  1. I'm so glad to see the fireworks returning this year—they're such an important part of the park experience. I was a bit worried they might limit them to just Friday and Saturday nights, so it's great to see them sticking with the usual schedule of every 10pm close, even with the budget constraints. I am hoping that we see a different show in the showplace theater next year.

  3. That's kind of shocking to think we were close to losing the fireworks show, since it's been around forever. To save it if they had to, I'd even be okay with there being no drones during the show, if it means keeping the fireworks going.

  4. You have no idea how critically close we were to losing the nightly fireworks... For that reason alone, I'm okay with it.

  5. To be fair, River City and Hifi Honey are meant to be early season entertainment and a placeholder for the summer shows. I will stand by my word and die on the hill, that the park needs to branch out and look for more local bands and not juzt settle with the same 2 bands every year. You can still have them play once or twice, but branch out and look for more like Cedar Point's Bands in Residence Program. There's lots of bands in the local area that would love an opportunity like this. If they can bring the school bands in, I'm sure they can bring more local bands that play at festivals, clubs, etc outside the park.

  7. Although we didn’t get a new coaster this year it is reassuring to see how much was invested in the park infrastructure during the offseason. It always makes the future of the park look a lot better when things are renovated and will be preserved for years to come.

  8. Looks like the royal fountain got a fresh coat of paint, or I’m just not used to seeing it this clean! Video is posted on tik tok of them filling it up.

  9. Yeah I've been hearing countless rumors that they wanted to reduce the show to weekends only, or even entirely outside of the 4th of July show. But I'd be very curious if anyone has more info on this they're able to share. Don't know if it was Koontz and upper management fighting corporate to keep the entertainment funding for it, or if it was someone within the parks upper management with the idea from the start. I'd be willing to bet it might have been the park advocating to keep the show with corporate wanting cuts... Correct me if I'm wrong, are we the only park in the Six Flags chain to do nightly fireworks outside of holidays and park anniversaries?

  10. Do you have anything to share about losing the fireworks or is it insider information that can not be released. I am super grateful for the fireworks and the park would not be the same without them and I am glad that Mike sees the value in having them! If Mike sees this I want to say my family and I are super grateful the fireworks are still happening!

  11. Tbh while I would love a coaster to eventually go in The Vortex plot. My hunch says they don't plan on filling that plot while the drones are popular as the empty space in the center of the park is a perfect area to launch them without disturbing much. Obviously you don't want them flying over guest pathways. The more I think about it, the more I think the 2026 family thrill attraction is going in the Skyflyer area. Think about it, Carowinds still has theirs open and KD has theirs SBNO. If the park didn't have immediate plans for the site, why remove it now? Same with Cedar Point, I feel like 2026 (despite not being on the press release) is the replacement of Snake River Falls and the skycoaster.

  12. The only time I've ever had an issue with needing a drink in the area is when they've had the stand closed. When it's open, the line has never been long enough for me to not stop....plus the refreshment stand across from Zephyr isn't that far away.

  13. I vaguely remember them offering these...they weren't the main "dish." They had the afterburner fries or whatever.

  14. Surprised they didn't wait until 2026 and call this the new Family Attraction

  15. Anyone else find the mess of old/new concrete in and around Planet/Camp Snoopy an eyesore? While I think replacing old concrete is a good thing, I wish the park spend a little more money last year and replaced all the concrete in Camp Snoopy with the brownish stamped concrete that they put around Soapbox Racers.

  16. Havent been the biggest fan of the entrance in years. Maybe some of the recent ideas here would be better.. but ultimately we simply need something that isnt the "temporary" gates. Looks messy and I have to cross traffic awkwardly before the security point and also after anyways. The entrance is centralized. It could work better to have multiple entrances and multiple exits. Worse for staffing/ security but better guest experience.. but as a guest.. i like a good guest experience.. and I think first impressions are important. I would vote entrances on the both sides of the admissions gate & exit from the center.. or if you must have only one flow.. keep it the way it is, but make the exit on the south side (guest relations side). We currently exit on the north side and cross into people that just got in. -- Excited for the season regardless but I tuned in after a hiatus and people are talking about my biggest passion in life.. crowdflow
