  1. Shoes are not allowed on slides. Maybe the lazy river. There is not a designated area for them, people just kick them off by the fence. Never had an issue with anyone taking our $5 Walmart flip flops. This is fairly standard policy as I have never been to a waterpark that allows shoes on slides. In fact on one of the slides no jewelry is allowed on including wedding rings and piercings. As you walk into SC there are lockers to the left by the shower house and also to the right by the changing stalls.
  2. However something like that is very human resource intensive. CP has even more staffing struggles than KI.
  3. @robintodd You do make good points but KI is not going to give away the Best Kids Area for free.
  4. @Maverick44 Let’s see. Wood pencil... Woodie. Pencil lead breaks....Intamin. Intamin Woodie confirmed!
  5. For all of SFSTL’s faults back in 2011-2014 when we were going about twice a week they had an attendant in nearly every restroom all the time cleaning. Those restrooms were spotless. Always. Do not know if they are still putting that much effort into them but I sure was amazed.
  6. CF goes by age and not height in regards to admissions. That said, I would always be prepared with documentation if I had an very tall or short zombie.
  7. Maybe they ask the child how “many” they are? Lol. Regarding the pre-k pass at CP a copy of birth certificate is required.
  8. The pre-k Pass is only for 3-5 year olds so are SOL on that one. Good news is 2 year olds are free anyway. No KI does not have a pre-k Pass. You will need to pay admission next year at KI for your 3 year old. @Ellie I believe the only add on that is good for remainder of 2018 is FunPix. Could be wrong about that so best to look at the details on the website or write/call the park.
  9. Freak accidents happen. How many incidents like this occur each year, you only cited one? Several die each year from the brain eating amoeba, I still get in the water, lakes included. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naegleria_fowleri
  10. I have seen a photo of that sign on here before so it isn’t new. My question then was is it really an express lane or a standby line for meal plan holders since they already have your money.
  11. Not only is it a bit weird it is really going to confuse many in the GP. Goes back to what Ryan was talking about earlier in CF not being very upfront and clear in their promotions and advertising. You know there will be many that don’t read forums like this and will buy the PP then show up this fall at another park and find out they have to buy a gate ticket. Que Clark punching the moose.
  12. Name: Snoopy Kart Double Dash Location: Vortex
  13. Did you see my post or read the thread? It certainly looks like the rest of 2018 benefits only apply to the park you purchase the PP through.
  14. @Rifleman it’s starting to look like the 2019 platinum benefits do not extend to other parks until the 2019 season. Notice if you buy a new platinum through CP you only get one free visit in 2018. Also note their payment plan is only 8 months instead if 12 at KI. Not really otherwise you would get one of the Segway dry bags and carry the thing around with you 100% of the time and stuff it in your pocket on slides.
  15. That is not totally clear to me. Given it is a Platinum Pass I would certainly hope it includes platinum benefits for the rest of the season, but the Platinum and Gold verbiage below is the same for both. Call the park and verify or better yet use the web form to contact so you have a name and written verification with the response. From the Accesso purchase page: New Passholders All Season Passholders use your Pass for unlimited FREE admission and parking to Kings Island during the 2018 public operating season! Valid for Fall and WinterFest. Edit: Also some interesting verbiage from the Access page for new Passholders. Enjoy exclusive perks, discounts, and more with your 2019 Season Pass. Photo ID card can be processed at any Cedar Fair park
  16. Nah, my days of bumping cars are over. If I want whiplash Vortex is just across the midway. I am sure the park is well aware that when it comes to adolescent boys and cars their primary goal is to crash them. Always has been and always will be.
  17. Did a quick search on FUNperks here and read a few complaints. I gather a major problem was KI wanted to keep the details of how the system worked a secret. When loyalty programs are not understood, confusing and inconsistent it leads the customers to feeling like they are getting screwed. Thus having the opposite impact the organization wanted. SF has something like 6 levels of membership now and it hurts my head trying to compare them all and determine value. If they layer different rewards points for different membership levels on top of this, oh boy.
  18. Well, we all know how well KI enforces the rules once you are on the ride, so there is hope. However notice the circled “Anti-collision system available” on this sell sheet. Would be a real bummer if KI forked out the extra cash for this.
  19. “.....each time they visit the park, go on rides, see a show, or make a purchase. Members can also earn additional bonus points for participating in contests, taking surveys and reading Six Flags newsletters.” Was not around for FUNperks but this seems like a real pain. Are hosts going to scan passes at every ride or show? Self scan kiosks? What a great way to slow things down with everyone fiddling to get their pass at every turn. Probably good for lanyard sales.
