CEO Brings Things Back....What Would You Like To See At KI?
New App - Pump $$ into an integrated system with a new UI that better serves the largest needs of all guests that visit the park. If we’re going to have guests use their phones for needs inside the park I for sure want the app to work 100% of the time! Stop all AI image generated content - This isn’t a gas station convenience store. I’m hiring back artists. That is all. Entertainment - Festhaus to move away from stage shows and introduce more live soloists or duos there and around the park. The Gardens, Action Zone shade structure. Shade structures added to all outdoor venues. More Human Interaction Meet & Greets like characters from Phantom Theatre, Charlie Brown’s teacher who walks around the park talking in the same voice, Raptor Encounter but The Beast or Mystic Timbers tree. ride closures/replacements - Total overhaul of Flight of Fear to last 30 more years. Have a Vekoma Thrill Glider ready for when The Bat ultimately closes in the same area. close Congo Falls. Remove TRTR building. Replace WWC with MACK rocking boat using same trough. overhaul technical services - I don’t like burnt out lights so I know it will require a larger team! More shade - In general add more shade locations with seating. I could go on but this is what I could think of before going off on a tangent

Kings Island 2026 Special Events
I’m not saying that no one saw problems and there weren’t any warnings beforehand. A lot of people were very vocal about their skepticism of the merger. When I say ‘in hindsight’ is that now post-merger after seeing the consequences that came from it, we can clearly look back and confirm our predictions. Doesn’t mean no one had concerns before it happened.

Kings Island 2026 Special Events
A lot of good people were let go in the merger, including talented people who brought a lot to the company. Unfortunately tends to happen all the time in cases like these. Was it a mistake? In hindsight yes, the timing and execution wasn’t very good. Nothing can be done about that now the past is in the past. Now I look to the direction they are going. To be honest I see a very (VERY) small trajectory upwards but with caveats. Six Flags and Cedar Fair made these mistakes before, because of it parks suffered for a while and some parks were closed/sold as we’re seeing currently. These decisions did help the company get back onto their feet financially but took time to build back trust in their customers. Six Flags was still trying to earn that trust back when this merger happened.

Son of Beast station condemned
In the case of KI a parking lot roller coaster. going along the old Colombia road between Great Wolf Lodge and the front gate beside preferred parking would be a fantastic location for a thrill coaster. growing up walking towards the entrance in the parking lot Face/Off was such a awesome introduction. Made the experience of walking into a park that much more memorable. Same with GateKeeper and Fury325 among others. I don’t think we need a front gate coaster like Cedar Point as the Eiffel Tower is the main focus point but a coaster by the side of the main gate as I stated above would be a very welcome addition.

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Reviews
I’ll take 90% maybe 80% but under that becomes a bigger issue.

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Reviews
As a technician who worked in shows just like our phantom friends, I have to strongly disagree with this particular point. All departments have a duty to make sure that each presentation of the show is like the last and we do that fairly regularly.

Hey. If 14 people can forget they left Kevin at home it’s possible they forgot the post about PT:ON (watch the KI post if you don’t understand)

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Construction Progress
Sigh… I don’t know what it is but the idea of some KI fans in a large group like Season Passholders knowing this location is giving massive “trespassing” vibes. Same thing as the Batavia Factory with some people. I know it’s not everyone in the group but the fact that these photos exist for indulgent minds… idk… just a feeling. Just get reminded of a time a few members from KICentral once entered the Batavia plant during Diamondbacks construction.

Six Flags Wrapped 2025 Ridership Totals
So I recall the parks doing the same social posts last few years. Does anyone have any of those old posts? It’s going to be very interesting to see how the numbers change especially post merger. These are the 2025 ridership number posts I could find.
