  1. There are actually three events I am aware of. First is Media Day, second is the First Rider Charity Event on the 27th that tickets were sold for, and third the Passholder Preview three day event 4/30-5/2. All proceedes from the First Rider event go to the LaBron James Family Foundation so if weather or maintenance prevents rides you still made a worthy donation to charity which is what it is all about anyway. One note for anyone attending. Parking is in the main lot only. You must hoof it all the back or ride the train part way. Plan accordingly.
  2. I am interested in this as well. A Giga has hills and valleys just like terrain. If it is designed to the topography what difference does it make except maybe a little cheaper in materials? Certainly one of the draws of a Giga is the impressive view of the first drop and that could be a problem if it is hidden.
  3. There is no “guarantee” the ride will be operational or weather will be fine. Just like any other day. Just sayin. It’s a new coaster, there will be downtime, guaranteed. It appears you have not read the event page or FAQ. This is a free Passholder event, nobody is being charged anything. Free food samples will be provided. Meal and drink plans are not available. Attend at your own risk. If the coaster is down Tuesday night for whatever reason your ticket is not good for Wednesday. This is April/May on freaking Lake Erie. There is a better than 50% chance the weather will be total crap and nobody gets to ride. Set some realistic expectations here.
  4. Agree. I love big and tall, but Maverick is just special.
  5. I have tickets for the 1st but not so sure I can take the boys as it is a school night and it is a lot of travel for short visit. One of them is on my naughty list right now as well.
  6. That’s what happens when a park shuns Skyride.
  7. I want to beleive you....but I don’t. Actually I long done with those things.
  8. OK. So if I loop a souvenir cup through my belt it is then a secured loose article and I should be fine on most rides?
  9. Question. Toothless is not considered a “loose article” on WindSeeker?
  10. What is strip club music these days? It has been a very, very long time for me, like the early 90s.
  11. I agree hanging a camera outside a ride vehicle could contribute, but inside the vehicle on Skyride? Regardless it seems clear that CP management’s policy is to allow photography on Skyride (with restrictions). Food or drink are not allowed on rides as well. Have you ever seen them making guests dump their souvenir bottle before loading?
  12. The issue I have is that statute does not address the ride attendants verbal instructions to the riders. Please correct me if I misunderstand, but your position appears to be that the rider has no obligation to follow those verbal instructions and only the posted ones.
  13. While that statement is true and I have not read the statute, I also imagine one is also required to follow all directions by the ride attendants even if they contradict posted rules. I am going to go out on a limb here and say there isn’t a jury in Ohio that is going to return a guilty verdict if a ride attendant gave you permission to take some photos. I further highly doubt CF is going to impose punitive consequences on a park guest when given permission by one of their employees.
  14. The All Season Dinning Plan is 2 meals with a 4 hour cool down. The All Day Plan is one meal evey 90 minutes.
  15. It is an interesting situation. Do you follow some written rule buried in some policy manual less than 1% of park attendees actual read or do you follow the instructions of the on-site ride attendant at a park with a reputation of excellence in training their employees? I have only been on Giant Wheel a few times but always ride Skyride when it is running and always ask if it is OK to take pictures. Never been told no.
  16. CP actually requires a strap for glasses on some of the coasters and at least one of the big flats.
  17. I understand why you would want to do it and some parks are fine with it, but not KI. I have been told by the ride associates at CP it is fine with Skyride and Giant Wheel as long as I keep the phone inside the ride vehicle.
  18. @LuvingKIYou might want to run that one by Guest Services in an email, so they can send that up and get a ruling. Is your goal to get more food? I actually had a similar situation a few years ago with SIX. I was on the membership plan but bought a regular SP on a sale so both passes and dining plans overlapped for about a month. Guest Services told me it was perfectly fine to scan into the park, exit the gate and scan right back in on the other passes. There were a few days we were not hungry for our second meal and ordered 6 chicken strip baskets “to go”. They were fine with it and even gave me a box to put it all in. But this was SIX not FUN. This is sort of oddball so I highly suggest being upfront with your intentions and get a ruling in writing for your protection. People here can give there opinion and sometimes they are very wrong about what CF management’s policies are.
  19. That was really great. I wish they selected an instrumental music track however.
  20. Does Season 2 of a coaster still count as World Premier?
  21. For those that have used the Ordering Kiosks and have Dinning and and Drink Plans, did it work? Last year I could never get the Kiosks at CP to accept both plans. The system would ask if I wanted a drink and then try and charge me full price for it so I ended up needing to engage a cashier anyways. This is an assumption on my part but anyone with a Dinning Plan would most likely have the Drink Plan as well and likely want a drink with the meal,
  22. Wait a minute. I don’t get this. Firehawk has two trains and two platforms, the trains always have a home. Why would it ever stack?
  23. After my Grandfather would finish his plate he would let Grandma know, “I will have my other half now Millie.” I have posted several times on here, probably in this very thread, I was skeptical KI could serve ribs. The cost per pound of actual meat is just to far out of line with everything else they serve to come in at a reasonable price point. I see the solution is to serve half a meal.
  24. Is that seriously a photo of 2 ribs? Lol. That’s a snack not a meal. And what is the posted menu price for that? I can’t wait. hahahahahahahhahahaha!
