  1. That's My Coke Rewards, a reward program which is being discontinued (it goes away for good at the end of June). On the topic of new things, Zephyr got new seats this year. Instead of the small wicker seats with cushions, they're now larger black plastic seats. They're more comfortable and seem to be roomier. I didn't get a picture of them though as I was in a hurry (last ride before I had to leave for work).
  2. I've gotten two rides in on Mystic Timbers so far (once last night and another one early this morning). I love the ride and the roomy cars, though the shed was a bit over-hyped in my opinion (although I do love "Cars". As a music buff it's interesting to note that "Cars" was released the same year that Beast opened (although it wasn't released in the US until the following year).
  3. 2 1/2 years later, riders stuck on Joker's Jinx again... http://www.fox5dc.com/news/local-news/248441128-story
  4. I had the broken ad appear again but wasn't able to reproduce the issue. I did take a screenshot of the ad and generate an HAR file if you're interested.
  5. I don't see such an option if there is one. Looks like map view is still a work in progress. If you choose map view for rides it doesn't give you anything other than the map either.
  6. That's similar to the ad I saw when running into this issue. If it pops up again I'll try to get you the details needed.
  7. It doesn't appear to be due to AdBlock or similar. I've run into it twice recently - once at work (no adblock at all) and once on my own computer (KIC is whitelisted). If I run across it again I'll get the URL so you can look into it further.
  8. Also, you can get a regular map by going to one of the ride category pages (under "Play" in the menu), then click "All Rides" and "Map".
  9. If you zoom in on the Google map you can see the locations of all the rides and such (double click to zoom in and double right-click to zoom out if you're on a computer)
  10. Now I need to rework my vacation plans as I was hoping to stop there on my way to Knoebels in July. I may try to squeeze Kennywood in instead.
  11. I'd like to see them actually do something with that old Flight Commander site besides the various uses it's seen the past several seasons (Eurobungee and Dinos Alive reserveable picnic spot). I realize that the small size of that spot and the basically hidden queue area would probably make it difficult to put something there, but a good Music Express or similar ride would be a perfect fit for that spot in my opinion.
  12. I noticed the new banner tonight as well. Very cool!
  13. That's going to make it a lot less fun than it has been the past few years, but I'm still coming both days.
  14. I highly recommend it. It's a ton of fun and you get lots of ERT while still having plenty of time to ride everything else.
  15. Last year the crowds weren't bad except at the food stands. It was also only for those who renewed in the fall. I don't know if the same restriction applies this year. Expect opening day to be extremely crowded, especially with a new coaster opening this year.
  16. Found this yesterday (on the website go to Plan a Visit then click "Rider Height Requirements" and expand the "World's Best Kids Area" section). Two rides are missing, and one that hasn't been there for a couple seasons is still listed, albeit with a typo ("Snoopy's Spash Dance").
  17. It's an interesting little park. I stopped by on my way to Erie last year and spent a few hours there riding everything a few times. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
  18. My dad has an autographed copy of that book. Definitely a great find, especially for those of us who are too young to have experienced Coney prior to Kings Island.
  19. You can go to https://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/notifications/options/ to change your notification settings (click on the bell at the top of the page then click "Notification settings")
  20. Thanks for all you've done over the years Ryan. I joined this site in 2005 back when it was "pkicentral" and it's amazing how much it's grown since then. Good luck with your future endeavors!
  21. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-fire-disneyland-20170213-story.html 4 cars destroyed, 4 heavily damaged, several others with minor damage. 7 employees treated for smoke inhalation. No word yet on how this all started but my guess is it started with a single vehicle catching fire and just spread to the others around it. Fortunately nobody was seriously injured. I do feel sorry for those whose vehicles were involved though.
  22. The main food stand in Soak City is well run because it's well planned - a queue area, half a dozen or so ordering windows and a dedicated order pickup area so guests don't hold up the line while they're waiting for their food
