusion that it was barely on the Ohio side of the border line.

the place is great, its got a very laid~back atmosphere with the feeling of a permanent carnival & a boardwalk. don't be in a hurry though as they don't rush anything.

By far, out of all of the eras that have been around for that coaster, The Beastie era was one of the greatest personally, the tunnel just made me want to ride again, and again until I couldn't anymore, but sadly that era has long been gone from us, and I am personally wanting a return. BB1 who doesn't always like the color blue on coasters. Ironically if you think about it, in a way, The Beast has only one son now.

I do have to say that I love topics like this. it is sad that it didn't work as well this year as it has in the past...but at least opening day is very soon now

...crickets.... This is some way to build enthusiasm for the exciting, awe inspiring, grand re-opening of a stunning park. Total silence. For weeks at a time. This is not the mark of a highly confident team progressing rapidly toward a sure fire thing. Quite frankly, this is all very, very odd. Unless someone expects to go back to the Commonwealth and say the proposed lease cannot be done, here are the reasons why, and we need far more favorable terms or we, the ONLY interested party, are going to have to walk away. And the State, as a Government, is in a rather perilous position. Do they give up more taxpayer money or do they end up looking like the party that could have saved Kentucky Kingdom, but didn't? If they do agree to more favorable terms, and the park still does not succeed, that will also not bode well. A perilous time. I'm glad I'm not advising the Fair Board or the Governor. At least Hart can always blame the banks should he decide to bail. And the quiet...continues.

I don`t watch much TV, and when I do, I do not watch MTV so I did not see that. Yes, I miss the backwards Racer, but don`t look for it to come back anytime soon. I agree with Gary, that maintenance is the unsung heroes of the parks. There work seldom gets noticed, and they put in some long hours. Few people realize that they tear the trains apart and disassemble most of the rides in the winter to inspect them. It always fascinates me to see parks in the midst of their off season maintenance work. At Coney, they have begun re-assembling the rides. They just moved the Rock O Plane cars out to the ride on Thursday, and will likely be putting them on the ride next week. They still haven`t done too much work on the new Como Cruisers though, but there is still some time before the park opens for the season.

I still have yet to make it out to Indiana Beach. (I`ve been kept busy with three jobs and studying for my ARE exams, which I just found out yesterday I passed my first one, the structures exam). It is on my list of things to do. It seems like a nice little park. Glad to see them investing in the park. Its always great to see smaller parks investing in themselves.

Looks like they really want to improve the park. I may have to make a trip this season. Think I'll probably enjoy the water swings the most out of all that haha

I still, I have said this before, would love to see "Jurassic Park River Adventure" at Kings Island. That would take some work though....

I call bull---- I was just at the park, with green spiked hair, and cannot find the rides you are referring to.

Yes, definitely give the impression you will not steal. If you walk in with pantyhose on your head and scream "hands up!", you may not get the job.

Don't forget to let us know how it goes! Questions I've been asked at park interviews (I've worked for 3 of them, including KI) have always included why you want to work at that park. Be honest about this one - I told an interviewer that I wanted to work at KI because I spend so much time there I might as well get paid for it! He said that was the best answer he'd heard all day, and in the end I got the job.

Yes, how times have changed. I can clearly remember the very first my mom came home and told us about this place she heard about in Ohio. She described how it was supposed to have some of the most amazing landscaping anywhere. For weeks we kept begging to go and finally she relented. For our entire 3 1/2 hour journey to the park all of us kids could hardly contain ourselves...we kept asking things like "Do you think they'll have marigolds?"..."Will there be tulips?" "How about roses?" We drove my parents crazy with our excitement! Once we got there my dad noticed that they also had rides at the park...he would constantly try dragging us kids away from the landscaping....but we were having none of that. We were there for the landscaping and we weren't gonna waste our time on the rides!* Thanks for the jab! *Wouldn't this be the most pathetic bunch of kids if that's the way we really were back then.
