  1. Sure, if I can find them and if the scanner works. Probably in a few days, and if i can find them I'll PM you cause I'll be working all day for the next few days. You can use google too.
  2. So is that guy Sparky, looks arent everything I guess.
  3. ^hahah the interpreter knows more about marketing and how decisions are made in parks than you will probably ever know, pay attention to what he says, youll learn a lot. Forums dont always offer the best demogrpahic of opinions, especially amusement park forums, they usually consist of coaster coveting thrill seekers and kids, not the average soccer mom or family dad who will be the main focus of getting to the park to empty their wallets. Some parks have done nothing but market to these thrill seekers and put in the tallest and fastest but not the most reliable rides, it has neglected the family and caused them loss of profites and attendance like what has happened recently at Cedar Point. Some parks have been able to reach out to thrill seekers and the fmaily at the same time by offering multiple new family attractions. Know the park I'm talking about? SFGADV does things right!
  4. PKI marketed SOB as the the ONLY wooden looping coaster, not the first. I have many books with old photos of looping woodies from the early 1900's. Most of them had cirlce shaped loops instead of the tear drop shape like you see today and they werent very sucessful back then. It wasn't untill Anton Scwhartzkoph built the revolution that the modern looping coaster really took off. SOB is the first modern looping wooden coaster, but not the first in history by any means.
  5. ^There is an RCT3 recreation of Carowinds that was decent, i think carowindszone has it.
  6. ^werent you the one who reported attendance and profits up 33% this year? I admit I was wrong, but the faxct still remains that PKI is a scuessful park because they are geared towards families, the thrill seeker aspect hasnt done much good for other parks.
  7. Actually StXstevenI wasnt angry at anything you said, just pointing out your lack of intelligence, you say the locals are bored, if the locals are broed why does attendance increase every year?
  8. Great trip report avatar, its nice to see familys still having a great time and making a day out of it even on one of the more crowed days. If your daughter wants to start brushing up on being a ride op she can check out some of admiral ackbars scketches of the control pannels Great TR! I really enjoyued reading it!
  9. This is why you dont have a future in marketing (well maybe in CF's with that attitude) Tough luck? Why cant it be fun for the whole family? I bet youll be saying otherwise when your older and cant handle the intense rides and want something nice to do with your kids. In some cases, the theme can be jsut exciting as the ride, PKI didnt always do a good job of this in some cases but did do it well in other cases. CP gets best park award because of other things they do, not jsut cause they break records, they have an extremely clean park with an extremely disciplined staff among other many things and ammenities. Theres another reason why parks are geared towards families....they bring in the money. PKI has had attendance boosts and profit increases even amongst their budget cuts because they build family rides and expand kids areas and this year they're doing better than ever. Just ask the interpreter who pointed out a 33% increase in profits according to forbes. CP has suffered in attendance lately because they seem to be ignoring the family aspect. This is why KI suceeds, they offer something for everyone. A massive kids area, and lots of thrills. They have the perfect mix and they succeed. You will soon see that CP cant keep gearing themselves towards thrill seekers, because its already been proven it doesnt work. Look at SFMM, it has more coasters than any park, and has a lot of thrills, they even added tatsu this year. An insanely large flying coaster. They get a new big coaster almost every 2 years. Yet, every year it suffers attendance drops and losees and now its for sale. Six Flags has realized they cant keep using the "buy a new park and give it a B&M" attitude. It doesnt work, thats why shapiro has now geared SF towards familys and its working. Families, something for everyone, its what parks were intended for and its what works for parks from a guest satisfaction and business standpoint. Its all plain to the eye to see.

^If you wanted to save people time, you didnt need to recreate the same topic again, instead you oculdve just searched for it to make sure it already existed or didnt exist, then commented on it instead of recreating it. Hence the rule.

Whose it hurting? The peopel who wanna find the information when they search, its just more convienent to have it in one place, not a million topics about the same thing. I didnt make the rule, I just pointed it out to you, no need to whine.
  12. ^Your a supervisor under 18? Back in the day when I used to work for the park in the rides department and games department you had to be 18 to be a sup but I dont remember for the toher departmetns. When I visit as a guest these days I notice some food sups who definently dont act liek theyre 18 so whats up with the park these days?
  13. Everyone on this topic seems to think this is a death toll for SFKK but if SFKK is doing so bad then how come it isnt one of the 6 parks SF listed as for possible sale?

*rollseyes* Please follow the T.O.S. and search before recreating the same topic over and over. Theres alreayd a few topics on this subject. Topic 1 Topic 2 Topic 3
  15. You are right, I noticed this two days ago when I rode, it smells awful.
  16. ^You probably feel its more bumpy because you cant see whats going to happen next and cant predict exact timing of what hill is going to hit next. I know I get the same feeling, when I rode backwards the other day I thought I had the ride memorized then right before you hit the hill to where the track splits off theres a little bunny hop that you dont expect when going backwards and it ejects you really high then throws you back down, its great. I prefer backwards though because what little airtime you get, it ejects you out of the car and then the car forces you back down.
  17. I havent eaten at the park in years, unless it was a candy bar, everytime I've gone I've just eaten before I got there, left the park and ewaten someplace local, or went out with the people I visited with afterwards. However, on July 4th weekend while helping Ryan and Bill film nights of fire I decided to eat with them at the park. I paid 13 bucks for a bacon cheeseburger, medium dirnk, and fries at Happy Day's Diner. The food was REALLY good, worth 13 bucks? Hell no, but defienently really good, the food may be over priced but if your willing to splurge KI does have some great food. Especially Potato Works, as much as I like them I never feel like paying for them so I just pass on buying them while visiting.
  18. ^A very good article with very good points! If you're going to be paying a lot you deserve a quality product. A lot of these promotions that parks do are bad. Bring a firend free day for example, yeah the park makes a killing in profits but they also have a lot of problems. Thanks for sharing INterpreter, I hope all theme parks take note and I hope Magic Mountain can be saved

^Beast and Vortex both go well over 100ft son. And since you said rides, so do Delerium, Drop Zone, The Eifel Tower.
  20. ^At one point they had a merth-mobile from the Wayne's World movies and then it dissapeared and I saw it later that year at Paramount's Carowinds. They never had a Knight Rider car but did have a classical looking Model - T that can now be seen from the Eifel Tower sitting in a backstage lot close to Boomerang Bay where it has been seen for 2 years now. The only thing really in the Paramount story is some fake miniature submarine models from the hunt for red october, a star trek ship, the chariot from cleopatra, and some random stuff here and there.
  21. ^Whats Thunder Canyon? Is that a new ride?
  22. Adventure Express is not themed to any movie, it was installed theming and all before Paramount Communications bought the park, they wouldnt have to change a thing about it, maybe just drop the Indiana JOnes music in the que. Top Gun...to re-theme that considering much of the theme is gone they just have to throw out some signs, posters, and flags and your good. Maybe paint it and wash out the trough. Face/Off, just change the name, that could easily work. FOF is already set as it isnt themed to anything Paramount anymore. Tomb Raider could be quite the challenge, but what if you just tore down the building?
  23. ^I'll be heading up to the park this evening and I'll take a look for you
  24. ^id do it for sure! can you bring cameras?
  25. ^Nah, IJ isnt going anywhere.
