  1. I think they'll stick around for at least the decade barring any unforeseen circumstances. I do hope though in the future Mondial upgrades the restraints/programming to show what actual seat is not locked.
  2. I had no idea this page existed. I always saw it on the KD or Carowinds websites, but never KI. I'm glad it's there.
  3. The problem is that @Tr0y had already passed a handful of operators, assumingly including the one who checked his restraint and a different overzealous ride op went out of their way to check for a strap even though he had already been locked in, etc. It's not really a loose article if it's not a requirement to have a glasses strap. If it's a singular ride op "trying to be more thorough about guest safety," the ride op needs to know the actual policies.
  4. But it's not a thing at Banshee unless they literally just implemented it and failed to tell anyone but that 1 ride op.
  5. Water coaster please. Moosehorn Falls seems like one of the slides at Zoombezi Bay....it's okay...nothing amazing.
  6. I just wish they'd get shows out of Festhaus...I understand them being indoor, but I really hate that the performers are doing their thing and half of the venue is trying to eat and talk to their pals. It seems like a disservice to them.
  7. The fountains really need some work/re-do. The great unveiling was beautiful with the PVC pipe nozzles! I did initially like them, but they are incredibly bland...nothing "royal" and definitely nothing spectacular. When half of the 3 prong nozzles don't work, the random times it'll shut off for no reason, the lack of "show"/programming is sad. @brenthodge has it right with The Island show and the Canada's Wonderland show. Kings Dominion is a little less royal than it used to be, but at least there is variation, water flowing more than what comes out of a .25 inch nozzle. I feel like Canada's Wonderland got their fountain on Amazon, KD on eBay and KI on Temu.
  8. Beginning of the queue......so.....in theory, if he passed the beginning of the queue op with sunglasses, he would be good to go with them on the ride right? It hasn't been a requirement to have a glasses strap on in the past to ride while wearing sunglasses, wasn't a couple of weeks ago....so new policy or overzealous ride op.
  9. I definitely think people are thinking way too much into it....I get it though. But I definitely think that there are a ton of wild theories out there that really don't have a basis connected to reality.
  10. Excuse me, what? "Hey ride op, I plan on rejoining my party." That'll play out well. "My party is at the front of the line, I am rejoining them."
  11. A wedding in your future?
  12. Theming, layout, queue, and front row on the spike is just fun!
  13. I just want the drop down one gone...it's a pain as you open each page that you have to minimize the ad.
  14. Was able to score a ride on Snoopy's Soap Box Racers this past Thursday. I will say, it was just okay for me. I do like the design of the station/queue entrance at the station. Fast Lane scanner is in a perfect location. I rode in row 1 and it was okay. The ride itself is smooth. The next day I rode Good Gravy and I definitely prefer that out of the two.
  15. My only meal at the park yesterday was at Juke Box Diner.....I had the burger and fries which were good. Nothing interested me for a 2nd meal including any of the 3 sides. Still feel that they are lacking in variety of food items this year.
  16. Per @IndyGuy4KI's picture above, there will be more seating.
  17. As I walked around yesterday, I noticed/felt this too. Not very "campy." More trees are needed for sure, maybe more shade structures. I like your idea of rock work and water feature.
  18. Wasn't there supposed to be a tunnel to crawl through out in front?
  19. There are some really good blueberry wines. I'd do a blue ice cream wine! To deal with everything else in the park, it's needed lol
  20. Haha I thought you were so much younger than you are! lol Agreed...unless it's cheese and crackers...hard to mess up lol.
  21. For sure. I'm excited for this and hope to visit for it. I enjoy wine, so this would be right up my alley!
  22. Not necessarily a complaint that the announced it...seems like an odd thing for the park to use labor costs to set up everything they needed to in Tower Gardens to close it a few weeks after opening day when they are already cutting things due to budget. Sorry if it seems as if I'm nitpicking everything, I really am trying not to. Heck, I showed up to the park opening day after I previously decided to not go to KI this year. I really want the best for KI and am constantly trying to understand the reasoning behind a lot of things, especially when decisions are made because "budget" but then they do something that just doesn't make sense in terms of budget.
