I guess I don’t consider Orion having the thrill factor because of how Mr. Koontz talked it up for being something families can ride together.

That is what I immediately saw and cringed on….ugh. Even coasters through Mystic Timbers…since then, meh. Agreed with y’all. What happens when the kids of these families get tired of Mystic, Adventure Port, SSBR? What next level thrills do they have to go for outside of aging rides, that becomes their Firehawk and Vortex? Firehawk and Vortex haven’t had worthy replacements in terms of thrill. I mean, I love Orion, however it didn’t replace the thrill factor of Firehawk.

Wasn't there a recent notice of commencement or something where the FAA approved the addition of a ride based on height? Or is that a fever dream?

Eh kinda similar.....the "orange" you see is really pronounced by the sun.....it's more like a poo brown up close....grey on the bottom of the track and that blue is almost grey.

While this would be cool, I highly doubt Kings Island or Cedar Six Flags Fair would be able to pull it off not only budget wise, but with the technical side as well. The park/company has struggled in the past several years with operating the basic coasters, cannot imagine how they'd run a coaster with multi launch, turntable, and effects to this caliber. I could be wrong...but yeah, don't see them dropping the kind of $$ needed to build this.

Time Traveler is great! Would love to be able to ride something like it on this side of the Mississippi. @BeeastFarmer it isn't nauseating at all.

Haven't heard anything about Shockwave, but have heard La Vibora is out...though unconfirmed from an actual source.

If only KI/Six Flags could handle something that complex and be willing to pay for it.

I have been campaigning for something similar to this path since they removed those decorations to another area after the 2nd year....glad to see there will be something more than just random lights and deer.

I agree,and I definitely think it needs more of an intimate setting. When it was in the former location, though a bigger location, the animal stalls, the patio heaters and off the path made it much better. As long as the menu features items with names that guests can determine what exactly they would be eating. I know a few years ago, I had to look up what exactly the menu items were. Everyone can hope that the Holly Jolly Trolley battery lasts longer than it did last year on each day of operation.

I must be missing what show was added..... What The Dickens was always fun...but that $10 Starbucks gift card apparently ran up too much they had to cut the otherwise low budget show. (BTW, that $10 Starbucks Gift Card was a nice gift!)

I would assume they'd want everything filled by end of calendar year. From what I understand everyone who has had a position in a park through "corporate" such as Digital Marketing Manager, Director of Communications, Marketing & PR Professional, etc. have to reapply and interview for positions with the newly merged company. Not only does this help "trim the fat" but it also helps the company restructure into more effective operations.

And here I was hoping they’d eliminate them completely.

From various people who visit Canadas Wonderland, there have been nothing but good things said of Grace. Elizabeth’s position has essentially been eliminated, as has the director role that Chad was in. While they haven’t been let go, they have to reapply and interview for positions within the greater communications/marketing departments under a regional director. Whomever ends up at KI in comms would essentially be a point person and wouldn’t have a big say in PR at the park.

I still prefer Orion to Fury 325...while Fury 325 is great, it feels like after the tunnel, they struggled to figure out how to get the train back to the station. I'm bored after that.

That hasn't always been the case. When I purchased a new pass for Cedar Point, I visited Kings Island first. If I remember correctly, the only time I ever had an issue with not visiting my "home park" of Kings Island first was back in 2011 at Carowinds (but that's been par the course down there at that time).

I am fairly positive that these 2 seats are from TR:TR/Crypt inside of FOF.

Thanks for doing this! While I enjoy the close perspective photos with description, I really like seeing it overhead where you've found these. As @disco2000 said, maybe new bars? Could the markers be where site lines are surveyed? Are there any near/around I-Street at all? Coney is one of my favorite areas of the 2 big Ohio parks. The only thing I really don't like is where Killmart is, leading to the back of Windeseeker/Action Theater. It just feels dull once you pass Zephyr. Yeah KMAA opened the area a bit more, I don't feel like there's a spectacle in terms of what we see. The Killmart building IMO needs refreshed/brightened or razed, a new record breaking coaster (that provides midway excitement) plopped in Vortex's former home, the WindSeeker Plaza (in front of and behind) needs refreshed to be more welcoming and open.

I do kinda miss hearing the lift hill from the parking lot (especially as close to the highway as possible lol).

I legit keep forgetting that we're getting a new water "coaster." Since the announcement there's not been anything from the park about it. @IndyGuy4KI has been doing more updates than the park has.
