Those guys that were set up next to the swan lake in rivertown across from IJ are the same ones who do the show at GL? No offense to those guys, they put ona fun and interesting show and we're veyr nice but they use an entire stadium? Cedar Fair actualyl uses and entire former sea world stadium to do that lumberjack show that was on the grass by a pond at Kings Island? That is a huge waste, with all respect due to the performers taletns they dont need that big of a venue. ^but the newsletter editor, and i mean this in no offense to the current one employed, is not some major position that is unique to these parks that wastes resources and requires termination, I'm sure CP, KBF, and other CF parks have newsletters, I seriously doubt CF came in and cleaned house on thsoe that write the newsletter, they have other matters to worry about.

Wooferbear, you were employed at KI when it made the change from KECO to Paramount werent you? I seem to remember you said you were a cart sup, or maybe a manager, how did Paramount change the management and upper jobs?

^Even if the lines for rides are long there is so much other stuff to see and do that you'll still have a fantastic time. The park is also VERY well staffed on these weekends, that means lots of employees working rides, many employees cleaning, and many working food service to keep food lines (lines not prices ) down.

But, how do you know that they fired the newsletter writer? Doesnt CF have bigger fish to fry? I mean, the just aquirred five parks and I'm sure they're looking at how/if they want to re-structure the management and what changed they'll make, I doubt the newsletter writer was the first on their list to axe.

Hey wooferbear, this topic is not about your opinions of President George W. Bush or anyone's opinions of the president for that matter, head over to a different forum if you wish to discuss that. This topic is about Nights of Fire and the content that was filmed and photographed last night and put together over night through lots of hard work and effort on the part mostly of Ryan Suhr who did a fantastic job with this video. Whether you like him or not, he is our president, what he says in the video is true and all Americans can relate to it. The speech included wasnt one-sided, right wing, or left wing, it was condolence to the lives lost on September 11th, so lets have some respect here for the lives that were lost ont hat day and some respect for the man who has to lead the country through times like that and stand up under the eyes and scrutiny of every American through tough times like that, whether you like him or not it takes a lot to do that job and thats something to be respected of every American president so leave the politics off this topic! Great editing work Ryan, the video really captures how spectacular the event was, I cant telly ou how much I enjoyed contributing and working with you guys on the filming and production of the video, it really shows the effort and work we all put in. Night's of Fire was a great event that any American could be proud of, despite thsoe who feel Kings Island cut back this year they should know that Nights of Fire is still as powerful and moving as ever and that its full effect can not just be felt in this video. It closed at 11. Nights of Fire was great, not as long as in the past but still great none the less. The soundtrack was fantastic too, featuring great quotes from FDR, Reagan, JFK, and current president George W. Bush. The music was pretty good, especially the classic lee green wood song "i'm proud to be an American".

Just a quick reveiw of what we dicsussed: -coasterking123456 has no idea what he is talking about -Klockster is the sole authority on Vortex -Nylon can peel of the wheel but not stop the train Klockster, one day at the park you and I were discussing how some of the newer (or more recently built than Vortex) Arrow mega loopers like Viper at SFMM have the same wheels as the Arrow suspended coasters which are larger but seem to create a smoother ride. Does The Vortex use those same wheels, from what I saw last night it appears that the fenders have been replaced and are new and that there are larger wheels on it, however I breifly saw it.

Elmer what type of cell phone do you have? was it scratched or ruined? My razr wouldve been dead if that had happened, by the way Werner Stengel has much more engineering education than a 1st grader

Does anyone have some good video footage of the astroworld destruction and some of the bad things that are associated with six flags parks, I have a good idea for a park video.

I'm sure Intamin would bemore than happy to do it, and I'm, sure theyd be just as happy to charge accordingly. Son of Beast really isnt that much worse than The Beast now though. I rode last night in seat 12 (second from the front) and I had the time of my life on it then I rode in seat 13 (third from the front and a wheel seat) and it was bumby, but the wheel seats on The Beast are far more worse. SOB's real problem is the trains, if it wasnt for their terrible design most people would be able to take the kncoking around and not worry about the restraint attempting to murder them.

The 2 recent deatsh since 2004 that occursed before this were due to medical conditions, one boy had a thickering of the heart that caused his heart to beat irreguarly and another one woman died because of high blood pressure, they werent the rides fault, unfortuannently these guests or their parties ignored the medical recomendations which are clearly posted and were clearly posted before this. Please, if your gonna make a comment read the article and know somewhat about what your talking about, saying "dieing from these intense thrill rides" is only spreading wrong information, most likely the death on rock-n-rollercoaster was probably due to a medical condition. My sympathies go out to their family.

^No, it was my friiend tahichi but I did call Angelina to ask her if she knew where they used to take your photo on the ride and she wasnt even aware that there was a tomb raider the the ride, or 3 of them for that matter.

I see PKI and PCW as the gems in the sale, both get over 3 million in attendance and are highly profitable parks, not to say carowinds, dominion, or great america are any worse but they dont make the profit or attendance that pki and pcw does, it wouldnt surprise me to see CF treat those two better than the other paramount parks like how they do with KBF and CF compared to GL and Dorney.

And how would having the companies name on it spoil it? Now if it was a pornogrpahic picture on the front, that might spoil it, but the logo does not affect the ride, if your going to comment on EVERY topic thats fine, but atleast make it an intelligent post please that contributes something.

62 is a fantastic seat on any beast train, you do know that the numbers get changed around each year though dont you? What was train 2 last year is train 3 this year.

Kings Island already has quite a lot of those thank you. I would tend to agree. I don't like when folk paint a broad brush over a lot of people. There are good and bad workers at any large park. I agree with you, for the most part KI has very good employees who are usually friendly. Granted, not all of them are as friendly or taught to be as friendly and guest related as say teh Holiday World employees but their managent system is different and has less employees to watch. There are a few times when I do see KI employees acting as if they dont care about the guest experience and one thing that I think is unacceptable is walking around off the clock in pseudo-uniform. So many times I see people goofing off and acting stupid in line for rides then realize theyre wearing a paramount parks uniform with the collar tucked in or have it draped over their shoulder or around the waste. No matter if your off the clock or not you are an employees and represent your employer. When Iworked for Best Buy we were taught that if you were in uniform and off the clock and a customer contacted you, you were supposed to do your best to find them someone on the clock to help them or to help so as not to ruin their experience. There were many times where I got customers to the point of sale and was'nt on the clock and I handed them off to another sales person to ring them up, I didnt mind it cause it showed I cared about the customer, the store, and company, and eventually the good comes around and your rewarded for it.
