Once again, Don has asked us to only link to the official release, NOT embed the map in the forums. It's all good! This year's park guide and map is the best one that we've had since I've been with the park. A lot more useful information is called out. As for the former Crypt building, it is not being removed. It's not in use Opening Day through Labor Day so it was taken out. It will return on the Haunt map in the fall.

So for the first time last night, approx 5:35 Banshee was testing during my drive home up 71N. Watching it climb up the hill, then tumble down the first hill is a thing of beauty, its a unique transition, if you will, to KI and fun to watch. You lose sight of it as it passes towards the ground, but catch it again as it climbs up and over the dive loop, another beautiful transition. By this point, I was too far up the highway to safely watch it go thru the vertical loop around the lift hill or anything beyond that. In my opinion, this will easily be the best coaster at KI just to sit and watch it go thru its cycle. Firehawk is fun, but you can only get a good glance from the Tower or on The Racer unless your back in XBase, you should be able to catch good glimpses of Banshee from several spots in the park and a great vantage point from the Tower.

I always seem to ride White Water Canyon at about the time the "US Squirtillery Battalion" shows up at the water cannons; often loaded with more quarters than I take to the freakin' laundromat, and possibly using some kind of laser aiming technology because every...freakin'....time!

Nickelodeon Mega Mess-a-Mania, August 1995 My brother was picked as a contestant on stage (he's wearing the goggles with right hand on head to the left of the ladder). My friends' brother, Kyle, was picked to control the splash tower. Emergency Green Slime Shower Pit. Two people under the A/B showers would push or someone would pull the lever between the showers, one of the two would get "slimed." My brother is in the white shirt with hands on his hips, my friend Kyle on the left, and me getting "slimed." Don't know the other two kids.

Actually if you look at the Banshee cam during the afternoon (best for sunlight in that area), you can see the completed arch already. It appears just to the right of the tallest support in the dive loop. As an aside, you'll notice that the arch wasn't part of the original renderings on the Banshee website. Edit: Here's a snippet from the Banshee cam:

Rides supervisors work several weeks before, cycling the rides. Then other employees come on specific days closer to the opening of the park. People are trained on the ride they will be working. Rides like Banshee will require training during the whole training period.

The Action Zone is going to be amazing this year! It's going to look completely different! I'm not sure if I'm more excited for Banshee itself or the new atmosphere of the area!

CoasterForce has posted a POV of the new ride: My opinion of the new addition: wow! Not only does the roller coaster appear to be a thrilling, enjoyable attraction, but it's very unique and noteworthy for multiple reasons: there's both a launch(es) and a lift hill, the ride travels forwards and backwards, it utilizes remnants from the former Adventure Mountain, and, for a seasonal park, it has some great themeing and effects. But the best part, in my opinion? The 39" height requirement. The only coaster a 39" child can ride at Kings Island is Great Pumpkin Coaster, which is tiny compared to Dollywood's new attraction. And don't get me wrong, Banshee looks great. But our park could really benefit from future additions similar to this one, which can accommodate whole families.

Gabriel was A Kid Again at Kings Island. It was his favorite place on earth. The fundraising that you do to participate or the donations that you make to someone raising funds for the "Scream for A Kid Again" event will enable literally HUNDREDS of local children like Gabriel and his family to enjoy fun-filled events throughout the year. Each time one of the children with life-threatening illness and their families attend an adventure like Kings Island, or perhaps the ZOO, a Reds of Cyclones game, they're giving illness a giant time out! For those that participate in this event, you're going to remember this night for a long, long time and what it meant to Scream for A Kid Again.

^It's unfortunate that the majority of good (and legal) POVs are from that site. I cannot stand his voice and screams in the background, and I honestly can't say I'm a fan of him or supporting his website in general: you'd think that you want to be welcoming and friendly towards members of your website, not a complete jerk.

I've never used Fast Lane at KI but the reactions from people who don't use FL are just hilarious! "Why do they get to cut?!" And then when you try to explain Fast Lane passes they get even more angry. "What gives THEM the right to cut us?!" Money.

I'll probably just use my ZIP code ...EDIT: "And spend the next 37 days at LifeTime trying to get somewhere near this cut!"

You last until pass processing hours are posted to get pumped for the season to levels that annoy your friends and family? I'm usually at that point the first weekend after the park closes for the season.

Correct, the queue used to be music from Independence Day almost positive, but now both tracks are from Lost.
