  1. Thanks for the kind words about Zoe, we are very proud parents. Yes the biggest crowd was at the condo, the crowds were really down even over Labor Day weekend.
  2. Winterfest pre Paramount was amazing. Then when they brought it back. Well enough said.
  3. The BoatHouse was excelent. Still CP has some of the best foodservices for a park. Great diversity
  4. Was that record in lack of attendance or unprofitable night?
  5. Yes lets upcharge everyone, because I for one want to pay admission to the park and then and extra amount to do the haunt. Hey why they are at it they can raise the food prices, merchandis prices and why not the price for parking. That way they can really increase revenue and build an awesome haunt. Because people wont mind paying extra for everything, they will still come because HH is such an awesome event. I think that attendance would go up because now people would have the privlage to pay extra for the Haunt which obviously means its better.
  6. Uhhh Yeah and if KI had the budget the Universal does. Hmmm pretty sure Universal's budges dwarfs KI's when it comes to the annual Haunt Attraction. Apples to Oragnes my friend, apples to oranges. Thats like saying why doesn't KI make Diamondback more like Everest? Uhhh cause they cant afford, makes no sense...
  7. The family and I just got back from our annual trip to Myrtle Beach. We spent the first week of September there and had an excellent time. The first week in September has become our annual time to go because my wife and I celebrate our wedding aniversary every year. This was #4. We had a great condo in a high rise in North Myrtle Beach that house my wife, daugher, in-laws, parents and myself. The crowds were light, the weather was great, and food was excelent. Before we get to the pictures here are some thoughts about the trip. As we do every year we went to the Dixee Stampedee and Zoe absolutely loved it. Honestly the best entertainment and meal for your money. If you have not seen the aireal act it is truly amazing, great show. We have stayed in North Myrtle Beach for the past 8 years and it is a much nicer area than downtown. Clean, Family Friendly, Great Resorts, and close to all the attractions. Downtown is going through a revitilazation which has hit some snags and I prefer to stay away until more things change downtown. The shopping in MB is great, Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach offer something for everyone. The classic stores are still around like Kligs Kites and the General Store... Mmmm Wall of Hot Sauce. But there are also lots of new stores which were realy unique. As always the dinning in the MB and GrandStrand is amazing. Some of the best seafood around and if you like Calabash Style Seafood you are in heaven. I didnt have one bad meal the entire time, which is amazing because we always try a few new places every year. Myrles Inlet is an area south of MB that is truly unique and different compared to the MB. The MarshWalk is amazing, its very beautiful and relaxing and a great way to get away from all the activity in MB. Before we get to the pictures, some final thoughts. No we didnt visit HRP and we had no intentions. For what you get the cost is to high. Enough said. Good thing we didnt visit anyways, because we had to buy a new tire on the way home anyways. Yes as some of you have heard, while we were heading home, we blew a tire on the WV Turnpike. Now here is something amazing. Traveling at 70 mph we hit some debri in the road, the right rear tire blew immediately and our vehicle did not waiver or even shake one bit. Heres whats more amazing we were in an SUV, a Ford Edge to be exact. The Edge was amazing in how it handled the blow out and especially at such high speeds. Check out the picture of the tire below. Overall we had an excellent time in Myrtle Beach, especially NMB. I honestly think there is something for everyone to do and its a great family vacation destination. Heres looking forward to next years trip. Enjoy the slideshow below. Heres the infamous tire... Thank you Ford Edge for your amazing handling abilities. Ford you will receive a letter about this. Turn up your speakers, hit play and enjoy.
  8. Yeah really a horrible idea. You would have to clear the park before you could start HH and let the HH folks in. Or you would have everyone wearing different color bracelets, ohh sorry you cannot enter the haunt no bracelet or you can ride The Beast. Horrible idea.
  9. Well its an outdoor Fearzone, if you turn it in to a maze it would become a giant conga line like Psyco Patch
  10. Im not a fan of boomers but I think the fill a void for parks. Small footprint, inversions, and a uniques experience. There are a lot of younger guests that wont ride something like Vortex but are more apt to ride a boomer. Plus I dont think anyone should ever complain when a park gets a coaster, even a lack luster used ride. After all CF could have sold the ride as is and it would have cost them less money. Instead they moved it and bought new trains for it. It is an improvement no matter how you look at it.
  11. ^ Yes and it looks awesome. The Fearzones at CP are the best part. I will be making my annual Halloweekends pilgrimage to CP on the 11th of October.
  12. The pics are awesome, I was looking at one in particular because it gives a great idea of how steep the lift hill will be. Looking at this picture Im pretty sure that the lift will be at 45 degrees, if you notice the area I circled the support that attaches to the track has a 90 degree angle and the other 2 corners of the triangle are equal making them 45 degrees a piece.
  13. Great pics, looks like some great speed coming out of the splashdown still seeing as how high the station sits.
  14. That composite is awesome, nice work. Looks like the train really climbs out of the Splashdown, I have a feeling this thing is going to have a lot of speed at the end of the ride.
  15. You know looking at the first 2 lift supports, and this might just be the angle, the lift looks like it goes up very steep.
  16. Maybe you should put your phone on vibrate or silent while in class. Hey heres a better idea, turn it off. Anyone want to take responsibility for their actions or just blame other people?
  17. Well if you can get over Cedar Fairs poor naming of past Paramount attractions then I dont know how you couldn't be happy with the change from Paramount to Cedar Fair. Now Cedar Fair just needs to figure out what they are doing with the Crypt and put some TLC in to the other themed coasters like AE and BLSC and add some more dinning options and KI will be back to its glory.
  18. They are currently positioning the first piece of track in the splashdown...
  19. Speaking of websites looking the same, I was hoping that HH would get the CF versions like CP and KBF...
  20. Seriously? Is this a joke? If not I am just amazed at the events KI keeps doing this year, yes it is a little gimmickee but what better way to get the park in the national media than by setting a world record. Great way to get some amazing free national attention and at the same time they can mention HH and Diamondback for next year.
  21. Who hasn't been victimized by a Vekoma Boomer??? I think that is the better question.
  22. Yeah but I just think for this year, Corstalkers in Rivertown would be pushing it. I have a feeling with the construction and the attractions in that area already for HH it will be very very crowded. Plust the line for TombStone Territory can have gigantic lines as can RedBeards Revenge. I just think this is a one year move to help eliviate some of the congestion in an aread that will not be able to handle its normal capacity. So rather than just shut CornStalkers down for the year it has been moved, I for one wont complain.
