Well this rumor is really going to fly now. Somebody either told screamscape or they've been reading KIC today. http://www.screamscape.com/html/kings_island.htm scroll to the bottom of the page.

A picture would be much appreciated. Nothing says "PROOF" like a picture.

Go tonight and see the construction equip for yourself. So.. .. .. .. .. .. not trying to doubt you here at all WHODEY, but I did walk through that area last night and didnt see any construction equipment. Although, i cant say i was looking for it specifically and it was really foggy last night. I may have very well missed it.

What would be wrong with a coaster being too close to The Beast? We've all seen how close Firehawk is to FoF right? Well, standing in line for Firehawk does not give away much of Flight of Fear's "secrets" since it is in a building. Probably not a fair comparison. Personally, I don't mind flying by the double helix at over 95 mph on a new hypercoaster. I will be too focused on the ride I am on to worry about The Beast. WHODEY buddy, what secrets? There are hardly any "secrets" left to The Beast. Especially after the many walk backs people have done. I can say for sure there have been at least 2 walk backs this year alone. One during coastercon 2007 and the second on the KIC day. But I think your right about flying by the helix at 95. That would be very cool.

What would be wrong with a coaster being too close to The Beast? We've all seen how close Firehawk is to FoF right? CF put Firehawk right next to FoF and in my opinion made FoFs line longer. The line for Beast has been really sort all summer long. I know it would mean a longer line for everyone but when a ride's line gets shorter over the years, it just makes me think the rides popularity is declining.

skjackson, if you're tired of people asking you all of these questions, discontinue reading this thread. You're just wasting your time and breath constantly trying to answer questions. We KIC posters are getting on your nerves, I can tell. Just trying to help you out here man, as i'm neutral on the subject.

This doesn't have much to do with the topic at hand, but it is about Cedar Point. I was reading the new On-Point Blog and scrolled to the header of the page and noticed that Skyhawk had four swing arms. lol

The only theming that i know of being used is the Jeep from out front of TR:TR. I believe it's being used over in Action Zone.

Nice one Interpreter. Honestly I don't see anything big next year. Maybe the G-trains on Racer or scrapped for parts for SoB. Maybe even a flat ride, or two, from GL. Rumor is we should be looking forward to 2009. But you know those dipndots guys.......... Like everyone else though i would like to see KI get the best of the best right now, not later.

I'll be there but I won't be enjoying the festivities. I'll be on The Beast all night long. Look for me.

Seven, sorry to say but you are wrong. There was wood involved in that steel spined loop. A wood coaster may run on steel plates along the track but wood is used to bolt that steel down. Take a closer look at the track in that loop. http://coasterbuzz.com/rollercoasterphoto.htm?i=2695

Woofer I don't think your taking what he said the right way. lol When he said abusing, he was likely reffering to the fact that there are always people that try to take advantage of the advantages they already have. People would go to many of the rides to get ride times and eventually get the same times and when they go up the exit to ride, they are way past their time and complain about that.

I know at CP when there is lightning, everything closes, including DT (and the Pirate Ride when it was operating). I wonder with CF now owning the park if their qualifications for shutting rides down has now changed. BTW, does anyone know if KI has their own weather equipment, or do they rely on local weather stations? I think the park has their own weather equipment. I say this because the last two years i would always walk by the building behind First aid, and just inside one of the windows i could see computer moniters with radar on them. These screens always had the radar up. Although I maybe wrong, i think the park uses an outside source for the radar.

Maverick Update!

The track work is complete (well except for the painting of the track) on Maverick. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm -
Firehawk to Debut Saturday, May 26th!
tycoonrebel7188 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
So has anyone heard anything about a media day for Firehawk. Or do you think that it will be saturday morning with the official opening? -
Can we get some proof in here? Maybe a picture or two. I know pictures have been taken from near said warehouse before.
-
I can also confirm that is not a photoshop job. I walked back there after my shift, and it now says Fort Kinzel. I think it is cool that they changed that sign.
-
Ummm...I just saw this on another site and I dont know whether to believe it or not. Guess I'll have to make a trip over there before my close shift tomorrow....errr....today.

The Beast did reopen this afternoon just before it began to rain (i believe it was drizzling when it opened though).

The Changing Face of the Island.
tycoonrebel7188 replied to King Maple The Tree King's topic in Coming Attractions
So when does everybody think we will start to see the redone Firehawk trains at the ride site? -
And since specialk141 said it was a "GOLD" pass, that means it would have been purchased even before the end of May. So I think we can pretty much say that CBS got the money.
-
I did not know you personally but you will be missed Maureen. Good luck in the future.

"the quiet, park-like setting showing off Paramount's most famous films (tucked away near the Grand Carousel) is now a movie-less oasis." And now The Paramount Story is a bare quiet zone.

It looks like the show is right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Between the tower and the main fountains.

It seems that this year some employees will have to find another way to Kings Island for work. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...0040/1056/COL02
