  1. Everyone will look like a reverse Homer Simpson.
  2. Absent a verified, approved and available treatment or vaccine? Yes, I would have a problem with that. Do you have a source for your scientific claims?
  3. If transmission only occurred through surface contact there wouldn’t be a need for any kind of masks.
  4. I wouldn’t be surprised if the other chains and even independents are in a similar situation. I have no idea what the drive-in situation is like in OH but in STL they were all forced out of business by eminent domain because they were deemed “undeveloped property” and replaced with strip malls.
  5. Unfortunately it is going to take something extreme like a few years meditating at a mountain top abbey in Nepal for me to not to touch my face. Maybe big pharma will come up with something, sigh. I just itch to much and sweat to much. I am doomed. Goodbye cruel world.
  6. You did say fishy. There are not enough tests to waste them on the dead. Wish there were but increased testing is apparently not a federal priority right now. The Doctors know what this looks like so they are making a diagnosis. We don’t know if this is being handled in the best possible way, I will give you that. What we do know is it is not being handled by you so it is not in the worst possible way.
  7. Maybe this guy will get an honorable mention. https://www.washingtonpost.com/religion/2020/04/13/virginia-pastor-church-dies-coronavirus/
  8. Clearly canceling the Darwin Awards Playoffs was a mistake.
  9. @BeeastFarmer In these hospitals that are firing/laying off/furloughing and are ghost towns and do not have the patients. Is the cause a blanket policy, poor administration, the lack of sufficient PPE, drugs or other supplies becuase it is needed elsewhere, people afraid to go to a hospital out of fear? Something else?
  10. The flip side of that @Klabergian Empire is then it opens up the subject in a lot of other threads. Containing it all here has advantages. At least so far I think it has worked well. Do we really want the subject brought up in say a thread about future expansion in XYZ area?
  11. Yeah, that is their job. Some are better than others, some even make human mistakes. Some even learn from their mistakes, some don’t.
  12. Yes it is amazing how financial experts analyze data provided by experts in other fields to make financial assessments! Wowza!
  13. That is the ugliest thing I have ever seen, but would unfortunately fit right in with current SC decor.
  14. On that subject one thing I have started doing is marking the expiration date non perishable goods with a sharpie so if it something we might not use we can get it to a food bank a month or two before it expires.
  15. Been reading up on the small aerosols we create while walking, running and biking. Some of the research is not looking good for getting outside. The distances it can travel appear to be much greater than current CDC guidelines. If the science bears out not good for distancing in amusement parks either especially on coasters or even most flats for that matter. Kids and teens run, we see it all the time. Even I have to correct my kids when they get worked up. https://www.oregonlive.com/coronavirus/2020/04/6-feet-of-social-distancing-not-nearly-enough-cdcs-recommendation-driving-some-experts-nuts.html https://www.fox13news.com/news/simulation-research-shows-covid-19-can-spread-farther-by-those-exercising-outdoors None of those are essential. We have to eat, well I could probably go a few months but you get the idea. Although we may need need to ramp up the curb side pickup type service. At least for us over 50 Expendables, you kids should be fine going inside.
  16. What freedoms are you so concerned about giving up temporarily? I would like the freedom to live long enough to see my grand kids or at least see my kids graduate from high school.
  17. That is what you HC workers are for. To fix us up after we go have fun. Now get working on this virus so we can open the darn park!
  18. Isn’t cool how they solved the TP problem in the new Area 72 restrooms? Never though of installing bidets. Very clever.
  19. Sure hope not but the Maths say otherwise. Want me to go over them again?
  20. Never heard “stay-at-home orders” before is this what the big cities call “delivery”?
