  1. I wish Chef Major well on the next step in his career. Some of his food specials over the course of the past few years have been amazing. Hopefully we continue to see new items and the KI food quality remains consistent.

  2. Who cares if AI slop is taking over? The goal should be to reverse that trend and use less of it. Its damaging to the environment and to artists alike. The only good of AI is it allows creators to avoid paying actual artists and performers. Its slop and should be shunned, as opposed to just giving in and accepting.

  3. Not saying what im about to say cause Don and Ryan are good friends of mine. BUT look around man. AI is "taking over". If you use it the right way its not trash. The whole point of them using AI is using it as a tool to help improve something. You also gotta get with the times. When it comes down to it what are you here for. The AI enhancements or the news that they STILL provide us about Ki and other parks. IMO nothing has changed. Things get better over time. I applaud them for using AI, as its everywhere now. hope you keep on keepin on and @DonHelbig and @BoddaH1994 keep up the great work!

  4. The scavenger hunt makes no sense. The short film was made as a way to drive people to attend Halloween at a Six Flags park. However, if you are doing the scavenger hunt tied in with the film...you already are at the park. So, what is the point?

  5. Okay I can step in here and give some clarification. The associate at bottom plunge is to pulse the amount of people on the stairwell, but also to make sure you don’t have metal that cannot be worn on the drop box slides. As I’m sure you would be very upset (as many were when I was a lifeguard) that you waited 20 min to be told no due to metal. As for security, I know they patrol around that area as it’s pretty vacant/scarce and they don’t want any unsavory individuals doing unsavory things. Of course the one section of the park that has the least lifeguard foot traffic will have more security. Never mind the fact that being down there by yourself later in the evening was always difficult to tell someone not to run as that section stays slick and can lead to some serious injuries if you’re not safe.

  7. Agreed. Unfortunately there are some areas where AI cannot be entirely avoided, but if one can avoid it, please do. Any and everything counts. AI data centers are absolutely awful for the environment as stated above and horrible for local communities who happen to be near a data center. And yes, the art theft is a real tragedy too. I really have nothing good to say about AI.

  8. That would be nice to see. SFOG has meet and greets with the characters from Monster Mansion, so it's definitely possible.

  9. The AI intros and thumbnails feel disgenuine and a cheap slap in the face to its most loyal fans. We came to watch Don, stayed for Ryan, and this is where the show is heading? Genuinely makes me mad to see them cheap out with this garbage. They had a good thing going and threw it all away. Sucking the soul right out of it. If they keep this up I will not be watching.

  10. I think it's unlikely that we'd see any walk-around characters in a spot near Peanuts characters or IP, mainly due to the seemingly stringent licensing agreement about what can be shown in the same areas as Peanuts IP. It's been said that Boo Blasters was always part of International Street because of this issue. They should definitely see about getting some characters out near the fountains or somewhere like that. Maybe they could go where the Takis trick or treat location is between Graeter's and Sweet Spot on the side of the Royal Fountain. A small set display could also go out there and get dressed up to look like the lobby or something similar. That way you'd be taking photos with characters in a setting instead of being with characters who are seemingly out of place.

  11. That or at least give them a partial refund for the 5 hours that were cut. I was there earlier today when they made the announcement, and I saw several guests complaining about not being able to get a refund. It would be really nice if the park had a "Worry-Free Weather Guarantee" like a certain other park has, but corporate certainly wouldn't approve of that.

  12. I decided to add in the other parks that received surveys. SFDK is a repeat, but only because I decided to add in the other options. (Content has been removed since the original poster added in the data at the first post) Parks that don’t have surveys: Frontier City*, Knott’s Berry Farm, La Ronde, Michigan’s Adventure, SF Darien Lake*, SF Great Escape, SF Mexico, SF St. Louis, Valleyfair, Worlds of Fun *Owned by EPR Properties (I excluded the two doomed parks, along with the yet to open SF Qiddiya) I haven’t been to any of those parks, and I don’t feel like looking into them and picking my favorites of the choices at this time. That said, I wonder if all of the ones without surveys are going to be closed and/or sold off. Knott’s, SF Mexico, and SF St. Louis are the larger of the omitted parks, and you would think at least Knotts would be safe.

  13. Interesting that this time only "unused" tickets can be used another day. I guess, too bad if you wanted to make the most of a day with bad weather not expecting them to close 5 hours early.

  14. FYI: They're closing the park early today at 6pm.

  15. It was a nostalgic trip if they brought back the original costume that Kings Island had for the 1992 season (then dissappeard) occasionally I've seen the mask during Halloween Haunt. I would love to ride Monster Mansion, very good use of animatronics for a dark ride from the POV videos I have seen.

  17. Bryan’s random PT thought of the day: What do we think the chances are of any of the characters appearing as meet and greets next season? I’d say it’s unlikely we get anything like a full show like Encore, but I could envision like Maestro and the Larry puppet meeting in the circle where Snoopy’s doghouse (or inside the Peanuts showcase, which if I didn't think they’d want the peanuts characters meeting in there, that would be a prime location for an extended queue with the same artifacts from the Encore lobby). But also for the meet and greet idea, I could also see a scenario where they bring them out if they hold a media day to do interviews, and then they never appear again.

  18. I’m getting my perspective in here because there are extents to which I disagree with your statement. The problem with the AI slop/generative stuff that has emerged since roughly 2021-mid 2022 is that those who have developed it and made it so popular worldwide do not have the best interests of anyone but themselves in mind. For example, Midjourney and ChatGPT have literally stolen works published by authors, artists, animators, and so on online to train on without giving credit, compensation, or even a heads up or asking for permission to do so. Darth Vader’s now deceased voice actor apparently gave permission so the Darth Vader in Fortnite thing could have been worse. I have learned more information about what this AI hype has been causing than I ever wanted to know so it’s all like a information overload when I think too much about too many details about it all that I know about it. I haven’t watched Tower Topics as I literally have so many things and interests going on but still. Things would be different if all of these AI programs were actually built on ethically created training sets, ie, people whose works get into them giving explicit permission for that to happen. The truth of the matter is that the overall current AI movement or whatever you want to call it is a scam and a grift. Its biggest proponents legitimately hate and envy creative people for well.. being motivated and driven enough to create works of art and such. This is a multi billion industry that they have built and yet, the big tech companies pushing this all in such evil ways keep burning through billions. It’s like a huge circus act. Anyway, 300 episodes for a podcast? That’s really impressive. That is so much time, effort, and dedication.

  19. The typical enthusiast always wants additions. As a life-long patron I'll take these changes in lieu of "additions": - cleaner parks overall: bathrooms, midways, queue line etc. - fresh coat of paint on/ inside buildings - better maintained rides - stores/ venues/ rides that are always open when the park is open. (while adequate staffing is difficult, closed stores. venues give off a barely functioning feeling for our family). - park theming & music - more shows I would love to see KI return to the late 70's/ early 80's vibe. It was an experience for our once a year trip. Going to the park often now does give the "it's always like that" justification- which isn't right for those who still only go a limited amount of times.

  20. Oh, I should have been more specific, I was talking about Alpenfury. Didn't realize Siren's Curse also had terrible capacity (but, of course, they could have just, y'know, put it at literally any other park).

  21. “Built” as in it was erected- the coaster itself was built for an other park but was later relocated to Sandusky-it was never custom built for CP. If it was custom built, CP would have had three trains.
