  1. There are plenty of GP who know what is going on. WCPO has been reporting on this topic for a while now. I actually have ran into people on the tower who were there to see the construction because they saw it on the news. And I also have friends at the Rock school in Mason I go to who have talked about the new coaster. But GP being GP they sometimes ask when it's going to open. My answer is always "it should be open when the park opens in April of 2020."
  2. I'm just hoping the announcement is at 10 pm and not midday.
  3. If I had my way we'd be getting an RMC next. Imagine opening this giga coaster and then they shock us a few years later and put in a monstrous RMC.
  4. Parks have done teasers even if the blueprints were leaked. Copperhead Strike we pretty much knew was coming before teasers started.
  5. Found this music on YouTube. This would actually be nice station music for this and would get people hyped to ride!
  6. I'm sure this coaster will pack a punch! Shorter coasters tend to pack a punch.
  7. On that Polaris video @DustinTheNow made that was posted on Amusement Insiders, I've seen several comments I just laugh at. One of them is " look, they painted Diamondback blue."
  8. I'm thinking a lot of it will be when the teasers start and hype everyone up. Yes, we will have island nights and maybe some other things, but I think very soon, the focus will turn to teasing for the big addition next year.
  9. They do it all the time. I think they've used Kings Dominions Drop Tower in a commercial before.
  10. Resurrecting this thread again. I've been hearing some stories of some teen behavior at Kings Island this year. They also seem to be cracking down on the having phones out on rides issue. Imo this looks like a good place to discuss stuff like that even if they don't end up getting ejected.
  11. I'm sure the advertising for this thing will be over the top. They'll probably be advertising this thing throughout the off-season to push season pass sales and throughout the entire season. I could even see them advertising it hard for 2-3 years leading up to the next coaster. Which I'm sure we'll see huge advertisements all over the area
  12. Well there are a good amount of GP who knows about this since of how much WCPO and John Matarese has reported on it. I've ran into multiple people on the Eiffel Tower who were up there to see the land clearing because they saw it on TV.
  13. John Matarese is their teaser lol.
  14. No more like this. Taken from In the Loops video from 2016.
  15. Will anyone go to the Mason City Hall and see if there is any new blueprints soon? Thanks.
  16. An idea I just thought of is they could do something similar to how Cedar Point teased Valravn. What they did was on the Valravn construction fence, they did a billboard for each operating coaster and put them up in order of when they opened basically as a timeline. Since this coaster is such a big deal for the park, it would kinda make sense imo to build up to the major announcement by looking at the past rollercoasters they added.
  17. Here's a concept I made of a dive coaster in the Invertigo/Congo Falls plot. I give you Demon!
  18. I wonder how long it'll take to take all the decorations down. They really went all out with detail and decorations.
  19. I actually know some people who come to the park and spend a day here, they try and do the dry park and water park the same day.
  20. **DOUBLE POST** Here is the link to that interview I mentioned.
  21. Wcpo actually did an interview with Chad before the park opened and actually asked about the speculation of a giga and Chad responded by talking about focusing on this season first. And actually a revamped international street along with the antique cars is a big deal to them. Also, I don't think they just won't do anything. I'm sure we'll be seeing something soon to tease this thing.
  22. I believe because they were focused on the 2019 additions and they didn't want teasing to overshine Grand Carnivale.
  23. Usually announcements are held on Thursdays, but things can change.
  24. Are you saying Diamondback is going to be removed soon? I hope that's not the case.
  25. I think the night announcements were more for them to use the whole day to hype it up. Which imo that's the best way to do it.
