  1. If it were allowed (I doubt it is), I'd bring flowers to do that thing I used to see in old movies and cartoons, where people toss roses to the foot of the stage during the final final bow. C'est Manifique!
  2. Awesome trip report! It was fun to read. Glad you had an amazing time!
  3. I actually love this show! I've seen the show only six times this season; it moves me literally to geek-out tears every time (the transition to the dream-like music when the Aerial Silk dancer emerges from the cave is such an amazingly perfect song - and visual (the long train) - in every way, and then her performance... it's simply too hard to articulate unprecedented levels of being impressed.) That loud "clack" of the collapsing rails as one huge prop moves (I'm sparing details to prevent spoilers) scares me every... single... time!
  4. If you're here because you heard I'm dead, be of good cheer, for I'm in a place that's better than Kings Island (even better than Cedar Point!) because of a Gift that was paid for over 2,000 years ago!

  5. It's not altogether impossible. These chaps were quite thin, and in exquisite, physical form. One needs to be, in order to achieve the desired Effect.
  6. For the record, no UFO pilots were involved in the leak. In the Whitewater Canyon barrage, which featured these well-haberdashered fellows, yes, but in this leak, nope!
  7. This is what Surf Dog aspires to be when he grows up! My only Jersey experience was the former Ft. Dix/McGuire AFB long ago. Didn't realize I was so close to where the Hindenburg disaster had taken place many decades before. Anyway, lots of sand and pine trees. Never made it to any amusement parks (it was winter anyway).
  8. Do enjoy The Beast once, and then again at night if possible. EDIT: Unchained beat me to it! Be sure to enjoy The Vortex, too!
  9. Big shout out to Emma at the Eiffel Tower! Amazing interaction with the guests always! Mad props to the cleaning crew! KI gleems! A note of recognition to whoever thought up the snake-in-a-snake mugs in the gift shops! Brilliant! One, BIG happy smile and handshake for the crew at the Frozen Yogurt place! Their friendliness is genuine, and their love for their work shows!
  10. I have to control my emotions; I'm hella crushin', and it's too soon. Too soon.

  11. Wow! What memories! I forgot all about those recording studios! Great find! Thanks for posting!
  12. International Race Of Champions. A Camaro one-off of the mid 1980s.
  13. Ironically, it's Comic Sans. I changed it to Arial. You should get better reception now.
  14. "I slowed the audio down. It goes something like this: "Intamin?! Why, that's balderdash, I say!" "Really? And whom do you think is the better, pray tell. Vekoma?" "You insult my intelligence, madame! Perhaps a wallop from my handy umbrella will teach you!" "Ah, touché! However, my hairspray is an effective armour all unto itself, so Ha to you! Ha, and a pox!" "Vixen! Abast! Or I shall swing once again!" "Swing, I say! And see how fit thou findst the floor!" The rest is inaudible."
  15. That is, unless someone made memorial glass bottles in honor of victims.
  16. Standing in line for T3, there is a 13/14 year old girl flipping out in line saying that she is going to die, she is going to fall out, everyone is going to fall out and that someone died on it. The adult with her was trying to reason with her but it's not working. 1. She was 'flipping out?' Nice! (Tb, cross-threading...) Also...a parent let their 8/9 year old relieve himself in line. I guess if you stand around him and let him aim through the fence, it's okay?! 2. That "Depends" (Tb, cross-threading...)
  17. Glimpse the blimps that fly the sky above the love in our pretty city!

  18. Philosophically, I'd say any ride that is enclosed, with elements that are only visible through the use of special lighting (spot, strobe, black, etc.), regardless of the time of day outside.
  19. Off The Charts' performers nail it consistently. It's very good, amusement park-level entertainment (Catch their rendition of "Something in the Water" by Carrie Underwood; for it's a wow!). The band is amazingly tight and has a very robust, professional sound. One of the male singers sounds like he struggles a bit with Michael Buble's "It's a Beautiful Day," and the "Solid Gold '79" dance routines seem a bit cheesy, but it's family entertainment, and I've seen many families enjoy every show all the way through, which is a good thing. Their family-ized version of Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" is a bit bold, and it tends to thin out the "hip" youths in the audience a little bit, but those who stick around are treated to awesome moves and harmonies, and a jazzy rendition by the band that really packs a punch! Cirque Imagine is simply world-class, period. It's the Cadillac of this year's regularly-scheduled entertainment. The Festhaus shows are "samplers" of nostalgic songs, sometimes segued one-right-into-the-other, usually mid-stanza, and at a tempo that seems intended for delivering "high energy," but comes off as rushed. They're "cute," and have a high-school glee club feel to them. The music is canned, and doesn't really "explode" onto the stage as announced (although it can be loud). Afficionados of classic rock might long for more bass and more crunch instead of horns and high-harmonies, but the talented kids do enough to entertain the big, air-conditioned food place. The use of "strobe lighting" and "other lighting effects" adds that touch of "pizzazz" to the shows that fills in somewhat for the lack of a band. Fans of the old "High kick and spin" dance moves of the "Carmine Ragusa" 1970's will appreciate the family atmosphere of these little gems!
  20. Tb... cannot... help... it..... "Dude? Vat's the matter? C'mon, man! Really?"
  21. Dang, Terpy! That's downright traumatic! Sorry that happened to you. I just avoid riding the "pair-up" coasters unless I'm with my friends.
  22. Alright, alright! Huge McConaughey fan here! Thanks for the compliment! It's from the heart, though. All genuine Tb.
  23. Good to see KI's little sis in this beautifully-photographed PTR! Sounds like 305 was a wow! Thanks for posting!
  24. Time is an illusion. Passing events get stored in our memories, but the lengths of time do not (otherwise, we would have to "replay" entire processes as we remembered them in order to reach a specific memory, rather than being able to recall instantly like we do). Therefore, anticipation and present-time experiences are perceived as slightly longer in terms of time content. If we think of events in reverse order, it helps us to orient ourselves as to how "long ago" something happened. Because of known limitations, such as lengths of days, life spans, physical distances, etc., our minds naturally gravitate towards plotting events onto a path, rather than stacking them in a fixed, randomly-accessible point. If it "goes" anywhere, it's always here, now.
