  1. The sign specifically says cell phones, an iPod Touch is neither. It has no interaction with the cellular towers and has no phone functionality. If you take a SIM out it may no longer function as a cell phone but still has the radios so is just a non functioning cell phone. As best I can tell my Pet Rock is still allowed in my pocket.
  2. *checking eBay to research the market for used iPod Touches* *checking Kickstarter to see if that shoe phone is still happening*. Dang, looks like I missed it by that much.
  3. Although I have never done it I have heard it mention on here several times that if there is not a test seat out front, you may go up the exit and request to test the restraints on the actual train before waiting in line. I suspect you will be fine on all but Drop Tower and Flight of Fear, but there may be some close calls. You may not be extremely comfortable after the op staples you in however, but rides are over fast. (99.9% of the time.)
  4. The CF Unit Holders are not going to be happy hearing about that in a down attendance year.
  5. All the full timers get together for happy hour once a month and watch a slide show of all these. I think I have some video of a recent one.
  6. Shawn, you and Mathew are the only two people that I can recall that are gaga over that ride. The thing has the worst headbanging in the park. Most wouldn’t touch it if it wasn’t always a walk-on. Now if they could build one that didn’t require a dose of ibuprofen I am game.
  7. How does that even work? Is the guard handing out claim tickets? How is he supposed to remember what bag belongs to whom? I really don’t think security is there to guard the bags.
  8. Lol. Everyone knows it has been at least 11 inches. Tools.
  9. GateKeeper and Valravn (even Raptor) may have long lines in the morning becuase they are the first coasters people see. Wait until 2-3 or after and they will be much shorter if not walk on. Valravn maybe down to 15-30 minutes. SV? Probably 1.5 -2 hours but could go higher.
  10. Clearly they want to monetize the square footage. Maybe they could sell Bashee Beignets.
  11. Maybe it could become the first drink stand in Action Zone.
  12. We were really shocked after scanning FunPix yesterday. Woah what happened here? Hopefully they will do something with that room as it just doesn’t feel right at all. Black lights and spooky music, IDK but something.
  13. @disco2000 is the $39.99 promotion you are seeing valid now through 8/19 or 7/30-8/19 like the one @Oldschool75 posted?
  14. Definitely a targeted offer. Here is the shot when you get to Accesso.
  15. We actually left right before it started tonight. I wanted to stay and check it out but we started the day at 10 this morning and everyone was just partied out by 8. I don’t plan on ending the day at SC and was parked on the boulevard not to far from the sign. Of course Dad got voted to retrieve the car. It doesn’t look like that far, but it sure is a long, hot and boring walk from SC all the way to the sign. Better alone though than with the kids.
  16. While the other players in the industry are accommodating to autism to some degree, Cedar Fair is the best by far and really seems to understand the condition. My praises and hats off to Cedar Fair. Thank you.
  17. Columbus, if it wasn’t obvious to everyone already. Maybe not exactly “everyone”
  18. The splash screen I am seeing on the website is “everyone pays kids price $39.99”. Is this a geomarketing or for everyone?
  19. Nope. Food service must have been tipped off I was coming. But I was asked about 5 or 6 times if I want “both” cups when I went for a refill. We also got a clarification on Kiefers drink plan. Apparently his second drink plan has not been “redeemed” yet so he as asked several times if he wanted to redeem it. He told me about this later and said he kept saying no and then asked me what “redeem” means. I guess we should go ahead and redeem his second plan to get these hosts off his back. So two of the kids in our group were visiting from KC so are WoF patrons. The boy about 13 is a real enthusiast and knew tons of stuff about all the coasters at KI. Even enough that he had no interest in riding Vortex and was rather indifferent about Invertigo and ended up skipping it after he and Kiefer both had a protein spill after The Bat. We had been hitting the coasters pretty hard with the only non coaster ride WWC for a cooloff. It was really muggy today but bearable except when the sun broke through. It was really funny becuase not 10 minutes latter those two boys were famished and both chowed down at Panda. Mom is trying to rope us into going along to CP on a Friday. You don’t have to twist my arm to hard for that the only problem being they don’t have CPS tickets and my boys are not very thrilled about that.
