  1. I, for one, do love to see the investment and care put into Soak City. I visit Soak City a few times a season and in general I'm not really a water park guy. But this off season is honestly the most excited I've been to return to Soak City ever! Not only am I excited to return to Island BBQ, but I'm also excited to see all the upgrades as well as experience River Racers. I don't think River Racers is going to be the greatest water ride ever, but to have a water coaster at Soak City in the first place is something I look forward to.
  2. Even though its not a loop, could I submit a plea to add a corkscrew to The Bat?
  3. Looks like Opening Day is Saturday, April 19 from 10am-9pm! And Passholder Preview Day is Friday, April 18 from 12-9pm as well!
  4. Pretty much all Warren County really got was heavy snow
  5. I personally believe Good Gravy earned it. It has absolutely amazing theming and a pleasant, smooth experience that can be enjoyed by basically anyone. I also rank Good Gravy slightly higher than Soap Box. Good Gravy was an awesome addition to Holiday World.
  6. For Entertainment, I personally would love to see Timberwolf utilized more. If they get good acts in, KI can definitely profit and it would be an easy advertisement campaign to drum up more business.
  7. Imagine three racing rides at Kings Island doing racing better than the huge one up at Cedar Point...
  8. Personally, I'd love to see an S&S Scream n' Swing in the Crypt plot. Rivertown needs a high thrill flat ride and that would be perfect.
  9. Well, 2025 starts tomorrow and there is quite a future to look forward to: 2025 will be the first full season of Six Flags We have River Racers debuting in Soak City, the first addition to Soak City since Tropical Plunge in 2016 We will probably, at some point, start seeing signs of the 2026 "family thrill attraction" Lastly, possible 2025 offseason removals. Personally, I'm counting down the days until April. I cant wait for the off season to end!
  10. Personally, I think Good Gravy is better. Even though Soap Box has slightly stronger forces, Good Gravy has the better theming. Also, both are glass smooth, so additional points for both.
  11. If you are choosing to dine at Coney BBQ during Winterfest, I EXTREMELY recommend the apple cobbler. Regardless if you have the meal plan or not, it is 1000% worth the upcharge.
  12. I went to Winterfest last Saturday. I honestly forgot how much of a great atmosphere KI has during the holidays with all the lights and festive events. Racer and Soap Box are great additions to Winterfest. They both are running great in the cold as well as Mystic. All of the rides I did were awesome. The train was cool as always. I had my dinner at Coney BBQ and the meal there was delicious as always. Highly recommend the apple cobbler. I especially love the new themed area between the Eiffel Tower and Rivertown that's themed to the Shooting Star. Absolutely a great call back. I look foreward to returning over the next several weeks!
  13. "Family additions" by themselves are fine. But when the majority of recent additions are "family additions", I agree with @Orion742 it is really getting stale. I personally believe we are now at the point where KI has/has added "family additions" to the point where the park is oversaturated with them. A lot of people I've talked to really would love to see a new high thrill coaster come to KI. The guest demand is there. Not just from coaster enthusiasts, but also from the GP.
  14. If Invertigo is there opening day 2030, I will be genuinely surprised.
  15. Going off what @BoddaH1994 said, Adventure Express's minimum operating temp is 45 degrees, and as soon as the thermometer goes below 50, it runs really slow. With Racer, however, its minimum operating temp is 35 degrees. The other morning I was helping opening up Racer and it was about 38 degrees when we did our morning checks and Racer was running pretty good considering the cold temps. Having The Racer open for Winterfest is a great addition to the lineup. Also idk if this is being discussed yet, but Fastlane for Winterfest? When I look online at Fastlane, says it will be on sale soon. Considering that two coasters are now joining the Winterfest lineup, could we see Fastlane implemented for Winterfest and the end of the single rider lines?
  16. That sounds awesome! I'd love for, at some point, there to be a more in depth seasonal overlay of Boo Blasters for Haunt and WinterFest. Disney is able to do it with Haunted Mansion; I see no reason we can't as well.
  17. Boo Blasters is run by ride operators under the Planet Snoopy jurisdiction. When Planet Snoopy is closed for Haunt, Boo Blasters is too. To my knowledge, its been that way for years.
  18. Idk about you, but KI having the first ever Giga sized bench would be pretty dope!
  19. Current ride operator here! To address the subject of line jumpers: As you probably already know, line jumping is strictly prohibited at Kings Island. ANYONE who sees line jumping should speak with a ride operator as soon as possible about it. Almost every coaster at Kings Island has a distributer (who tells you what row to go to) and that is usually the first person you can go to when reporting line jumpers. Another way to report line jumpers is to text (513) 434-6337 which will go directly to KI security. Something else I should mention. When guests are reporting line jumpers, there needs to be two or more different parties that saw the suspected line jumping. Only when two or more different parties witness line jumping can the ride operator tell the line jumpers to go to the end of the line and wait their turn. However, if a ride operator sees line jumping for themselves, they will tell the line jumpers to go to the back of the line and wait their turn. Failure by line jumpers to comply in either situation will result in either a ride supervisor to tell them to go to the back of the line or KI security being called. That is how our line jumping policy was explained to me during training.
  20. Figured I'd add some positive reviews lol. I recently tried the burnt ends at Coney BBQ. And as someone who loves a good BBQ, I can confidently say that they've hit the nail on the head! I've now had the burnt ends several times and every time I've had them they've been cooked very good. The little bits of fat melts in your mouth and the sauce on them is just SO GOOD. The hush puppy they give you is also really good (big fan of hush puppies lol). I'd say the best side you can get with the burnt ends is the mac and cheese. All of that combined is very good and its now my go to meal at KI. Very close to the burnt ends in second place is, of course, the pub burger at the Brewhouse. I had my first one of the season last visit before I had to clock in and it was very good as always.
  21. Why did I read this in a Morgan Freeman voice?
  22. Pretty sure a few years back before covid they used part of the path for a haunt maze. I wanna say it was Cornered or something abandoned.
  23. I did it for the first time in 2023. I dont mind it being an upcharge attraction and frankly with my other two friends is one of the most thrilling rides at KI.
