Kind of messy in the summer heat but maybe freezing them and then deep frying them State Fair style would work. Not that I get them much anymore but all things Hostess really went downhill after the closing and the restart a few years ago. It’s just not the same. One thing that really surprises me is that they don’t have just basic nachos on the meal plan. Incredibly cheap and near impossible to screw up. A bean counters heaven.

Fresh potato chips straight out of the fryer and tossed in one of 12 seasonings. Just take my money.

There is always that other theme park forum where you will routinely be demeaned and likely banned if your opinions are not in perfect alignment with the mods. Use at your own risk.

Other than a custodian cleaning restrooms food services has to be one of the worst, most unrewarding, hot and un-fun jobs in the park. At least for most people. I can’t recall ever hearing a food services employee on this board rave about their job but we certainly have sales, rides and merchandise members here that love working at the park. That basic fact is the foundation on which all the other issues including unqualified management is built. There isn’t one single cause of all the issues but they sure compound to make for a really unpleasant situation. Antiquated POS systems, poorly designed food stands, often poor ingredients, unmotivated workers, unqualified supervisory staff, etc. I think it is a lot more complicated than just the Meal Plans existing.

I suspect that kind of stuff is outside his Chef Major’s control. He may come up with the recipes and procedures but the bean counters, purchasing agents and line managers control what actually happens.

Regarding using the former DA site didn’t the park make a statement this year that they had no plans to use it? Maybe @IndyGuy4KI can help out with that.

Exciting But I understand how it could be annoying to some. Fortunately it is only during Haunt and we don’t live in Alternate Unverse KI. There are always flames and torches in Alternate Universes.

@IndyGuy4KI On the bright side at least Coney BBQ worked through the problem they had earlier in the year when running out of Mac and Cheese meant the entire line had to shut down for everyone regardless if they wanted Mac and Cheese or not.

It’s really depressing that people are going around smashing all these penny machines.

From the Ask KI a question thread. Not sure even a Giga back there will bring a restroom. Why are there no bathrooms in x-base?  Currently there are two restrooms in Coney Mall, on each end. Unfortunately, X-base is right in the middle of Coney Mall. I went out and walked it today, and it takes approximately 2 minutes to get to either end. If you ever have to make a decision about which one to go to (in an emergency) go to The Vortex restrooms. They are approximately 37 steps closer.

It is kind of ridiculous to label all the toppings as gluten free when the Mac and tots are not. That not how this works, that’s not how any of this works. Also what is gluten doing in basil pesto and sautéed onions?

That is going to be a tough fight with SFSTL. They sold off 400 or so acres of land.

On the bright side there will be plenty if room to build a really big restroom back there now.

My kids are not going to be happy about this as a Firehawk is one of their favorites. Next year they will probably prefer to go to CP more often but hopefully the space is used for something even better soon.

Guess I will wait until 10:15 to make a decision on renewing my 4 Platinum Passes. I hope CF made the correct decision.
