  1. Where ever you go, no matter the park there will always be a form of line jumping. This act happens in places other than parks too. Now for the way the staff responded to the event, KI has policies and procedures put in place and one of them is that 2 different groups must report a line jumper in order for them to ask them to leave. Policies like this are put into place to help with these kinds of problems, and they evolve and change as the company grows in order to create the best possible answer/outcome to any situation. This is their way of handling it and I personally have no qualms with it and believe it works.
  2. I'm confused... https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/192972222191775745
  3. Most coasters would have an increase of capacity if they did not have seat belts. The fact is this coaster was advertised as a high capacity coaster, and with the addition of seat belts they ultimately cut the hourly capacity down by at least 400 people. It is just very strange that only CF parks added seat belts to their B&M hypers, a coaster style that has had no notable restraint malfunctions. Buckling a seat belt in a normal circumstance like in a car may take no time at all, but in an amusement park these things can take minutes to accomplish (trust me I have seen it).
  4. He does make a funny point though...
  5. According to all reports on KIC and other fan sites, capacity has been dramatically affected on all these coasters, which is a shame. Where is the line that makes a coaster need seat belts or not. For example Vortex and Flight Deck receiving seat belts, but then having them removed a few seasons later.
  6. As a Go Pro user I am SO HAPPY someone captured some wide angle pics of opening day! Thanks!
  7. The real question all us old time users that remember QTV really want to know... Are there dancing cats?!
  8. If you think you will be going to the park more than once then go for a pass, it pays itself off after 2 visits. My answer would be to go for it. I'll be returning from my job in Baltimore in about a week, I also plan on buying a pass even though I will only be in Ohio for 2 months.
  9. Those drapes are from the 2005 Winterfest, they were left there for the next season. I also agree they were really nice and could use a comeback.
  10. /\You forgot to add your stuff about the Earth. Anyway, I really do hope they do not go for the Maxair look, when it came to color schemes Delirium was truly one of the best. So far I do not like the orange and the checkers being gone, but as this is not the final product I can't say yet if I will truly not like it, looks like a giant miscolored match right now.
  11. Why is it so many parks are able to build their coasters while retaining so many trees yet KI removed IMO an unnecessary amount for Diamondback and Banshee
  12. Lex Luthor is by far the best drop ride I have ever been on, folks in the north east are in for an amazing experience.
  13. Has there been any word on the night time ride effects recently? If there will be ground fog I hope to see it soon on the webcam.
  14. Yes there are things that the park does that I don't agree with (like this rumored seatbelt) but I still love the park. I'm not pushing some agenda buddy and you should not falsely label me as one. Just because a baby is crying on a plane I'm not going to push some movement to stop crying babies on planes but I can still be annoyed by it.
  15. And you How much worse than last year could it get? Apparently they had the most in the rides history, I guess they forgot to hit the empty seat button because we all know that's impossible.Or maybe just maybe it only seemed slow for you guys. I know I had no issue with the Diamondback line last year even though I was looking for problems because of whiners like you guys. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk Or I'm just rational, at least Im not calling people names. No but you are complaining about little details of the park on the a fan site of said park. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk And you mean to tell me that I am the only one on this site that has talked about the little thing in the park on said fan site?

  18. I heard the same thing. I don't know PKIVortex but I find it interesting that both he and I have heard the same news.
  19. Hoping one day you do bud! Will you allow fans to take legal photos from outside the park and not make an unnecessary uproar on fansites?
  20. Let's hope they allow photography like the rest of the world when it begins testing.
  21. Again the park has "requested", so if someone does post a photo from GWL and they had permission from the hotel just remember they did nothing wrong. Don't attack any individual that may post a photo today because I bet you there are some right now from this site getting photos from off park grounds. Personally I find the webcam shots to be sufficient enough although I would love to be up in my plane right now seeing testing from the air. Also to answer any questions, no , KI does not control airspace.
  22. As long as your not on private property you can take and post photos, paparazzi do the same thing with celebs. The way I see it, we (the users), are the paparazzi taking photos and bringing more media attention to the park, which last time I checked is a great thing. Not sure why the park is being so negative about photos of the park that are taken from outside the property. It's not Area 51. It's a park in the middle of a populated part of Cincinnati. Also the park does not own GWL, the park may have asked that no photos be taken from the hotel, they do not have that authority. It's the same when I took photos of Firehawk construction before it was announced, that's pubic airspace, other than government buildings or private airspace under certain conditions can legally say that any flight over or photography is prohibited.
  23. That's good to hear. I personally don't mind seat belts on inverted coasters. Still hope to never see them on a B&M Hyper Coaster.
  24. Speaking of trains, does anyone know if there will be seat belts?
