YoungStud, can you please stop searching for images of Megan Fox so KI's coaster will trend even higher?15 points

You already anticipate many breakdowns??This is how Intamin needs to change their image. A fan expects massive downtime.15 points

Remember that their last "world-record-breaking attraction" still costs $5.00 a person to walk through......14 points

Vortex lover isn't here to announce "I'm here." That alone could account for a drastic volume loss. It's been a long and bumpy road.12 points

I would be very sad of FD was removed. I don't know why but I love it back there. It's so peaceful.11 points

I will be streaming the event LIVE the night of the announcement on UStream. Tune into the channel "coastergeek" at 9:55 PM EST.10 points

Hopefully we have a nice season next year as far as weather is concerned. If attendance spikes next season our next new coaster will be huge as well.9 points

Off topic: I think my wife is jealous of this site. I should change my name to KIC addict.9 points

I was at my Grandma's the other day and i was searching through some old photos from my 4th birthday back in 2001. Here's a few My favorite picture On the old plane ride My mom and I on Ghoster Coaster I was a natural pilot Swing yabba-dabba-do! I thought it said "O'Terpy"' too.I can only think of that episode of Blackadder where he calls his Scottish cousin with red hair and even more wiry brows to battle a duel for him. Does Terpy have cantankerous lookalike relatives with a red Afro? Sorry to pull this one up from this morning. That definitely says "O'Terpy." The grave on the left says, "O'Suhr" which is a play on my name. This is a total hat-tilt to KIC, so I wanted to make sure you guys saw it for sure. Maybe a way to thank you for helping to Decode the new ride.9 points

Your actually very, very, and may i add again, very late First of all, it's you're, not your (just sayin....) and I may be late, but I don't live on this site like others do, and I sure don't have the time to go through 364 previous pages to make sure I'm not posting something that someone else already did7 points

I officially cannot keep up with this thread. One last post and I'll sit back and watch until the 8th. And then try to keep up with the new ride's dedicated thread. All I can say is this: what you are in the midst of is a time that does not come around every day (much less every year) for what you consider your home park. Up here at Cedar Point, it had been awhile since we had the fun of guessing, hinting, etc. with Gatekeeper's arrival. It's Christmas eve at your park, and it's the "big present" you've been waiting for. So be excellent to each other...and enjoy the moment. What a great time to be a fan of Kings Island.7 points

I've been busy for a few days and mostly lurking, liking posts, and most of all laughing my rear end off. I'm really going to miss this thread once its gone because it has been my entertainment for the last few weeks. In reference to recent developments and to keep this somewhat on topic, I've come to terms with KI getting a refined, nearly end of production BM inverted coaster. If it is anything other than that I will honestly be somewhat disappointed. Montu is incredible and if this ride trumps that experience it will be great for KI, enthusiasts, and the general public.6 points

Anyone think The Bat references could be kind of a historical comparison? The Bat was a failed design whose site that Vortex, a world breaking coaster, grew out of. Now we again have a failed coaster's site that is sprouting a world record coaster. Doubtful that is the intention, but it is interesting nonetheless.6 points

SOB was not burned but I wonder if some of the wood was used for Dusty's endless supply of toothpicks? After last night, he must had swallowed a whole bunch of them!6 points

And Kings Island does not have three of the same coasters. They all might have the same concept of hanging below the track but all three of them give very different ride experiences.6 points

Here we go again with the "Inverted coasters are so 90's" statement again. The reason there aren't anymore inverted coasters being built, is because just about every major amusement park already has one, except Kings Island or Valleyfair. And the last one built was in 2011 named Oziris. Also what's wrong with having 3 inverted coasters? Dorney Park seems to think there is nothing wrong with that. Talon, Possessed, & Stinger come to mind.6 points

There is no such thing as clean money. I understand, however before I put my things in my bra it's in a coin sack so it's not bear against my skin. Money no matter where you put is dirty. Money in my purse could have been from someone doing a line of Coke to being tucked in someone's G- string. LOL!! I wouldn't think twice about accepting your ca$h TeTe27.6 points

I really hope that they put it in the mix with the Haunt graves. I had always joked with them that I wanted my own grave stone... here it is. Seeing my own tomb isn't scary. It's oddly peaceful. I no longer fear death.6 points

(Imaginary) Don: Kings Island is building the world's tallest full-circuit invervted roller coaster. General Public: "Did you hear that? The world's tallest roller coaster is going to be at King's Island"6 points

I have one free ticket left for any SeaWorld Entertainment park (not including Discovery Cove) and plenty of discounted tickets (50% off regular price, including Discovery Cove). If anyone wants them just speak up. I have no need for them anymore, and I can email them to you. Side Note: Not to sound rude, but you have to have a good reputation on this site. I could get in serious trouble if I give these to some one and they turn around and sell them, so I have to be able to trust you.5 points

http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/coasters/new02/cp_wickedtwister/cp_wicked_pr.shtml Ugh....semantics. I'm sorry...really...but I don't see the connection. All I see in the article is a reference to how CP would be the only park in the world with 3 coasters over 200'. I suppose, yes, that was a world record for a park, but maybe I'm missing something in what you guys are saying. I mean, at that time, WT was announced to be the world's tallest and fastest twisting impulse coaster....ie. a world record-breaking attraction. It just seems to me that "world record-breaking attraction" is a reference to a "world record-breaking attraction", and not a clever play on words for the sake of marketing in which they play around with the collective minds of the public, tricking them into thinking the ride itself will be a record breaker, all the while secretly knowing the record would only apply to the entire park as opposed to the attraction itself. Has anyone seen my Disaronno? I think I need it tonight. I could use a good buzz. Here's a more directly relevant example: http://rcdb.com/584.htm?dt=126&d=31 The SOB fact sheet claimed most wooden track at one park as one of SOB's records. Go out in the yard and play. We'll call you inside when supper's ready. First, it's "dinner", and second, I've already had it. Meow! *hiss* hey now!!! I'm the Kat here, shouldn't I be the one meowing and hissing?5 points

Ok been out of the loop for a bit and also this forum has since exploded with posts since the announcement...just a few updates from me 1. As much as people considered him a troll and argue and bicker with him, I will say youngstud is a huge contribution to this forum and shares and contributes to countless discussions here. I'm glad he's here regardless of what others say about him. 2. Those blueprints look very real and very true as to what is on the ground and what we have been saying. If this is fake, it's incredibly put together (there's even a date stamp I'm the bottom right corner and signed off by engineers lol) 3. Any update at csf? Haven't seen anything in relation for some time 4. Ride top gun, you get a few good seconds to look st the construction from that end, lots of good views on what they're doing down there 5. Same goes for skyflier matching post 4 5. Park is really pushing the announcement. I got a few fliers through the day regarding it and even the train is inviting people to come next Thursday 5. Great job decoding the blueprints 6. KIC made the news. Awesome 7. Can't wait for the announcement and seeing everyone at Action Zone 8. Looking at Action Zone...I really hope this is the start to a new area of the park as bandied doesn't fit well next to a multi colored Drop Tower and a pendulum with about the same random color pattern5 points

I would only trust a crowd if it was a room full of Young Studs and I put my fanny pack down. Heaven knows he wouldn't dare pick that up!5 points

^Strongly disagree. X2 and Tatsu are both well above The Beast and Diamondback in my rankings. Though I do agree that in recent years, they've taken the quantity over quality approach.5 points

I think I might have figured it out if this coaster is in fact an inverted. If those blueprints are in fact real then take a look at the dashed lines I've circled. They look to show what supports go to which footings. Notice the dash lines on the vertical loop through the lift hill? Now look at this picture of Patriot's vertical loop: It looks as if our coaster will indeed be a B&M invert.5 points

I figured if we started decoding for the 2019 coaster right now, we would know every detail of the coaster before actual construction starts, my guess is that it will be a intanim giga coaster and will re-use the old Son of Beast station, and use the leftover space behind the 2014 coaster.4 points
