Nick, I have a question for you. If the back seat is the fastest, why doesn't it beat the front seat back? Terp, who likes to ask questions.10 points

Shhhh! I was going to ask why Cedar Fair doesn't run two trains on Invertigo next!8 points

Would that be the same creativity that came up with Flight Deck and Drop Tower? No. No, it wouldn't. The once brilliant and innovative but also restraining, controlling, authoritarian dinosaur is gone and a thousand or more buds can now blossom. The future. It's gonna be fun!5 points

Skyrush is fairly reliable. I went to Hersheypark last summer for two days and it wasnt down at all. The only reason youd miss it would be in the case that the cable broke, but its very unlikely. Oh and if you go to Hershey, buy your tickets at the Giant Stores because they let you in from 7-10 one day for a "preview" and you will also be able to go to Hershey the next day all day. It depends if you want to be at top speed of the train coming out of the hill (front) or going down the hill (back). Personally, on The Bat, I like the feeling in the front of the train. Most other coasters I prefer to be going faster while going down the hill. (Ex: DB)3 points

I am sure ideas would be appreciated (every comment card I've filled out says something generic like that), but the likelihood of them being used would be slim to none. They have already hired professionals they pay big money to take care of the details and changes why chance someone suing them for an idea? I think they can (and do) create a buzz to get opinion of the fans. For example, Flight Deck/Bat change. I can't imagine it being an accident to do an "accidental" release of a fake page. These are professionals after all. I think they wanted to create as much buzz as possible (more buzz about the already massive buzz of the upcoming announcement of the new ride) and they did exactly that. I would think the excitement generated around the possibility of The Bat name being resurrected showed that it would be well received. It had even more people talking about the new ride than it initially did. I do think (possibly incorrectly) had the name not been so we received as a possibility then it likely would not have been changed. Thus, public opinion does count for something and is not dismissed. It has people excited to ride a ride that has been around for years. I think that in itself is excellent marketing. I do think the outpouring of love by public opinion of the idea resurrecting The Bat name helped with the name change - but obviously it was already in the works to some degree. Plus, they have things in the works for several years. I would presume the creativity they have access to can go further than what we can imagine since they are aware of budgets and upcoming ideas and plans already in place. I think if we could be in on the planning and marketing meetings we'd be amazed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

I've tried to explain that to my daughter and she does not get it. She still insists the back is fastest. I blame new math or possibly new physics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

This is going to be awesome! Can't wait to hop on it next year! Back seat's the best + fastest! I hope this makes the ride alot more popular. Last year me and my friend logan rode it 7 times in a row before having to get back in line where we rode it 4 more consecutive times with no one getting in line!2 points

Realistically, I'm hoping to check out Kentucky Kingdom, as well as bring the lady friend to Holiday World for the first time. Cedar Point and Kings Island should have multiple visits. Not so realistically, I would like to go to Indiana Beach and Six Flags Great America for the first time, potentially on a road trip. There may be a trip to Williamsburg in the cards this year as well. (looks at bank account and realizes that college is expensive)2 points

Slow down. If you get caught up moderating us, you miss half the fun! The off-topic conversations usually find their way back to the main conversation anyways, so why not let it run its course and enjoy the diversion? As for your second point, I don't believe Kings Island would take your idea. IIRC, if Kings Island takes someone's idea the person in question could come back looking for money for "their" idea. KI wants to avoid any kind of trouble they can. Don't quote me on that, though.2 points

The thrill of being among the first night riders on the new Banshee roller coaster at Kings Island will have a whole new meaning April 17, when Kings Island hosts “Scream for A Kid Again” to raise money for the Greater Cincinnati chapter of A Kid Again, a non-profit organization which strives to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses and their families by providing healing times of respite through fun-filled group activities and destination events. Kings Island fans and roller coaster enthusiasts alike will enjoy a night filled with riding the world’s longest inverted roller coaster over and over again. Just curious to see how many people that already making park plans for 2014. Aside from my usual August and October visits to Knott's, my goal for 2014 is SeaWorld San Antonio. Takara is due any day so a new cute chubby baby orca is attracting me to the park, lol. (even though the baby, if all goes well, would be a few months old by the time I would even have the time to go). Plan on to take a day out to visit Six Flags while in the area as well, that is if I can pry myself from SW. My mom loved Vegas so much she intends on vacationing there again and yeah.....Mirage? Canyon Blaster? XD Perhaps this time I will actually hit up the Stratosphere. But that is all I got right now. What are your plans? (if any) May 2014 - Adventuredome and Mirage in Vegas June 2014 - SeaWorld San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas August 2014 - Knott's Berry Farm October 2014 - Knott's Berry Farm and SeaWorld San Diego April 2014 through October 2014 - Kings Island1 point

Possible Bucket List for next summer: - Cedar Point - Coney Island (NY) - Coney Island (OH) - Kings Dominion - Kentucky Kingdom - Hersheypark - Six Flags America - Six Flags Great Adventure (El Toro didn't fail me in the summer of '11 and I hope it does not fail me next summer) - Six Flags New England - Stricker's Grove *The fact of me going to Kings Island should be implied Possible Events: - Banshee Media Day @ KI - BeastBuzz @ KI - Coastermania @ CP - And any other events I get invited to via GOCC or ClubTPR QUESTIONS: How reliable is Bizarro @ SFNE? The ride manufacturer doesn't determine what a station looks like. Busch Gardens in both Williamsburg and Tampa work a great deal with B&M, and their roller coasters have stations whose theming ranges from tasteful to extraordinary. Griffon's is a vine-covered arbor with iron lanterns. Alpengeist's is a detailed Swiss chalet (with the trains being a ski-lift, complete with skis on the train). SheiKra's is a treehouse with each row of the train accessed by planks with a 50 foot drop on either side. Banshee's is an old Irish chapel. Diamondback's is a barn. Batman: The Ride's was a junkyard. All of that depends on what the park is willing to pay. Expedition Everest and Invertigo were manufactured by the same people. One simply decided to invest more in themeing around their ride. That's their choice, not Vekoma's. It would seem that Cedar Fair is getting better in regards to "theming" a station but only minimally. And probably, that's all they really need. Diamondback would look out of place in Rivertown if its station was a big metal box, but it doesn't need to be too elaborate considering it leads to a 200' hypercoaster, not an elaborate first-of-its-kind multi-sensory dark ride.1 point

This makes me more than excited to be sitting across from it on a balcony sipping a bit of bourbon while my eyes feast on the new sites of the park Hopefully someone with a D-SLR is coming1 point

They have some computer program for the water. I watched the screen doing the effect once up in the control room area. Pretty neat effects. They had swords, pyramids, ect. all going. Very nifty system1 point

I think that every B&M needs a new station with better themin to suit the ride. But even though that would be cool *sigh* $$$$$ would get in the way.1 point

We are planning trips to CP for coaster mania. As well as a swing east and south to go to Dorney, KD, and Carowinds. Hope to fit in a trip to MA as well, but it's in no way planned yet. And of course as many trips to KI as we can possibly make.1 point

It's hard for those Gods to make anyone pay when their arms are non functioning Plenty of "one-armed bandits" have made people pay over the years. I think a water coaster (as in, roller coaster-water coaster (Mack), not water slide-water coaster (Proslide)) would be perfect in Tower Gardens. It could be called "The Expedition" and utilize the waterfall structure for the lift and drop. It could also possibly go inside the waterfall at some point of the ride. I think you greatly over-estimate the size of the waterfall in Tower Gardens.1 point

I dunno why everyone is so eager to see something go!! I don't care for Delirium, but, I'm not looking for it to go either! Everyone is different and has their own preferences. I think KI has a great assortment of rides, for every guests liking. I promise to fully love my KI and every ride there, whether I ride it or not.1 point
