  1. @Winterfestguy One question I have is to what extent does splashing tube/rafts with the water sanitize them? A quick splash sufficient or does it require a more thorough cleaning?
  2. Do you have any evidence of that in statistically significant numbers. More likely those numbers are undercounted because in many cases deaths outside of hospitals are not counted. That of course depends upon the level of corruption of the local authorities. *cough* FL, GA *cough*
  3. That is some interest maths considering there were only ~40k automobile deaths in the US in 2019. We are over 80k Covid-19 deaths and the year isn’t half over. Unless your point is you are a bad driver. https://www.nsc.org/road-safety/safety-topics/fatality-estimates
  4. There is a big difference between living your life in fear and shoulder to shoulder crowds which DO happen at KI with unrestricted access.
  5. By your reasoning all of this is them being disingenuous and just playing a shell game. I like to think better of them but maybe I am being naive.
  6. However they should be smart and knowledgeable enough to know if they can operate at an lower capacity and still “loose less than staying closed”. They have capable number crunchers at corporate. Option 4 is not going to fly with DeWine and shouldn’t with any sane person.
  7. Option 3 works if Passholders are allowed to make reservations prior to ticket sales. Option 1 and 4 make absolutely no sense to me. Obvious wrong answer on the SAT. Scratch them off. I don’t like option 2 but could be accomplished with wristbands. Anyone with a blue wristband and not a red one after 4 gets a 60 day ban or you have to wrestle a hungry tiger. That sucks. Was the person wearing a mask? Did you get tested? Are you in a 14 day quarantine? How are your wife and kids taking it?
  8. Doubles tennis is the issue and that is just an oversight If it included supervised courts just like the seed issue everyone had their panties in a bunch about of hasty rule making in an emergency. In the case of tennis it is not that different than playgrounds in that there is little to no monitoring and has been proven people don’t follow the rules without monitoring and enforcement. So they just made a blanket rule and chained them up. Name one state that has met the guidelines put forth by this administration to reopen?
  9. I have a problem with that. My “City Pool” is on the grounds of the HS but is run and managed by some sort of Club, not the City. You have to buy shares or something like that to even purchase a membership. Legal hocus pocus is what it is. Nothing happens at a waterpark that doesn’t happen at a community pool. Kids are still standing in line for the slide or diving board. Both are crowded on hot days and both have lounge chairs. I am not even making a judgement if they should open or not. I just don’t see a functional difference other than capacity. If that is the issue then it should be determined that way.
  10. What is the exact distinction between the two? If a pool has a slide is it a waterpark? If not, why?
  11. How does one social distance on the river? Close the river and wave pools? What about the kiddie play structure? There isn’t a whole lot left. Better stock up on some Slip’n Slides now while they are still in stock. Probably will be a good year for Intex.
  12. With the usual Accesso $6.99 transaction fee no doubt.
  13. I can see that is a slogan, but right at the end sounds like “DONT GO!” The ride reservation system could be multi-tiered to possibly accommodate FL and be similar to SIX or completely different. If for standby it means you can’t make a reservation until you are done with the current one and have to wait 2 hours for your next ride not sure how well that will be received. (Especially when a ride goes down) If you can have 5 going at once that may be more palatable. That is a lot of IT infrastructure to get up and running and tested. I sure hope they didn’t try and create this in-house. If the application crashes then what? Glitches out and erases your reservation you waited 2 hours or more for? Why wouldn’t it work in Planet Snoopy? Lines form there as well. What is fundamentally different about the Kite Eating Tree?
  14. I remember The Who Farewell tour at Busch Stadium in like 1989. I am certain there have been several since then.
  15. I would tend to agree with you @gforce1994 if scientists made these decisions. Here in Ohio the politicians have left it up to a task force of restaurant owners to decide when and how restaurants will open with a promise of no veto. I don’t see that changing with amusement parks. Do you?
  16. I have no idea who Eric Stonestreet is but we also met Taylor’s Mom. Does that count?
  17. Yep, I was not very happy about that parking fee.
  18. I grumble when we have to pay $20 to park get free tickets and get to meet the performer and get our picture taken. My wife’s nickname for me is Cheap Bast*+d.
  19. From what I read expect to add another zero to live performance prices in the near future. I still find it astounding that people pay more than $50 for tickets to anything, but they do. .
  20. That’s OK I was going to hold out for Jurassic World On Ice.
