I have loved Son of Beast ever since it opened and never have had any problem with it. Now I can see where people come from when they don't want to ride it but I can handle it. Area's I felt a major difference in was the first drop and turn, the turn at the top of the first hill entering the double helix, And the rosebowl. I find it still a great and enjoyable ride and I hope you do.

That would be great. What year was this episode filmed?

what is Holiwood Nights
Captain Nemo replied to ChadMan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Wow, this event is full of cool things, ERT, Walkbacks. Sounds cool, I'm not part of any coaster club, I'm a club of my own. -
I said Usually. I don't think PKI is a park they are interested in either.
-
Don't worry, Vortex is here and running. I don't know who told you such a thing but there is no need to panic, everyones favorite Arrow looper is still here!

During the time CBS was selling us there was no news on who were interested in buying. The only clue we had was the news a week before the Cedar Fair buy when they said they were interested. Busch Gardens and Universal are also not looking for our kind of park, Usually parks that are all year round have sister parks that are year round as well. But to answer your question there were no indications of Busch Gardens or Universal interested in buying.

I looked at the fact sheet at Greatwolflodge.com to cheak out what perks they will have. While it has no info about any entry to PKI there are some other facts that are worth looking at.

Thats one wicked trip Maverick! Have fun, hope the parks wont be to crowded.

I'm Shocked this poll isn't the main page poll. PKI has been for sale for about 4-5 months and people began to know that we would be sold back in september. The fact is that most everyone in the end knew it would come down to Cedar Fair or a Privet Comp. The true expression I had when I logged on to PKIC and saw the news was something like this... It will be different and many changes will come but in the end I know everyone will be happy. In reply to Erosarrow05 post I must agree with that point you made that CP is what keeps Cedar Fair going, it's their main focus and even after this buy I will not doupt it will still be their focus. This buy is truly massive because PKI is such a huge park and contains alot of great rides. I can't wait to see what will be in store next year.

Intamin track spotted on 275 today!
Captain Nemo replied to YoungStud's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Most likly it was heading to Cedar Point. If it was red you can bet 99.9% that was where it was going. It must have been a sight to see. -
Im unsure of the whole name change and what that will bring but I don't think we will nedd to be worried about any change to the name "Kings Island". If anything Cedar Fair will want to keep that name just drop the Paramount, they may add some title before like Cedar Fairs Kings Island but I think Kings Island is just fine.

This is how I like to think of the whole thing... Listen to the following music while you read. mmm, the smell of cedar! Recently a Cedar Tree has been caught in the area near Kings Island. All the commotion near PKI grew and rumors began spreading around on why the tree was there. The tree grew and grew and people began to make guesses what it was doing there. Was the tree going to spread its seeds into PKI? This all came from fiction to fact; the seed was planted at Kings Island and should be a fully grown Cedar Tree in September! People have mixed feelings about the growth of this tree in PKI. Many say it does not belong, some say that there are too many Cedars in the state of Ohio, but others think the new cedar tree will sprout into something great. Now I at first questioned the cedar tree and its presence here but I soon welcomed it after I thought down to think about it. All the Sap from the tree could make our land (PKI) a better place. The Tree Sap from the Cedar tree has had a great mixture of wonderful things that have made people happy and I for one know that this tree sap will be Kings Islands Nectar. When one tree is sucked dry of its nectar, the bugs search for a new source, in this case it is the cedar tree. The new tree will bring a new taste to the bugs and have something they never had before. The new tree is growing and when it sprouts in September we will sure be in for a new taste of what we know as Paramount Kings Island! The Mountain snow has melted and spring is blooming on our beloved summit, and in the place of where snow once glistened a Cedar Tree has grown!

Since almost everyone here at PKIC is used to the Nick theme almost everyone will vote Nick.

Cedar Fair Purchases Paramount Parks!
Captain Nemo replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Cedar Fair now has if you really take it all in, a monopoly in Ohio. Big changes are to come our way. This year is about to get interesting. -
It's really hard to tell, but usually in the morning it's not very crowded since alot of services are going out.

Worst park on earth!
Captain Nemo replied to ZosoBeast's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It's not that bad... I would go! -
The park I would say had 35-40 thousand people today. Almost every ride had a full queue. It was quite busy today.

I had the chance to get me a ride on SOB. I myself thought the ride was great last year and before that and I had no problem with it. It is smoother this time around and a much more enjoyable ride. It is worth taking a spin on.
