That can go quite a few ways, too. Disney doesn't own or operate Tokyo Disney Resort. Instead, the Oriental Land Company owns and operates it, investing huge money into the park (evidently, more than The Walt Disney Company would) while also paying Disney huge licensing fees to use its names, logos, identities, characters, and intellectual properties. My first dog, again, a Scottie, had a Batman cape for when he went for his walk during Halloween. He quickly noticed the amount of biscuits from neighbors increased. He loved that Batman cape after that. I'm invited to a Scottie picnic/Halloween party, and due to Netflix, am seriously thinking of a Hawiian shirt for the Scottie I have now, with those eyebrows and that mustache, it would take very little for him to be Magnum, PI.3 points

Using "Because" as an answer has always irked me. Unless the question is, "What is the worst song on Abbey Road?". In that case, it is a perfectly acceptable answer.3 points

Cheap to open and operate compared to other coasters. Honestly if you look at the opening of T2 it is nothing more than getting a 3rd coaster up an running for the sake of having a 3rd coaster. Nothing more, nothing less. I do not know of anyone clamoring for this ride to reopen or still upset from when it shut down. The ride experience on T2 is worse than most SLC's and that is saying something, I don't think new trains will improve it much and given KK's attendance they only need 1 new train and will more than likely only staff a bare minimum ride crew to support the running of 1 train.3 points

Here is a video that I stumbled upon about Fantasy Farm in Middletown, OH. It closed in the early 1990's. I actually have vague memories of going there on a field trip when I was in Kindergarden. Does anyone else remember this place?2 points

Today, Kings Island had its first-ever Dog Days celebration in Soak City. More than 200 dogs were on hand for a special day for pet lovers and man's best friend. Special events included a doggy costume contest, doggy parade, special dog vendors, and even an obstacle course for dogs - with prizes! Dog days is included with park admission and runs Sundays through October. Photos of Dog Days at Kings Island More information about Dog Days2 points

It was a cold morning that I made the 2 hour trip westward/northward to Indianapolis. I have personally never been to the city, and thought for a second that there was a park there, or at least nearby (SFOSL and IB come to mind). But that was not why I was here. No, for it was the Awesome Con that was the reason why I went. A little background to why I went. I like Doctor Who, Tolkien books/movies, Thor(no, not a bandwagon), and so many more "fandom/geeky" things. End background. I was expecting for it to be a tad bit warmer, nope, it was cold. We parked close by about near this outdoor "Fall Fest" was going on, think of our Oktoberfest, and scratch the German and rides, and you have yourself a Fall Fest! We finally made it into the Convention center (Which is a large labyrinth of corridors and rooms. I liked the Wabash rooms though, the name has a certain chime to it.) Navigating left and right we finally met the masses of the Awesome Con. Think of a mass of cosplay and normal clothed people. Finally, we got into the Con itself and it was HUGE, yet it really wasn't, but I'll touch on that later on. We got to sachet through first the comic book stand. Yes, this is the first time I truly became a "comic book nerd". I finally picked out two comics, DragonSlayer and RAGNAROK (Thor/Loki stuff). But the selection at this one stand was superb, Twilight Zones, War of The Worlds, DC, Marvel, you name it, it was probably in one of those boxes. Plus, they were a buck each! After this we went out onto the show floor and looked around at the different booths and the "celebrities" who were there. The Invader Zim cast (Yeah, it's one of those iffy shows, but I liked it for some of the dark yet light humor in it.) of the voice actors for Gir and Zim, Davies from LOTR was supposed to be there, never saw him though, and of course, Adam West. As well to add to that, numerous of different artists (Adventure Time and Bravest Warriors comic artist, and some other people that I cannot name) were strewn about. Now onto the vendors themselves, Etsy to comic book vendors, it was a plethora yet it did not seem large. Some local artists and carvers came out with their items, so did local shirt designers and etc. It was a great taste of what was the geek/fandom side of Indy and the region itself. Many of these prices were not that bad to be honest, so I took advantage of a few and bought a Gandalf shirt, a Dalek poster, and an "I WANT TO BELIEVE" poster from The X-Files, one of my personal classic Sci-Fi shows. Then when it came to the variety of the items though, they did not have much from the LOTR and Tolkien themes. For example, I could find troves and troves of SuperNatural, Walking Dead, Doctor Who (No problem with that) but what a few bits and pieces of LOTR/Tolkien? Maybe it was also the fact that many did not find interest nor was there as many vendors as what I was expecting or saw. But that wasn't such a bad thing as it made it more ambient and more open for people to browse and see what is around. Now onto the other part, the groups and what people were wearing. One of the major groups that was there was the 501st Legion. The 501st Legion is basically a group of Star Wars fans who dress up like Storm Troopers/etc from the film, and participate in things like this. As well, they make some amazing costumes and act very authentic. Adding onto that, out of all of the places I have ever been, this was by far the best place for some of the best costumes. I especially liked how in-depth alot of them went into. I E, Gandalf suit was superb, many Doctor Who fans (Such as myself) dressed similarly to the 11th or 4th, a reoccurring theme. The presentations were cool too, they were mainly by special guests, but they were interesting and were for the most part informative. Overall, I loved the trip out to Indy, it is a cool city with some old history too. If you are looking for a new con in 2015, go to Awesome Con, even though it costs a shiny penny, it makes for an amazing trip!2 points

Double the pictures. Double the fun. And double the chills and thrills that go along with one of my favorite time to visit Cedar Point: HalloWeekends! Sunday, September 21st: It was extremely windy and as soon as my mom and I arrived, we knew that a lot of rides probably wouldn't be operating. Upon entering the park, we were even told that Raptor and Gatekeeper would be down until further notice. Raptor never did open as far as I know. Anyway, we went straight to Maverick for the last part of Early Entry and rode it 3 times, first in the front, then in the back, then in the front again. We had a great ride op named David, and we saw PegKeeper Peggy. She was trying to reach 2,000 rides on GK for the season and at the time she said she was around 1,775. Pretty impressive! But since GK was down, she would have to wait to get some more rides on it. Next was Skyhawk with a 1 cycle wait. We decided to go on Millennium and rode it twice with 15 minute waits, first in the front and then in the back. We wanted to make sure to see Midnight Syndicate due to all the great things we had heard about it, and decided to aim for the 2 pm show. We still had a little time to kill, so we headed back to Magnum and had an awesome ride in the 2nd to back row. Finally it was time for Midnight Syndicate. I had see pictures of the set and show, but it was incredible seeing it in person. The level of detail was incredible. Live entertainment has really been impressing me lately, and I'm glad to see the park going in this new direction. A great amusement park needs more than just thrilling rides, and the Point is definitely starting to improve on this. I won't give away any spoilers, but the show was amazing and wasn't what I expected. I also loved the surprise at the end, including what happened even after leaving the theater. We grabbed some lunch at Panda Express and saw some of the Eternity Infirmary Screamsters heading back to get ready to scare. Between seeing Midnight Syndicate and now seeing the Screamsters, the Halloween excitement was finally becoming real. I was pumped up for the first haunt, and decided to go straight to the new Hexed haunted house. I'll write my haunt reviews later, but I'll say that I was really impressed. Then we spent the next part of the day going through all the haunts. We went from hexed to Zombie High, Eerie Estate, Eden Musee, and then Eternity Infirmary. None of them had waits. We also got to see the 2nd half of Skeleton Crew, which was as great as I remembered from last year. The crowd was really into it too. Our next stop was Blue Streak and we rode in the 2nd to back row. We had a fun, smooth ride. I wanted to go through Zombie High and Hexed again while we were in the front of the park, and we noticed GK was running so we got in line. It was frustrating that only 1 train was running since what would have been a 5 minute wait turned into a 20 minute wait, but oh well. We rode in the left front and had a bumpy but fun ride. By this time it was around 7:30 and we decided to finish off the night on Millennium. In total we were able to ride it 7 times in a row, and the ride ops let us go through the gate to walk right back into the station instead of getting off and going all the way around due to the lack of people. During the first ride, I looked out over the horizon and over the lake while going up the first hill, and saw a massive wall of rain coming our way. I had never been on Millennium during the rain before, but I've been on other rides during it and it is a painful experience. It turned out that it started to rain just as we were going down the first drop. The remainder of the ride was very painful but I kept my arms up the whole time, enjoying every second. It was so crazy but I loved it. The next ride it absolutely down poured. I have never had such a painful coaster ride in my life, but it was the most unique coaster ride I've ever had. Believe it or not, it was one of my best Cedar Point memories of this season. Then on the 3rd ride it was just lightly sprinkling and the following 4 rides were dry. It was running really well and we ended up getting on the last train of the night. While leaving the park, I noticed a jack-o-lantern display on Giant Wheel, which I thought was a nice touch. The day overall was a lot of fun. In total: 16 rides, 7 haunts, and 2 shows. Hexed: 9.5/10 I loved the theming. Very elaborate and interesting. It definitely exceeded my expectations and the Screamsters did an amazing job, especially considering how early in the season it still was. They had already mastered the art of distraction. One would get your attention while another (or 2) would come up behind you or from another place to jump out and startle you. This was very impressive, and they were all in their characters really well. I won't give them away, but there were some pretty cool effects too. My only complaint is that the barker/entrance host was dressed as a normal park employee, and wasn't in costume like they are with any other haunt. I'm not sure why that is, but I don't like it. She was really nice, but usually the barkers set up the entire mood for the haunt. Besides this, I was thoroughly impressed. Zombie High: 10/10 Wow. My favorite haunt from last year dominated yet again on this trip. The barker was amusing, and the theming inside the haunt was just as amusing and creative as I remembered. Plus it was loaded with Screamsters, and they all did a great job. I liked how there a nice mix of "jump-out-at-you" startles, loud noise/banging startles, and Screamsters who talked to you. It was a perfect balance and blend of scares and entertainment. Eerie Estate: 8/10 I have always loved the theme of this one. I'm a sucker for classic, Victorian Mansion-esque haunted houses. By far this one is the most elaborately themed and detailed at the park, which I really appreciate and enjoy. The Screamsters in this one did a good job and made me jump a few times, but I wasn't blown away like I was with Hexed and ZH. It could have been better, but it was still fun. However, something unusual was that there were a decent amount of park employees just standing around inside. It sort of detracted form the experience. I wonder if there was some incident that happened whether with Screamsters or guests, so there was an increased amount of secutiry/general park staff. Eden Musee: 3/10 A boring walk through the sauna. I don't know why, but this haunt is always really hot. Also, there was not a single Screamster for a least 2 minutes when we went through. Then there were many areas that we would walk through without a single scare and still not seeing any Screamsters. Very disappointing. We left with minimal scares and without a good impression. I remembered from last year that for some reason this haunt is very inconsistent, even later in the season. Good potential, but it just wasn't there when we went. Eternity Infirmary: 9/10 I always love the barkers for this one. They do an amazing job at setting the mood for the entire haunt. You could tell they were having lots of fun being in their characters and it was amusing to see. Since this haunt has very minimal theming, there is even more pressure on the Screamsters to really portray the theme. They all did a great job, and I was startled many times. I still love the walkway that makes you feel like you are tilting. If only the entire house could have cool effects and theming like that, then it would be amazing. But the scares were good and I enjoyed it. Overall Favorite Haunted House from 2013: Zombie High Overall Favorite Haunted House from 2014: Zombie High Best Screamsters: Hexed2 points

We had to put our family dog down last year, so some of this is a bummer for me. Then again, my dog would NOT have put up with wearing a costume, walking in a parade, doing the obstacle course, or accepting treats from strangers. She also used to get car sick extremely easy... So I guess she wouldn't have been doing Dog Days anyway.2 points

I see no idiots and no harm being done. The juice used in fog machines these days in non toxic. I just see two park goers enjoying themselves and having harmless fun which impacted you in no single way. Even if they had been doing something bad, if it doesn't impact you then who cares? Why bother video taping it and posting it?2 points

Lots of things will come up if you look around on the forums a little or use the search feature. We have a thread for the least scary houses and ways to avoid being scared, a thread for a great ticket combo to explore, a thread for wait times, a thread about the scariest houses, and many, many, many more sources to draw from. In general: waits will be long on Fridays and Saturdays; waits are much longer on Saturdays than on Fridays; Fast Lane Presented By McCluskey Chevrolet is good; Fright Lane With Skeleton Key is not a bad idea; people get crazy.2 points

Glad they are showing the place some much deserved love. Over the years mother nature has taken it's toll and given some type of preservation 10 years ago, or even 5, would have been vastly better then what remains today. Though it's still a step in the right direction. Finally....2 points

Move it to Kings Island, that would be hilarious! I am personally hoping that Vekoma or someone retracks T3, that thing from some of the POVs I have seen was far too rough. Another thing is how odd of a drop that it is. No wonder it gets a max of 55! Should be an interesting credit nevertheless, hopefully not too painful.2 points

I went to KI the last Sunday of the season last year. It was cold and drizzling the entire time. It was a short wait, if any, for most rides. I had a blast getting in some last rides. I can't put words to why but riding The Beast when it is chilly and slightly drizzling is exhilarating.2 points

A few friends and I visited Kings Island for Haunt this past Friday. The lines were not that bad for most of the haunts, but we decided to purchase Fright Lane to ensure we could get through all the haunts with some time to spare for night rides. We all had a great night together, but 1 minor issue (and the way the park handled it) definitely ruined the strongly positive vibe we had all night. When you purchase Fright Lane, you get a very nice collectible skeleton key on a lanyard with a punch card for all 11 haunted houses and 1 extra trip through a house of your choice. The problem is that the Fright Lane punch card can break off fairly easily from the lanyard after hours of fatigue on rides, etc. We fortunately made it through 10 out of 11 of the houses together, but my friend's punch card broke off on Adventure Express. The last Fright Lane house we had to do together was Urgent Scare, so we went there and told the Fright Lane entrance host what had happened. The 3 of us that still had our cards showed that we all had the exact same ones punched together, and this was our last one. My friend that lost his card on Adventure Express showed the entrance host his metal skeleton key, his dated receipt from the Fright Lane purchase, and his matching credit card used to purchase it. The entrance host said he couldn't allow him to enter, but he'd call his supervisor to discuss. They talked for a couple minutes over the phone, and then the supervisor said he was on his way. They had a 5-minute meeting to discuss what to do, and then they called a second supervisor over. After waiting a total of about 15 minutes, the 3 came over to us and said, "Sorry, but you must have your punch card to enter; there's nothing we can do here." The original entrance host apologized and said that they have had other reports of the same exact issue. Of course our extremely positive night suddenly turned to discussion of how poorly that situation was handled. If there is a known issue that's occurring and an honest group of adults that are clearly together with proof of purchase, it's silly to make such a big deal over a $3-4 value, especially when it's costing the park next to nothing. Again, the damage this did to our night and to future business at KI will far exceed the cost of making this situation right. I really feel that Kings Island needs to train / empower their employees to better handle these situations. At this point, it was near the end of the night, and we decided to leave. On the way out, it was discovered that another friend's punch card was nearly broken through and hanging on by a thread. So, please be aware if you're buying Fright Lane, those punch cards can break off unexpectedly even if you're being careful. I'd recommend the park reinforce the lanyard attachment hole and change to a closed loop attachment instead of that clamp, which can open if bumped.2 points
