The tunnel is indeed gone. I like the sign, I mean it may not be attracting to teens and adults but it attracts the kids!

Favorite Coaster at PKI
Captain Nemo replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
I voted for Son of Beast. I'm sorry but IMO Son of Beast is a wonderful roller coaster and a great layout full of thrills. It may be bumpy (Depending on where you are sitting) but I have the best time of my life riding it. -
I love Coasterbuzz, tells me all the dates. I can't wait till the 20th Birthday next year!
-
Those kinds of things are really fun. My mom used to do things like that when I was young. She called them Mystery Rides. She would travel there going the long way keeping me guessing where we were going. You could try that.
-
I think people ride it because it was the first ride to officialy be called the first terrain coaster. And for the reason that it has no specific layout so it gives you the feeling that the ride is going anywhere.
-
Jasper, can you see why the start tours would be scary for a kid like I was when I rode it. I mean I wont lie, the rest time spent at Disney was great and I had a really fun time.
-
Did you have more fun than the picture of you standing on your head? The Timber Tower looks awsome, to bad it was closed. I'm just wondering, did the park turn out the way you expected and more?
-
Sounds like you had the experience Disney wanted to give! I only went once to the parks and sadly I didn’t get the full experience since I got on two rides that scared the gillys out of me. I was five at the time and was not big into thrill rides yet and my family was in line for Star Tours. The ride was basically a motion Simulator but did more turns and drops than what a normal simulator did. I did not like the ride at all and cried after, I WAS FIVE!!!! After that tragedy we rode some other rides then my family went into the Body Wars line. I did not know that this was basically the same ride, meaning it was a motion simulator. I went through the line but when I saw the entrance to the pod you enter, since it looked exactly like the entrance to enter the pod at star tours I panicked. I ended up having to ride what must have been the worst ride ever in my life, mostly because I didn’t want to ride it. So those two rides kind of took away my Disney experience but I still had a great time riding the other rides.

This is all according to Weather.com, Opening day (this Friday) will be consisted of Isolated T-Storms with a high of 72* and low of 57*. On saturday, the weather is predicted to be a high of 73* and low of 53* with Scattered T-Storms. On Sunday you can expect some Scattered Showers. The high is expected to be 69* and a low of 52*. Monday looks like it will be Partly Cloudy with a high of 72* and low of 50* Now remember that weather can always change for the better, or worse, but it is way to early to know if this will be the case.

Kung fool guy (just a little humor, no harm from it), we should not jump to conclusions so soon, besides... this is a hybrid wooden coaster. By the sound of that, it sounds smooth but I cant make any judgements till the opening of it.

Thats fo-shizle! How else am I suppose to comment about such a ride like that?

Another PKIC Exclusive: One Last Look!
Captain Nemo replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I think they look sweet! Once again guys you got some great pics and made a greqat update. This is what a fansite is all about, getting the updates, even if the opening day is less than 10 days away! Nick Universe is coming along grand and the rest of the park looks great as well. Thanks for the great updates guys. -Nemo -
Wow, today is another cool date! Today in 1996 Flight of Fear opened to the public. What an interesting fact.
-
Hey, without coasterbuzz we would have to rely to the REAL die hard pki addicts.
-
In 2001 on this day, The press day for the new Nickeolodeon Central happened. The new attractions included the first inverted coaster for kids- Rugrats Runaway Reptar, and the retheamed log flume ride, The Wild Thornberry's River Adventure. I thought that bringing this to everyones attention was important now that we are getting ready for the new Nickelodeon Universe. This is why Paramount Kings Island has all those Golden Tickets for the best Kid's Area, And bygone it! They deserved it!!!

I laughed, I cried, I was at the edge of my seat! 2 thumbs up, way up! I really did like the movie, very creative and smart. Thanks for posting this on the forums, I really appreciate it. The actors only made it better. Great spot at PKI to use that scene, really fits well. I'm going to look at the rest of your movies since I enjoyed this one so much.

I just wanna know why this guy now decided to say something about it. Your view on the ride is yours and I have no problem with that. Everyone is entitled to their own dicision. Now in your case AZ kinda guy, if your looking for a ride "that" kind of ride I would suggest Bon Bon Land.

I don't think the buy is going to be a quick as everyone thinks it is going to be. These things I would guess take a while to finalize a buy, especialy for a park. I expect to see Paramount parks on the selling block for a while now.

It's great your planning a trip here, I hope all goes well! PKI.com will help you to the best of it's ability for your trip. http://www2.paramountparks.com/kingsisland...comodations.cfm Have a great visit.

Dubailand theme park coaster question?
Captain Nemo replied to Monkey Joe's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
If you take a picture of Vortex from your home camera do you have to ask PKI for permission to post it on the web? Now I don't think another park would do it the Peeps way and advertise their park with another coaster from another park. Maybe Paramount was very very nice and likes to share ! -
Just to add, I look at this as for example, the FX theater. Two shows are playing, one show on one side of the building and one on the other. When you think in the long-run, both rides are the same (moving seats, watching screen). But then again Both shows are different and offer something else (Different movie). Thats how you can look at it.
-
I'm unsure if you can really compair the two rides. Yes they do have in common many things but they are totally different rides if you think about it. Both rides challenge to give a spacific thrill to the riders and theme. Now I have not been on Rocken Roller Coaster but I have seen renderings of what it is like. But at this moment in time I think they are different from each other.
