I think it would be a great thing to add some dark rides, even the six flags have like monster mansion, the themed log flume over at six flags over texas etc. This can draw the families that draw money spenders, and memories built that can come full circle visiting over a life time!

Well as you know Knotts is an incredible park, with two fantastic dark rides, one a mine ride (non coaster) taking you into a gold mind, and the other the incredible log flume. Knotts new GM is talking about knotts in this article interview out today. But also the future rehab of these two great rides, and possible more dark rides. With the new Disney guy in charge i would hope this happens, what an incredible mission, vision, and passion this would be remember the younger guests that get engaged could easily turn into long time members of Cedar Fair Parks as guests, and especially season pass holders and some of those young guest spending money with their families so the top parks at Cedar Fair can build campgrounds, new coasters, and more thrill while entertaining all family and guests needs at different ages. Sure you cannot build exact disney parks, but a couple nice dark rides for Kings Island ? Or Cedar Point would be incredible. Here is the article, and could this be awesome or what:

Kings Island owns all the land behind great wolf correct? But has sold great wolf land i do believe?

Better looking food that is great! Way to go Kings Island, but again so people don't leave possibly between 6pm and 8pm maybe a nice relaxing wait staff location is needed. Trust me some nights I would have stayed till closing instead opted to go relax even at the Bob Evans General store, even the McDonald's , and on a adult liquid kind of day hit Outback to converse with friends or family. Great new addition for KI better food is good for the big anniversary year.

Let us do the worlds largest Burning man at Kings Island, camping and one heck of a bond fire at the end with flames going up and down hills . But has anyone realized Kings Island lost 2 thrill rides, lately. The park has land to expand maybe they will. But Kings Island is one of the top 3 or 4 in the Cedar Fair Chain of parks, and top 10 in the seasonal business over all. Kings Island needs to move on and build some rides. I was thinking maybe a antique car ride you don't steer you ride on 4 adults to bring back the feel, and you go through different buildings full of some anamatronic characters and wind through the woods and park like settings. Plus Kings Island for such a big 40th year needs a monumental ride installed and some of its bad apples fixed or taken out. Plus as Don already said the Tomb raider the ride was already removed.

Had the beach bought a log flume or were they planning some expansions.

I'd say in the future when contracts are up hello to disney. Universal could get real interesting if they did lose it what they would do with spiderman the ride. Hulk always could be rethemed. Time will tell

Well this is so hard to compare why its better, of course great topic to start love freedom we have to explain our opinions in life. However so hard to compare Kings Island to any disney empire parks.

TIE: LAROSAS any of them in the park, and Blue Ice Cream for dessert: (why is larosas pizza taste better at the park, I think its better than their locations). And outside the park Outback steak house! or on the cheap days: Kings Island Mcdonalds: on really low money days Speedway for a hot dog! and on nostalgic feeling days: Sonic close to the park!

sandiego for years was # 1, now its the mega plex Columbus zoo, amusement park, water parks , golf courses oh my. Nice to see Cincinnati #2, If they had more land to expand it could be a tie with Columbus eventually, but with sandiego slipping ( and in all sense one of the best zoos), they will come back with something soon, to move back up in the ranks im sure. Kudos to Columbus zoo though way to go!!!!

Roger Rabbit alone was packed with Fast Pass guests slowing down riders for the standby lines, that was just one ride at Disneyland. Kudos finally upholding the rules to make everyones, not just one group special day memorable, enjoyable, and everlasting.

I even went to surf when it became Caddys night / swim club it was cool, it is just sad to see that both parks have closed surf and now beach . I think Cincinnati could handle another one, at one time the Beach was years ago going to possibly build a park in NKY they were so good. The beach owners I applaude for keeping it going this long, with flat profits, they made every effort to get more financing, its ashame . The owners are even going to keep the maintenance up this coming year so we shall see if they can get a partner or some help. Coney North? Coney tried that with Americana. The kalhari south no way we could not handle another in door in the cincinnati market??? Time will tell.

Cedar Fair would be nice, but someone with the wallet, the money and the vision could make a go at it. Lets hope for the best!!!, As for the Soak City as the 2nd gated admission area that would really put lots of Season Pass holders up in arms. It would be difficult to do at this stage in the game.

Yes the beach is good alternative , but lookig at the figures 15000 jobs over 27 years, thats about 555 a year, then 7 million people--That is averaged to about 259,000 a year. I'm sure a lot of them for the Holiday fun too. Yes on the ramp it seems Bob Evans does the best. Who knows what would go in there, if you look at the signs there has been land for sale too for years.

In 2013 they wouldn't with the Season Pass holders, unless they added a bunch of stuff. It is interesting that the new entrance sells tickets, another perk the season pass holders lost. But for most day trip enthusiasts they will still go to dry side i'm sure.
