Probably unrelated but about 10:45 CP announced over the PA the 11PM fireworks were cancelled due to wind. The wind did pickup in the evening shutting down Skyride and of course WindSeeker, but it really didn’t seem all that windy.

I have been told a couple of times at KI this year I have two drink plans on my pass. All three of us purchased drink plans. Well today at a FreeStyle here at CP the associate told me my pass has two, Ryans has three and Kiefers has one but has option to be converted to Souvenir Cup for free. So I have been testing it out. (Never getting more than three cups at a time so not cheating CF in any way) Several times I have gotten 2 cups with my pass. It turns out Ryan can get only get two cups not three. Weird. But all the the half dozen times I have done this the employees don’t bat an eye and it seems perfectly acceptable to them. Now I would never really get more than 1 flavored drink in 15 minutes as I would want water in between. Will be interesting to actually try this at KI. Again never actually getting more than three at a time. Scouts Honor. Who knows maybe this is a temporary glitch. I did have to replace Kiefers pass today because he lost it at KI the other week. (They didn’t charge me). The sales associate also ended up replacing my pass because she messed something up a supervisor had to fix. But Ryan’s was not touched. To bad that meal plans don’t have the same glitch.

I would jump in my car and drive down for the occasion but I am at CP today.

If you have a SF Park as your home park there is not a huge benefit to a membership over a pass. However if you are some distance from SF park like most of us here in Ohio and the Cincy area there is one huge benefit and that is the yearly in person processing required by a pass. With a membership you can purchase at a time and price that works for you and process it. You are then free to cancel after 12 months or keep paying and never have the need to process in person again in one of the small windows SF offers for the Gold (or whatever) benefits which the most substantial is free parking. The total yearly cost of a membership vs a pass at SF is substantially the same. Obviously some don’t like paying a monthly payment in the off season when they can’t use the park, some don’t like paying CF $1500 in the fall for the best price and then not being able to use the the vast majority of those benefits until the following April or May. Pick your poison. If your financial situation is so variable that there is a risk you cannot make the monthly payments then a one time lump payment per year is probably best for you. But many seem to manage recurring monthly payments like their phone bill, internet, cable, Netflix, Hulu, insurance, electricity, gas, water and sewer just fine. If one payment account gets cancelled or expires I have several others to choose from. Don’t see a problem there.

Would that be the Lucy Edition or Peppermint Patty Edition of the Platinum Elite Diamond Exclusive Pass?

Platinum Passholders would be allowed to lob water balloons off WindSeeker and ET.

Maybe Gold Pass holders could be allowed to bring in sidewalk chalk and silly string.

Great. Now the OP’s defense will be “No harm, no foul and see the employees have fun cleaning it up!”

Rough rides especially ones like Vortex with over the head restraints that depending on your body type/height can cause severe headbanging and/or neck strains always instill a bit a fear in me. But that is a fear of pain/injury only.

Welcome to KIC! I suggest you talk to Guest Services in a very respectful and conciliatory manner. You may be able to negotiate your suspension but not likely with a “where is the rule” attitude. Just becuase your defacing of the park was not permanent does not make it right. You should have asked for permission. It’s common courtesy. Do your kids go on your neighbors driveway and create art without permission? Q. What would the park look like if every guest had 1 piece of sidewalk chalk? A. Even worse than a Six Flags Park.

Nothing 4 hours in a Cambro and an hour under a heat lamp can’t fix.

Looks great! My only question is why aren’t the peppers and onions smoked as well? Then again I am not a chef, I just smoke and grill.

As usual they sure are tight lipped about what the issues are. Considering they still wait until train A is on the break run to dispatch train B it sure isn’t promising. For all we know there could be some fundamental flaw in the design beyond the choice of braking system that needs extended downtime to correct. I don’t understand why they can’t at least dispatch after train A clears the MCBR.

Brain Freeze!

Didn’t make it to Coney BBQ tontight but had the pulled pork and cole slaw at Island Smokehouse mid afternoon. The pork was just fine with decent flavor. Being critical it was just a tad soft and the bark was very mushy but that is understandable given the holding time they have to deal with. Was pulled to an acceptable consistency and not completely shredded into mush like many people do. The slaw was incredibly bland, while crispy it had absolutely no flavor or personality to it. It was almost like mayonnaise and cabbage were the only ingredients without even as much of drop of vinegar or a grain of salt or pepper.

First time it has happened this season but around 8:30 at Panda tonight the cashier said I had two drink plans and asked if I wanted both right now. Lol. Beleive me between KI and CP I have already used the drink plan at least 75 times this season. At least 15-20 today by the time we got to Panda.

Never made back that far to sneak up on WindSeeker but I did see it running every time I looked over at it. The boys were on water ride and kick tonight so it was mostly back and forth between Rivertown and Action Zone.

Thank goodness it is over there off 71, I was scared it was going to be on 23. Meh, I think Cedar Fair is still going to get the lions share of our entertainment budget.

OMG! I can’t believe it! Rivertown Freestyle is actually open! First time in 2 years! Now let’s see about that crafty WindSeeker. Maybe if I am warry, warry quite I can sneak up on it.

It doesn’t help the situation when CF does just this thing on occasion.
