  1. While it does look amazing, I think it needs one thrill ride attraction to really persuade me.
  2. Weather KI had plans or not for a splash zone (which it didn't)... I think the fact of the matter is we all wish KI included one with the ride because lets admit it, it is kind of pointless without one. Also, look how clean the splashdown looks in that photo.
  3. As long as there are no filters, I don't have any issue with Instagram being used as a placeholder 'construction gallery'. I only have an issue with the twitter feed. It is always littered with pointless and repetitious updates and on the 2nd it gave the worst news of all, "The track on Banshee is not filled with sand". At least fill it up on the front half of the ride! Remember how loud IJST was when it first opened as it went into the helix? It could be heard all the way from the parking gates and everyone on this site complained about it.
  4. Remember how Rivertown lost everything Rivertown about it with Diamondback?
  5. Had an awesome time bud and it was great seeing you again.
  6. I personally walked out on this show. Trust me when I saw you made a great choice deciding not to see it.
  7. 10 points to those that know. In fact this is my design for a tattoo I am getting!
  8. that's cool how you where able to do that He is doing something similar to what I did during DB's construction Magicians never revile their secrets.
  9. Yes, that's 240 minutes (4 hours) for Toy Story Mania at Tokyo Disney Sea Was at the park last week, Will do a Trip report if there is any interest (or if I'm not busy)
  10. If I won the competition I wouldn't even go to Knotts! I'd spend my time there at Disney!
  11. Ugh, as much as I love being in Japan right now it sucks that everytime I go to see the webcam it is dark (13 hour difference)
  12. As a former worker of what once was one of the best themed rides, Tomb Raider, I know the inner workings (or lack thereof) of Kings Islands unfortunate ways of up-keeping theme. I would love to see more theme at KI I just worry about the outcome of it in the years after it opens. I also worry about the theme KI says they will implement on Banshee.
  13. are we fanboys or just concerned guests? get it right buddy
  14. Time: 2005 Place: Tomb Raider: The Ride It had been raining all day at the park and TRTR's line was really long with people trying to get on a ride that was not closed. When they got to the Pre-show and "famous last words" were said, the associate made the following announcement, "ladies and gentleman, please follow your rows as you enter the ride area, and if you happen to know a song title with the word 'rain' in it please tell us we are in a rain war with Flight of Fear, we currently have 25. Thank you and enjoy your ride." They also did Tomb Raider Trivia every so often and gave out park prizes.
  15. I understand what it is like to work at a park in 100* weather, occasional rude guests, and guest relating; Honestly, it is not that difficult. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I know how DB should be run and it was hard for me to not pick up the mic and say, "OK, this is how you do it"! As for WindSeekers crew, the general public does not give a hoot if the crew hates the ride, they just want to be in and out and enjoy their time in the park. People hated Son of Beast, and it had the best darn crew you could ask for. "It's red, it's mean, it will make you scream. It's the Diamondback" -Nemo
  16. Thank goodness, as a former tomb raider worker I would never want to eat a full dinner in thare.
  17. When I was on the Eiffel Tower yesterday, all of Action Zone has something BLUE when it comes to the supports.....(Invertigo, Delirium, Flight Deck) now Banshee......and then from the light of the sun, it looks like Diamondback is being built with the color of the track. Don't judge by the color of the coasters track but by the contents of their experience.
  18. I was very surprised at how smooth Phantoms Revenge was, the transitions were as smooth as a B&M (other than the airtime). As much as I would love to see Vortex get the same treatment I think we all know that will never happen.
  19. I have the pentagons best team trying to decipher what you just said.
  20. Paramount definitely had more big budget production type shows, which in turn, made them better shows. I was very disappointed with rock and roll never forgets, almost embarrassed. Toy factory continues to be my favorite show I have seen at Kings Island.
  21. Gatekeeper, as much as I disliked the ride had the best crew in terms of capacity. Diamondback this year has been awful though. Did not once see them even attempt so called 'power hours'. Sorry DB, you went from the best crew in '09 to the worst. But then again many of the '09 DB crew were originally part of the '08 Beast crew, Which was regarded as the best crew in the rides history.
  22. I saw the show my first time at Kings Island. I was 10. The best part about Nick was they knew how to relate to kids and create a world they loved. Unfortunately Peanuts (while children themselves) don't relate to kids at all, except for snoopy. All children love fluffy dogs. I bet Paramount never expected that same theater would home a Halloween maze. Winning comment right there!
