If serious now might be the time to book refundable accommodations. Though you have to wonder who gets priority on the reservations at the park and if two consecutive days will be allowed. -

What capacity are the B&M flyers able to provide in the real world? I agree that the loss of Firehawk was a major blow, Orion certainly helps. -

I like to think of it as Natural Consequences for driving faster than you should in a lot with lots of kids. -

It sure highlights that all the parks have really missed the boat by not having a lawn tractor themed coaster. Just think what Orion could have been. -

You guys going on about the parking lot again. KI keeps the asphalt in tons better shape than ODOT does the stretch of I-71 between Cbus and Mason. What is the speed limit in that lot, 15mph? I will concede the weeds make it look a little Six Flagy. -

Families demand refunds after Six Flags announces reopening changes https://www.ksdk.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/after-six-flags-announces-safety-changes-families-demand-refunds/63-20da165f-5811-4da6-b1cf-4ab22f48c06a “Six Flags values our Members and Season Pass holders and we realize that that the temporary shut-down of our parks has made it difficult for them to truly enjoy their Membership and Season Pass perks. We are working very hard to offer additional benefits and perks to make sure our Members and Season Pass holders are able to fully realize the value of these programs," difficult? So they were able to use their memberships and passes, but it was just difficult? Do better SIX. Hopefully CF doesn’t say anything as stupid as this. -

Or maintenance has nothing else to do so they are having some fun. The Bossman said fine, but if you break it you fix it. OK. -

The science is leaning towards length of exposure being a important factor in transmission. That is not to say short exposures are completely safe. So in the case of ride-ops, they are actually more in danger assuming multiple short exposures have a cumulative effect. A guest may get a small number of short exposures as they are only in contact with ride-ops a small number of times but a ride-op is being exposed to hundreds of guests each day. In other words ride-ops are expendable? Got it. -

Elevated temperatures are not always present either, so while a great screen tool it is very imperfect. Are any of you certain that no KI employee would do the same if they really needed the money? “Welcome back riders, how was your ride!” -

We were discussing Carowinds opening earlier. North Carolina hits new high of coronavirus hospitalizations since pandemic began -

How does that work with Carowinds as they are in both Carolinas? Is one a controlling authority? -

Yeah, I think maintenance is the first one to train on the ride. They need to know it better than anyone else. Someone else can probably explain better the actual progression of who does what when. -

You probably know more about it than I, but I imagine the ride-ops train heavily prior to opening day and maintenance go fix stuff. I feel like we are talking past each other here. -

Yes. But there are no ride ops currently. You are going to be a ride op, correct? Are you there training? -

@Hawaiian Coasters 325 Unless something has changed in the last few days Maintenance and some security are the only ones on premises. If you worked in maintenance and there was nothing to fix what coaster would you pick to ride? -

That can be only one thing: FastLane. I suspect they are “fixing” the FL “problem” on MF and moving the merge point to the station. -

That whole “process” seems really weird to me. So you “order” your food from the app but then they do nothing with that order until you actually arrive at the location and “check-in”. So now you still have to wait for them to make your food. I am not in the restaurant business so they may have their reasons, but if I ordered takeout for a restaurant and they didn’t start preparing it until I arrived I would not be a happy camper. -

I have to wonder if SIX and FUN roll this stuff out to all the parks this year (that are allowed to open) or if they will just run pilot programs at a few select parks this year. This all a lot of new systems and procedures. -

@PatchesC August 8th is a really early school start date. Are there longer than normal breaks? (also 8/8 is a Saturday) -

Good question. My guess is the scanners will be a screening tool with manual screening if you are flagged. I don't see them just dropping the booby trap floor out on you if you scan high. That will be interesting as well. Will FL holders need to virtual queue or just get in FL line or just get priority. If the virtual queue system prioritizes FL holders what will be the algorithm. Has the potential to make the whole system more transparent or less. -
