  1. I’ll even go a step further to say the park should be making statements in blog posts or directly to their Facebook with changes, not a Facebook group or better yet not even making a post about their height requirements changing and policies shifting which I’ll admit I didn’t even know till I listened to Tower Topics on the way to work yesterday. I 1000% believe he is doing a great job with the FB group, no harm or foul directed to him but for those who aren’t in the group like how I was for years before joining last year, they wouldn’t have a direct answer and hear a rumor. I’ll be the first one to say it was because of his post that I called my aunt who lives in Portland about her favorite ride being shut down, then had to recant after hearing the reality of it all. The point I’m making here is that it does not take more than 5-10 minutes to make a simple blog about changes to park operations and if PR doesn’t have time to do that then KI management needs to review what they are actually doing because that’s the whole point of the job: communicate news about the park and get guests to be enthused about the park so they have a new reason or a reflection to revisit the park.

  2. On the topic of Monster, we all remember in Shake Rattle & Roll's case, that ride was completely removed in 2014 and returned in 2015 completely refurbished. Monster has not loaded all six tentacles in years due to weight distribution issues. It's also worth noting too that it still is unchanged from when it debuted at Coney Island in 1968 and is the last of the Coney flats that has not received a facelift with new paint and LED lighting. Shake Rattle & Roll (2015), Scrambler (2016), Dodgem (2017), and even The Racer for Winterfest in 2018 got multicolored LED uplights; Zephyr received some red and white LED bulbs and a new canvas tarp on top. Now a new player has entered into the Cedar Fair/ New Six Flags ring; Premier Rides. They're about to open AlpenFury at Canada's Wonderland in 2025 and will be legacy Cedar Fair's first collaboration with them. Why is this important? Premier Rides not only manufactures solid rides of their own, but they have proven to be top notch in ride restorations. For the 2024 season, Premier was contracted to fabricate new Arrow track for Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. For Kennywood's 2022 season, Premier refurbished and restored the Kangaroo, a last of its kind Norman Bartlett Flying Coaster flat ride. Is it possible that Premier Rides may be contracted to breathe new life into Monster, extending the life of this Old Coney classic? Time will tell. With that said though, with recent trends at new Six Flags, complete removal is not off the table and would not be surprising either.

  3. The email was faked. The problem is that the KI Team often has Jim post on their behalf in the Facebook groups rather than communicating with the guests directly. Jim was duped by the email like many others and made a post about it. When he did that, everyone thought he had gotten the information directly from the park. The person who faked the email was in the wrong, but I also think this is a glaring example of how this "system" doesn't work.

  4. I'm saying he is not affiliated with running any reputable group. But yes...he has been removed.

  5. Why not? When you have a captive audience, why not utilize them? With people constantly seeking knowledge of happenings/things going on in the park(s) it only makes sense to get the information out where the people are. However, the park(s) are not using Facebook groups to promote changes....they do not communicate at all. Logan was completely in the wrong and he is not affiliated with any groups. Misinformation comes from a lack of communication.

  8. Personally, I don't think the park should be using Facebook groups at all for promoting changes. As we've clearly seen with the stunt that was pulled with the fake email, Facebook can be a hot pot for misinformation.

  9. Something I heard was that they might put up new billboards to commemorate the ride's 20th anniversary, but I cannot confirm that.

  10. Another reason why I will remain an UOAP! Very happy with this and it reiterated the fact that I will not need express for my trip in May. I will be taking a day (literal flight down and back) to go to Epic for a preview day during the week in the next two weeks, to say I’m excited is an understatement! On another note, any thoughts on what we may see for the Summer Tribute Store? I have a few theories myself but would love to hear what everyone else thinks!

  11. They were purposely removed from the ride at the command of the communication team to purposely fit the image that Six Flags does not communicate well, even if it is faded and irrelevant theming from a twenty year old junkyard coaster. As such, they will not return. Of course, these orders were placed from the team while "working" from home because they are not park people. ***This post is made in jest, I have no idea what is going on with the billboards. I saw where the billboards were replaced at Kings Dominion, which may indicate their junkyard coaster will not stay in JungleX.***

  12. The date states that it was taken on March 8th. Although Skyflyer is still present in the image, you can see the base of it was already demolished. This image has to be from the 2021 season. It was the only year where Slingshot and Orion were present alongside Carnivale, as that event wasn't held during 2020 or 2022.

  14. The person who posted that "email" fabricated the whole thing. That poster is a known liar and a disgruntled former employee. Anything that comes from that poster should be discredited.

  15. Said poster is known to be a story teller and attention seeking, so many have learned to basically not believe anything he posts until it can be confirmed from a different source.

  16. Charlie Brown Fairgrounds dark ride shooter new in 2026! The park has to know at this point people want phantom theater back and that if they did it correctly it would be a big hit. However, they have to be willing to shell out the money for an animatronic based dark ride because while I'm sure screens are cheaper, they would not be the same nor satisfy the fans of the old attraction. I think it's great that KI has brought back some classics like the antique cars and flying scooter but the phantom theater would be the biggest return of a former attraction we've seen yet
