  1. Heck even if you were angry, you'd be within your right since again...you PAID for said upgrade to be able to receive said item. We as humans deal with enough of this garbage from so many other companies/services, you'd think something like this would be an absolute non-issue. Its like some insurance BS "well you paid for this but we're not gonna provide this service to you because we don't feel like covering for the service you paid for". It might be funny to laugh as people getting upset over something so small-but re-read that. It is a small thing and that's exactly why it shouldn't be a cumbersome experience to obtain. Having to go around to 6 different places to be told anything but "yep!" is simply bonkers. Sorry, but not sorry. If I paid for something with my hard earned dollars, I expect to receive said item. No matter how small. Period.

  2. So it appears The Royal Fountain is done for 2024. I paid for my Gold Pass with All Park Passport. At Kings Island, The Royal Fountain is part of the experience. I have been robbed and therefore cheated. I did call Guest Services and there was no answer. Kings Island did not communicate this to me when I bought my pass .

  3. The amount of time they turn it off is not relevant. The fact that I paid good money for my pass and I can't get what I want, and they don't have anywhere in the terms and conditions that they can just turn it off willy nilly is unethical. For WinterFest it's a repurposed fountain so that's ok. But for them to drain it for THEIR convenience when I have a pass is just wrong. Plus it looks tacky.

  4. I am bitter. Bitter like the taste of the carbonated water that comes out of the refill station in Rivertown when they run out of ice and syrup. They have my money already. It's not right that they can just turn off the Royal Fountain before the season is over. It's tacky and unethical. Six Flags is an unethical company.

  5. Orion's drop feels more powerful. The whole ride feels more powerful imo. Completely agree, I think if they made the helix tighter it would be better than Orion

  8. Different strokes for different folks. I agree with the notion that it does look a bit tacky.

  9. Well I am happy for you, but what about those who paid for their pass and did not get to see it? I demand that they turn it back on for the upcoming weekend. They can't blame staffing and nowhere does it say that The Royal Fountain is subject to availability.

  10. I'm not even mad, honestly, I'm disappointed in just how childish/backwards this whole situation is.

  11. It's not related to the hot chocolate, but I did encounter an issue last week when I used a single meal plan and was told I couldn't get a drink because it's not on my plan (which if you go on Kings Island's website or on the app, it says clearly that it does in-fact come with a drink). Again, it was just a drink so it's not the biggest issue in the world and I also acknowledge that it was likely the employee was just mistaken. To reference what @DJSkyFoxx said, I really do not like the precedent that the park can tell you no for something you paid for, especially at a park like Kings Island where you'd expect the service to be exceptionally great given the park's reputation.

  12. I know you’re being facetious, but to give them kudos, the fountain seems to be drained later every year. Had they not added the weekend, they would have done all of Haunt with it, which is impressive based on previous years.

  13. Especially at 0:07, you can hear some signature AI audio generation struggles. Most people unfamiliar with these tools probably won't even notice it's an entirely AI song, but the vocals seem very similar to what you can create on places like Udio or Suno. In about 1-2 minutes on both of those sites, my friends and I were able to generate a couple of songs about the Tricks and Treats festival. All we had to do was enter the prompt: "Fun spooky song about Kings Island's Tricks and Treats festival". These websites will auto generate lyrics as well; and while I can't say for sure that was the case here, I'm suspicious. It's one thing for an individual or a group of friends to mess around with these, but it's concerning when a park with a large entertainment dept can't be bothered to write their own song for their event and instead rely on a free website. Why even bother having a creative team on payroll to theme a new attraction when an intern can create the storyline, logo, and soundtrack for a ride in 5 minutes.

  14. The first drop height of Orion (300ft) is the same height as Millennium Force's first drop (300ft), so yes. Orion is as much of a giga as Millennium Force is. You'd think we'd get over this after five years.

  15. I recommend going over to the SOB station to check out the activation spot. My wife and I did that last night and thought that was the best spot to use your lantern. We personally think this could be hinting at something. To set something like that up strictly for Haunt makes zero sense to me. I don't think anyone should overlook this.

  19. Almost same experience at Cedar Point Oct 11&12 of this year. Lots of big major rides "not operating" or "broken down" at all times of the day which put INSANE stress on the lines of the 4 or so big rides that WERE running. Were talking 90min-2.5hr waits... Crazy... Got stuck in line (at the bottom of the stairs) for a breakdown at Maverick. Toughed it out for 30-40min, finally got on and my train got stuck in the launch tunnel!! Then the ride was closed the rest of the day. If all the major coasters would have been operating, I bet the longest lines would have been 45min to an hour. But either the lack of employees to run them(?), not wanting to spend the $$ running them(?), or them just being broken, made our 2 days there VERY disappointing. I think we only rode about 7-8 rides (many of them flat rides) in the full 2 days we were there!

  21. Good luck trying to get hot chocolate tonight, several machines have went down tonight, I tried 3 times and all 3 times no hot chocolate. It’s a travesty on so many levels that all of International street has no hot chocolate period.
