Cedar Point 2016 Talk
The Interpreter replied to Bansheeback's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Cedar Point, at least once upon a time, did not allow adults to wear such shoes in the park. -

So, you admit you sometimes engage in an unreasonable pace. That's the first step to rehabilitation. -

Terp has a tendency to criss-cross the park over and over again. Not at a trot, though, more like a sashay. At this age the only trotting I do is at the back door.... -

I understand that. But the guy I quoted is still nothing more than a ridiculous fanboy. He has shown that time and time again in his posts. He stated Millenium Force was better than Fury. And those of us that have experienced both, laughed hysterically. Well, some did... -

^ I felt guilty when I did that to you (very similar, not the same). Good to know I don't need to... -
Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
The Interpreter replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I wish there were some way to put a good face on that. I suspect this will also lose them employees. And how on earth can a business case be made for the Hotel Conneaut with the park only open three days a week? Not good. Not good at all. -

Nor is this the day to push the trespassing issue. Getting out is a necessity. Getting in, however.... -

And the sign clearly indicates it is NOT the public's road to Cedar Point. -

Because it is assumed those so going are residents of the private road. What would happen in a case like this remains to be seen... -

Park visitors have been known to be cited for trespassing when they use that road. It's happened more than once. The road is private, its maintenance cost is borne by the abutting landowners. It is not a public road. -

Well, there's also that it is a posted private road that the public has no right to use as a thrufare. This could get interesting. -

HoliWood Nights & CoasterMania 2016

Sometimes, there are loose Terpies running around. If you go around with him, you'll find yourself doing unusual things--like looking at Fascination placards at KI, looking for new and old transformers, checking out light fixtures, chatting happily to long time employees in gift shops and glass blower shops, smelling around refuse containers in restaurants (rotten Coca-Cola, really--time to go check out the local perch), leaving after 37 minutes and fighting incoming traffic, talking to security and guest relations instead of being admitted, talking to the local ne--signal lost. And riding a coaster or two along the way. Or not. -
I'm imagining someone riding Steel Force with that. You see, years ago, Dorney Park had gotten sued over a lost/stolen article in a coaster station. Despite signs saying "Dorney Park Is Not Responsible For Lost Articles," the park lost. For several years thereafter, there were no bins in stations. Nothing was allowed to be left behind. And, believe it or not, the rule was, I kid you not, everything must go with you. I saw large Teddy bears, huge handbags, hand held cell phones (they were much heavier back then, too)... Then again, this same park used crossed lower arms raised high as "Dispatch!", checked bars on Steel Force only by looking, not tugging, etc.

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!

Oh...how this is going to be so clearly demonstrated in the coming days. -
The type of parents who would drop off a brat\brats at the park for the park to babysit are oft the reason said kid\s is/are brat/s to start with. The apple doesn't fall all that far from the tree. Poor parenting. Poor, bruised apples oft become rotten apples.
