There were reports on reddit and other places that last week Twisted Timbers was removing kids that met the 48” height requirement but the restraint was not contacting their pelvis, apparently lots were kicked off. Saw another post that claimed an email response from the park said the ops got a little over zealous. Raising the height requirement may be a way of compensating for this. Just posts on-line so don’t know all the true facts. I was getting a bit concerned about Ryan because although he is 5’3” now he is super skinny and small boned. But if the ride isn’t safe, so be it. I don’t know what the lines are for TT, but a “walk of shame” for being to skinny after a long wait is not a good situation. So I hope this change adequately addresses the situation.

Let me get this straight. You are stapled into a train, on the break run and posting on KIC?

I think you need to find a new hobby like skydiving, base jumping or the such. I think you would be much happier.

The coaster gods must smile on you Maverick44 becuase Maverick goes down a lot for us. It usually doesn’t stay down for several hours at a time like TTD, but on at least half our visits it does go down.

Gives me a headache.

Western fits the theming, country not so much.

So is ice.

Some people do and that is why you see so many Treciba Ready commercials on TV. The machines do dispense beverages other than flavored high fructose corn syrup for those of us that care about such things. Ice being my favorite. Is a Segway that much healthier? Sorry. /jk. It’s getting better.

CP is now offering the Daily Drink Pass disposable option to non-season pass holders for $11.99. Can KI be far behind? https://www.cedarpoint.com/tickets-passes/drinks-dining

Looks like a Vekoma to me.

While 40 visits is probably a bit more than I could handle, if I were more local 20-25 wouldn’t be out of the question. FL+ is also good for a few slides at SC and my kids want to spend at least a few hours there every visit. The wait for Zoom Flume is unbearable except for the most dead days. They let so many people up the tower I am not sure of its value for the other slides however. Many don’t have a flexible work schedule and so weekends/holidays are the only time they can go. Just like a season pass enables more frequent shorter visits so does this. Local and have a few spare hours on Saturday afternoon? Pop on over and you can get a lot done. It just sucks for the rest of us when they do not throttle the FL line AT ALL, which I see all to frequently.

I don’t know. You can deck your tween out with all the bells and whistles for about $800 for the entire summer. That’s less that than 3 weeks of camp. Not what I would do but you know there are parents that do.

Line jump every coaster que at least once Explore an “Authorized Personel Only” area each visit Get soaked on Congo’s bridge and immediately ride every attraction in Action Zone Flip the bird for every on-ride photo Dribble a basketball in the longest que of the day for the entire time Tell everyone around me how two people died on this ride last year Feed the bees by Rivertown LaRosa patio at least one Dr. Pepper each visit Deposit some “chew” in every drinking fountain Point out to the Mystic Timbers Crew that Lightning Rod is much better. Take a selfie on every lift hill Complain loudly to the line separator about the long wait. Clean out all the fast food bags from my car before I leave the lot Make a Coke Freestyle drink of no less than 50 different flavors Wait until I am at the front of a food line to ask my kids what they want for lunch Berate The Vortex crew for the rough ride Smoke a cigar in Planet Snoopy Did I miss anything?

True. But this thread is like a fidget spinner. It gives the restless something to do.
-
Really the raw data is not that important. What is importantant is that you moved a lot that day.
-
True we don’t need another sinking coaster like Vortex or Magnum but you hit bedrock sooner on a hill. Of course that is dependent on the geology. See the cuts on an Interstate highway.

WCPO: Kings Island rides we wish had never gone away
King Ding Dong replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Yes! Exactly! Skyride desperately needs your help over The Ride Game Thread. It is being savagely attacked by mongrols that don’t realize a park will always remain Tier ll without a Skyride. -
Then get the ribs.

I personally find pedometers very inaccurate for distance. I have a Mio and my wife a Fitbit. We can take the same walk and have very different results. By as much as 30% or so. Have also tested them by runng a GPS app at the same time. Although to do that at the park you will need to carry a powerbank to charge up the phone as GPS really sucks the juice.

I still don’t get this. If designed to the terrain correctly it would need much shorter support structures. For example if the station is at a high elevation the supports for the first drop would not need to be a full 300+ feet. If the next hill followed the terrain of the next natural hill the supports would not need to be as tall on flat ground as well.
