The problem with Winterfest '05, in my opinion, is that it seemed thrown together in attempt to make the park appear more marketable for potential buyers. I think if an actual effort was put into the event, it could work.

AVATAR Is Going To Animal Kingdom
beastfan11 replied to Avatar's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The franchise is nothing compared to the recent aquisitions (i.e. Lucasfilm, Marvel). When Disney got quiet about the project and then announced the purchase of Lucasfilm I thought for sure that the project would be shelved, but there really isn't a place for anything Lucasfilm related (or Marvel for that matter) in the Animal Kingdom park. Going ahead with Avatar makes sense, but I think it's a risk. There are two movies stated for the future of the franchise, but to be honest I don't see them being anything earth-shattering. I didn't think the first one was anything to exciting, save the visual experience. The story has been told. What else is there to say? No doubt the expansion will nothing short of spectacular. It's just... eh, Nothing families will get excited for. Look at Universal. Harry World (that's what it's called, right?) has been the vacation destination for a lot of family and friends of mine. People love Potter. Kids love Potter. Does Avatar really have that pull? Personally, I want to see a Star Wars expansion announced. It would be ridiculous not to. I want to hug an Ewok! -
I think you forgot some. Elvira's Superstition was ditched for a year and replaced by another film: "Dracula's Castle," or something of that nature. I also remember something like a "fun house" type movie being shown during HH/FF one year. Neither were anything fantastic in my opinion.

That's what I thought. Sorry. My memories a little scattered. You can't expect me to remember my girlfriends birthday and all the original Coney Island names. Haha.

You mean the Lost River? Because I totally agree. Edit: Reffering to BB1. Terp beat me by a few seconds.

If Ouimet was CEO during the Paramount acquisition...

This is single handedly the dumbest and most biased post I've ever read on this site. Let it go. -
Why are people so hell bent about ripping rides out just because they're older? It's not as easy as a couple clicks on Roller Coaster Tycoon. Sheesh.

I know Sally Corp. had to (unwillingly) modify the Phatom Theatre cars for Scoobu, so maybe that could have something to do with it

I don't how possible this is, but how awesome would it be if there was a Hofbrauhaus inside the Festhaus? I think it'd be totally doable given the similar seating arrangements.

Thank you ma'am!

So let me get this straight. I made my Girlfriend create a username and she registered just fine. I sent an RSVP email for both of us. Is that cool?

See ya guys there.

Keep some mints with you, take some deep breathes, in through the nose, out through the mouth. Camomile tea also helps greatly, but that's not readily available at the park. Hope this helps. Collin, who fights the good fight with nasty hangovers on occasion.

I'm thinking The Doors first album. Why? Because the dark poetic value would beautifully echo the theme of the ride. And it's great music. Banshee, she's a Twentith Century Fox...
