Tough one! For best themed ride...SDATHC. It very much follows the cartoon adventures of Scooby Doo. For best themed eatery....Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack. It is VERY based on the movie Forrest Gump. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Top 10 Reasons why Phantom Theater was better than Scooby Doo & the Haunted Castle: 10. Other Paramount's and non-Paramount's parks have a SDATHC type ride, whereas PT was unique to the world. 9. PT didn't use cardboard cut-outs. 8. PT had MUCH shorter lines than SDATHC. 7. PT was more entertaining than SDATHC. 6. PT had a nostalgic atmosphere. 5. Tough question! Since it shares one name, it's considered 1 coaster. HOWEVER, I consider the Race to be TWO (2) separate roller coasters because; 1. They have separate tracks. 2. They use separate trains. 3. There are times when one of them (forwards/backwards) is closed and the other is operational. 4. You can't ride them at the same time. That's my humble opinion. Hello Shoegirl, Thanks for your nice comments. My son is doing well and is FINALLY gaining some weight. My wife is recovering slowly, but surely. PKI is indeed a great place to go to relieve stress - especially without little ones so that I can enjoy the big rides. I think that PKI should build a small studio for filming commercials, TV shows, etc. and give "backlot tours" like Universal Studios and Disney Studios. However, I really doubt they will. Probably the upgraded Paramount Theater is as close to a movie studio as PKI will ever get. C'est la vie. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

The parade sounds like lots of fun. I plan to attend with Mrs. Chef, Baby Chef, and our video recorder. Mrs. Chef and I attended Disney parades in Disney's Florida, Calfornia, and Japanese parks - and really enjoyed them. Additionally, I attended the Lotte World parade in South Korea. Thank you for the great report. I wish that I could've gone to PKI on Easter, but my mother and sister were here from NYC to meet my son. Maybe next year I can visit PKI on Easter. I vote for the Premier - LIM ~ Flight of Fear launch at PKI. Disney Studios offers a similar launch with its Rockin Roller Coaster. Being hurled forward mega-quickly sure beats being pulled uphill by chains. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

I was originally planning to visit PKI on 4/3, the dry run day but couldn't because God blessed me with the birth of my son, Antonino, on 3/31/04. Hence, my first day at PKI for the season was today, 4/10/04. My friend Ryan (Boddah) met up with me at my place to see my newborn son and recovering wife, who are both doing well. We spent about 4.5 hours at the park from 4:30-9 PM. First we rode FoF and there was a VERY short line. It was my first coaster ride of the year and an awesome experience. Thereafter we rode The Beast with its new seat belts and sound effects - a magnificent time. Since TR:TR didn't have much of a line, that was the next ride we conquored. Then we went to the Paramount Theater for the Paramount's Magic of the Movies Live show. It featured clips from Sleepy Hollow and Titanic. Seven audience members were selected to act in the show - and Ryan and I were amongst them. He played a horse and I acted the role of the wind. Next came Adventure Express, a truly awesome Arrow coaster. We then had dinner at Mandarin Cuisine - the VERY best eatery at PKI. I personally recommend it. After dinner I bought gifts for my son and my wife. Then we went to H-B Land and rode SDATHC. It's really cool, but I STILL prefer Phantom Theater. Next was Rugrats Runaway Reptar, which is pretty darn cool for a children's coaster. Our next ride was Delirium, which had a short line for a change. It was getting dark, so we could enjoy the bright lights in the park. Thereafter we rode The Racer and then FoF for the second time. It was already 9 PM, closing time, but we managed to enjoy the last Adventure Express ride for the night. Since my son was born, I've averaged 3 hours of sleep a night in an effort to care for both him and my wife. The pregnancy was rough and I had to run between 2 hospitals to look after both wife and son. Now that they are both home, I need care for both of them. Hence, my PKI visit today relieved a great deal of stress. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

I would like to thank you all for your compliments. It's no secret that I love PKI. My son was born on 3/31/04 and quickly transferred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital because of intestinal issues.
